The Marigold Grand Hotel and Suites

This hotel was a sweet and quaint find when we needed a place to stay in Newton, KS. for my niece's wedding. Reasonably priced and beautiful inside and out! The lobby is so welcoming and leads to a large breakfast dining area that has ceiling to floor windows that overlook a beautiful green grassy golf course area. The complimentary breakfast included large plate sized waffles!
The rooms were large and spacious. There were extra pillows on our beds and even a complete large size ironing board which we really needed! The shower area was perfect and even had a heat lamp. My favorite-a pull out make up mirror mounted on the wall!
This hotel had an amazing feel to it. It didn't feel "corporate" at all or like a chain hotel. It was a gold nugget in the grassy flat land State of Kansas (a State that I have lived in earlier in my life!) and me and my older children enjoyed our stay very much!

Ended up coming here after a very bad experience at another hotel. Breathed a huge sigh of relief as we walked in, because it was completely smoke-free. Very nice looking building, and the elevator is in good condition. Staff was friendly, and worked with us on our last minute booking/late check-out. The best part was the shower, which had to be the best shower I've had. One of the three showerheads wasn't working, but still super nice. Very safe comfy environment, and will be staying here again for sure.

Customer service and speed of check-in was so great even though it was after 11 pm. The owner was very friendly. The room was very large and clean. And the breakfast bar is more than muffins. There was cereal and waffles, too. Rate was reasonable. So glad we found Marigold Grand!

Everyone was so kind and helpful. One lady even offered me a homemade cookie (delicious), and while I was out, room service actually moved my bags of luggage into neat piles when they cleaned my room. Another woman actually asked about my novels when she found out I was a writer, and she's following me on Facebook now. The Christmas tree by the fireplace in the lobby gave it a cozy feel. Did I mention my room was twice the size of those in other hotels I've visited? Or that the washcloths are folded into the towels in such a way that they almost look like little flowers instead of boring stacked squares? And they're super close to the zoo! If you're looking for some hole in the wall hotel, you'll have to look elsewhere because this hotel is actually comfortable. And it's wonderful to see a multicultural staff. Some people who have hotels speak with accents so thick that you can barely understand them, but that's certainly not the case here. Everyone's either a native speaker or extremely fluent. All the greats things about cultural diversity without the miscommunication of something lost in translation. You can even being your pet to this hotel for a reasonable rate. Room prices may seem high at first glance, but they have good connections with a lot of websites that offer great deals, so don't worry about a thing. Did I mention how close they are to gas stations and restaurants? You could walk the distance without much effort. Next time I visit Wichita, I know exactly where I'll be staying, and you should too!

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was very clean and our room (double queen) was huge! We stayed on a Saturday night and despite there being multiple guests - it was very quiet and peaceful! Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Staff was very accommodating. Will definitely recommend and stay here again!

Spacious rooms--some with jacuzzis; some with kitchenettes. One of the most elaborate breakfasts we've seen, complete with waffles. The staff is kind, flexible and responsive...and the place is just plain quaint! A great location in West Wichita, with a wide variety of cuisines in nearby restaurants.

Very kind front-desk staff, attentive and courteous as well. We had an impromptu family reunion in the common area and they were very gracious and accommodating with offers of a larger space, water and pastries for our party. Lovely older style building with beautiful outdoor space by the golf course.

Great family hotel. Quiet, one owner, not a chain. Super clean, safe. You have to wear a mask to enter. I like that! My wife and I stay here 3-4 times a year. Always excellent!

Great room, great free breakfast, super nice staff. Easily the best hotel I've ever stayed in at the price point. I wasn't able to find any vending machines, but they had drinks and snacks available for purchase at the front desk which was nice.

We've stayed here several times. The rooms are great and reasonably priced. We enjoy taking with the staff, especially Shawnee. The housekeepers are fantastic! Enjoy coming back time and again.

Very nice, clean, contemporary hotel - comparable to a Hilton Garden Inn.

This is a nice place . Nothing fancy, just peace and quiet. I'm a private person so no one bothered me. People are friendly when I spoke with them and my needs were met. Lots of food and places to shop in the area so I was happy.

This is a very nice hotel the breakfast was adequate and so was service for the conditions we're under, I would stay here again and perhaps we'll get our rooms cleaned and beds change

Loved the room. Nice service. Only complaint was room was a Long walk from door and Jacuzzi tub only worked for a couple of seconds at a time
