Sparky's Homemade Ice Cream

It was my first time coming here and it was just an amazing experience and place! I ordered a Mint Chocolate Chip and Strawberry waffle cone and I couldn’t be more pleased with the servings they gave. I asked for a double scoop, obviously, and they aren’t small scoops either. The flavour of the ice cream was very smooth and creamy, you can definitely taste all the flavors as well! 10/10 recommend this cutesy ice cream shop! The staff were also very friendly and very kind, not just to me but other customers as well!

Unbelievable atmosphere with the most inventive and delicious ice creams! Very friendly staff, reasonable prices, this place is entirely unique. These so-called garage find paintings have to be seen, don’t quite buy the narrative that they’re from random people unless they were purchased off the Internet, but the bottom line is, they are entirely enjoyable :)

Love Sparky's ice cream! I go for the vegan flavors. They always have a rotating vegan ice cream flavor as well as a couple of sorbets. The interior has a cool vibe and they offer outdoor seating. It's the perfect place to stop for a sweet treat!

What a fun and eclectic ice cream parlor! Delicious flavors, friendly staff and fair prices. I had the blueberry and the chocolate and it was so delicious! My son had lavender honey and mango. We were both very happy! The decor is fun and funky. Highly recommend.

Such a great find I was passing through Columbia, coming from Nashville and going into Kansas City and this ice cream spot caught our attention. So glad we stopped, the ice cream flavours were really creative, they also had most staples but with a flair to it. The staff were great and super chill as I took some time figuring out what to get. I think I ended up getting the oatmeal ice cream and the dark chocolate sea salt cream ice cream (soy based). So rich and creamy, I usually don’t get dairy-free ice cream but I couldn’t taste the difference. Really good experience, check them out for sure. And the artwork makes for some fun pictures!

Nice homemade ice-cream. So many options. We had chocolate, green tea and Oreos
. My girls love green tea cause it’s so sweet. But I prefer chocolate. Weekends always busy. But you can find a table to enjoy them.

Sparky's is always my go-to when I want a sweet treat! They have so many options but my favorite by far is the cookies and cream in a waffle cone. Good location in the middle of downtown.

Everything was great…. Cookies & Cream on a waffle cone perfection! Atmosphere super fun… staff was very helpful…. Especially with us being first timers! Highly recommend.

Sparky’s is a destination ice cream place, their standard flavors are delicious but the true stars are the daily flavors they swap out. They also have a creepy art gallery that complements the outlandish vibe, it’s just an overall fun experience.

Some of the art on the walls is little... Bizarre... But it makes for good conversation.

A beloved ice cream shop in downtown Columbia. This small and artsy shop offers a wide selection of homemade ice cream, featuring unique flavors such as Girl Scout Lemonades. The staff is eager to allow customers to sample the many mouth-watering flavors. It's a true delight for the senses!

Love sparkys so much! My family has been coming here for years, and they are just so awesome! I recently found out I’m dairy free, and I was so happy to find that sparkys offers such awesome vegan ice cream!

The best ice cream in whole Missouri. The ice cream you must try whenever you arrive in Columbia, Missouri. Their ice cream flavors and quality is superior than any other ice cream. The staff is very friendly, they will never say no to any ice cream trails which they do it with smile. The whole outlet is tourist attraction, it attract not only tourists but trendy crowd and Mizzou students as well. I strongly recommend this place.

The lavender honey tastes truly like it was made an hour ago in the back. It's a must try. The sorbet mix of prickly pear and bananas also tastes completey homemade like frozen bananas. I'm not sure if they do or not but it sure tastes like it! The vibe inside is incredible and the staff is so friendly and welcoming too!

I actually like Sparky's because it's an homage to the amateur artist, with its walls completely covered by paintings celebrating budding, novice artists. Some patrons visiting just giggle and poke a little fun, but I like to think that each has a story, and each was a labor of love or pain, or simply an expression of inexplicable emotion trying to get out. Charming. My favorite is a portrait of Johnny Cash which bears more resemblance to Gene Simmons. PS they sell ice cream too.

Fantastic ice cream. Amazing flavors. We had coffee, red velvet w/Oreo, dirt cup ice cream, we tried the raspberry and wine/dark chocolate among many others. Service was great. You won’t be disappointed. Prices reasonable/as expected.
