Jay Dix Station is a family fav. With an awesome train-themed playground, exercise equipment, swings, a bike course, sports fields, and access to the MKT trail and many more, there’s something for everyone to do.

Thanks to the sheltered picnic tables, public restroom, and drinking fountain we’ve been able to spend hours and hours here even on hot summer days.

The only draw back is that the bathrooms and drinking fountain are on the opposite side of Scott Blvd than the playground. It’s accessible via a tunnel (which the kiddos love playing in), but you’ll likely need to accompany them whenever nature calls!

This park is great! It’s right off the trail so you can bike to it from your home if you have trail access. My daughter absolutely loved the slides and the swings. In addition, it was a solidly built play set. We will be back here many more times with the warmer weather on the way.

The outdoor gym is very nice, all the machines/bars are sturdy. My main focus is on the bike track, it is very fun to practice on and is best for beginners. Needs some maintenance but still rideable. Lots of wooden features and it has decent flow for the limited space.

Always clean and doesn't smell like sewer ...unlike 90% of Columbia trails.

Wonderful little playground for kids. We love the shaded walking trail and easy to access parking lot. I love the option of starting here and going either direction for a walk, run or bike ride.

If you can tolerate the raw sewage smell, that seems to leach out of the Hinkson creek, this is a nice area to access the trail. The basketball court, bike ramps and playground are nice.

Hey, all you Scott Ave residents, corridor travelers, and ambulatory participants: say thank you to all who made this park - in the middle of the southwest pasture - possible. What a godsend to step out of your door and head right down to an exquisite place with space, resources for exercise, play, recreation and a grand gathering spot for cookouts and even simple lunches after a fun walk with a friend 😀.
Ok- gushing some - maybe.... having come from a garden community north of here, it is fabulous to enjoy a nice, albeit busy, and engaging site of calm, nature enhanced with a good source of renewable energy in it.
It's fun to have fun! Also, it is a great place to just stop, sit, roll the windows down, and enjoy. Now, maybe, if the snows, some cross country ski trails can be had....here's hoping.

Wonderful place just to play. Great access to the MKT Trail. There is a fairly simple bicycle obstacle course as well.

The MKT Trail is the one amenity I would miss the most if I were to live any place else besides Columbia. The trail is wide and is maintained as a loose gravel trail. It is flat and makes for easy bike riding and running. It is almost entirely tree-covered and, in places, travels between rock faces, making it a decently scenic trail.

The Jax Dix Station entrance includes a restroom, drinking fountains, parking lot, and soccer fields. The trail also contains mile markers and occasional emergency stations for calling 911.

The trail is well used and is busiest on weekend mornings. Via the MKT you can travel into downtown Columbia, or in the opposite direction toward the Katy Trail (which will take you to McBaine or Rocheport, depending on which direction you go).

Perfect place to park for hitting the MKT trail. From here you can ride right into downtown Columbia(about 4 miles) or head west to tue KATY trail that goes all the way ti St. Louis. Park also has a playground, pavilion that can be reserved, mountain bike skills course, outdoor exercise equipment, basketball court, restrooms on east side of the road. Soccer and rugby fields.

Me and my friend go biking here all the time, we usually start somewhere on the MKT and ride one direction or the other. We started at Jay Dix for a change, and it was surprisingly easy to get in the parking lot, despite being just off Scott Boulevard

Mountain bike skills park is a great little gem on the MKT, session some small features and get creative hopping off well built rollers and see-saws and a ripping little wall ride ... circulation is a bit confusing, find that clear line by starting with the see-saw, banking a left at the end, hitting the two rollers and heading down toward the wall ride.

Some rocks, some tight technical stuff, I sessioned it on my Kona Rove and had a great time.

Bench, small mountain bike stunt park on the northside, basketball courts (always busy with locals), bathrooms, bike repair stand, picnic area, water fountain, and childrens playground. On the MKT trail just before leaving the city limits.

The MKT trail is beautiful. This is the last major access point before it meets the Katy Trail at McBain.

Great access point to the trail - don't forget that there's parking and restrooms on the north side of the road .
