Sugar, Butter & Flour

This cake was for our dad's birthday. He has been battling stage 4 cancer and lost his youngest child this year so it was extra important to us that his celebration was as beautiful as possible and that his favorite cake (red velvet) was as delicious as possible. The cake was moist, and delicious and he enjoyed everything very much. Strangers at the restartaunt we went to for his dinner were commenting on it's beauty and the servers that we shared some with were very thankful. This cake was made with love and that's just what we were hoping for! Definitely recommended!

I purchased a large, single tier cake for my cousins graduation party and it was exactly what I asked for! The design was better than what I expected and looked awesome. I got a chocolate cake with cookies and cream as the filling and cream cheese flavored frosting. It was delicious and the layer of frosting wasn’t too thick which I loved. It was a huge hit at the party. The instructions for the cake and how to pick up were very descriptive which was also very helpful. I will definitely be ordering from Sugar, Butter, and Flour again in the future.

The cupcakes were absolutely delicious! I ordered 24 and they were gone within an instant. I will definitely order these again. It's so nice to have a local business in Columbia that delivers such an amazing product!

We ordered a delicious lemon and blueberry filling cake. The vine decorations were perfectly executed. The crumb of the cake was light yet substantial. The lemon flavor with a hint of tea was amazing. Sharing this cake with friends and family was a really special moment. The flavors were enjoyed by all! Thank you!

Update in 2024: this year, my son wanted a "volcano" birthday cake at a last-minute request. Of course, I had to seek help from Alanna, and she got it done in a few days, AGAIN! It's amazing and perfect. I bought some toppers from Amazon, and it became a perfect "volcano" cake.

I ordered a customized birthday cake for my son's birthday this week. Everything turned out to be amazing from the cake appearance, taste, delivery and customer service.

I made a mistake by requesting a complicated design on a last minute request online. Instead of turning back my order, Alanna worked around my request and order. Ex. I wanted a hot air balloon design (in two days of notice, that's my mistake of not being able to plan early), but it was too late to order the hot air balloon model. Hence, Alanna made clouds in blue sky with balloons as topper. It's super creative and cute.

I highly recommend Sugar, Butter and Flour for any event!!!

I have never tasted a cake as good as this one. I ordered it for my wife’s birthday and she loved it. I will definitely order it again.

The cake I ordered was beautiful and one of the most delicious cakes I've ever had--seriously. Reasonably priced, too! Her instructions on transportation, storing, cutting, and saving the cake were thorough and helpful, I don't often have custom cakes for occasions so I had zero idea how to cut it.

I don't often have an occasion to order a cake but you can bet I'm asking Alanna next time I do! It was a strawberry cake with lemon curd filling and vanilla icing. YUM.

This was my 6th time ordering from Alanna, and she knocks it out of the park every time. Cake is always moist, and delicious! Decoration is also fantastic!

I got a smash/mini cake for my boyfriend’s birthday. I was exactly what I asked for, very delicious, and honestly bigger than I expected! Very easy directions on how to get there, pick up, and store. Owner is very professional and friendly! Definitely would recommend and my go to sweets spot in Columbia.

We ordered another cake for my daughter’s Mizzou graduation, and she liked it even more than the first one! This time, it was gluten-free to accommodate an intolerance in the family, but you couldn’t tell because it was sooo delicious! Chocolate cake with peanut butter filling in full Mizzou colors. Alanna is the best at what she does!

My daughter returned early to Mizzou for sorority rush, so she was away from home on her mid-August birthday for the first time. I wanted to send her a cake to celebrate with her friends, and was thrilled to find such beautiful cakes with so many unique flavor combinations available at Sugar, Butter & Flour in Columbia. Alanna was great to work with and delivered the cake as ordered, on time, to the delight of my daughter! I will definitely order from her again for future celebrations!

I love this place. My husband found them and has purchased a few different items and they’ve all been fantastic. The German chocolate cake is phenomenal!! And the service is excellent. 100% recommend to any and everyone needing a baked good. (Photo is of my German chocolate cupcakes)

So happy! Not only was the bee themed cake I got for my daughters first birthday absolutely adorable, it was so delicious. Perfect texture, beautiful when cut into and overall everything I wanted.

Ordering online was easy and communication from the owner was quick and informative! Great instructions for pick up, transporting, serving and storing.

Beautiful cake. The small imperfection is from a bad cat paw after it was delivered in perfect shape. She was happy to adjust delivery time for me.

We ordered floral themed cupcakes for a baby shower and they were absolutely beautiful. I was so impressed with how they looked. My experience with Alanna was great! She was very responsive to my questions (via email) when I first wanted to order from Sugar, Butter & Flour. The cupcakes (German Chocolate) were amazing!
