Very nice and clean. The staff was great. He greeted us at the door and made feel welcomed. We found what we wanted and never felt rushed or uncomfortable. Cool environment and would definitely go back when we go through Manhattan.

Great place to play games! They host events for all types of tabletoppers, the employees are always super friendly, and the coffee and tea within the store is decent and convenient.

I have visited game stores before and have been under inpressed, but I was pleasantly surprised at the Village Geek. Customer service was on point, the selection and vibe were great, and the little coffee shop was an excellent touch.

This place is fun and inviting. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave it is quaint and calm, but there is a fun energy in the air. The coffee and snacks are great while you game. Their in store play game wall is small but quality. The people and the games are all fun and enjoyable. If you get a chance, I highly recommend stopping by for 30min or more and have fun.

A great Game shop, hang out/study location that you don't see popping up too often. A good place to visit if in town whether visiting or living there.

Would love to see more places like this open in other states as well.

Great place. We've come here on a couple dates now to play a new game (you can borrow and play one of some hundred games at the store for a small fee). Staff are friendly and good at recommending what to play. There's always a group of regulars playing something. Wish we could come more often, we love learning new games!

Great game store with a large selection of board games & tabletop gaming supplies. Lots of playing space, and the coffee shop in-store is a really wonderful idea.

Nice store and friendly staff for in person business. Owners treat their staff well and show kindness and concern for customers. They maintain the best assortment of D&D miniatures that I know of in Manhattan. Five stars.

Great place if you're into board games or minis; small but good comic selection as well. Staff has always been super friendly to me every time I go in. I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak for that side of the business, but the drink names always make me smile. A+, would recommend.

Excellent board game and card shop. My friends and I go here several times a week and we always have a great time. They do a lot of free Magic the Gathering events, as well as open board game days and events for other games like Pokemon. The coffee is great and the staff is always friendly. I do wish prize support was a little better for paid events, but I think that's due to being a relatively new store in the area. All in all, it's a great place to spend the afternoon or evening playing games with friends or family. They don't allow outside food, which is a plus for me since there aren't any pungent food smells hanging in the air.

Fun and friendly environment and fun events to look forward to at an affordable and especially worth getting. They offer rewards for participating in their events and great deals for first-time people. Great food, great drinks, and friendly staff. There is room to improve but only by helping and supporting our local businesses thrive. If you're looking for a place to hang out, meet new people and have fun The Village Geek is definitely a place I would recommend.

Spied this place on our way up town and were able to swing by before we left town. When we arrived it was during the day when many are working or in classes so there wasn't anyone else in the store besides the owner. Gave us a chance to talk with him at length. Very encouraging to hear the backstory of the place as well as what they hope to see down the road. There was a very good selection of games and the whole place is in very good condition. The condition is a big selling point since there are many game stores that appear as if the owners don't care about their image. The good condition of this store makes it very inviting at any time of the day. Having a well stocked snack & drink area is an additional bonus and would make playing games here even more enjoyable. Not sure when we will return since we are not from Manhattan but if we are back in town and they're open, we will likely drop by again.

Amazingly friendly, clean and bright environment that my entire family enjoys coming to play and hang out at. Hot chocolate and coffee is just a bonus at what I consider a premier gaming store. Knowledgeable & friendly staff. My favorite place to play for Xwing and Pokémon but also boardgames too.

Absolutely my favorite hobby store in town, The Geek delivers on all gaming needs, knowledge, and staff enthusiasm. Great selection, though I'm a wargamer 3/4 of the time and it's hard to get stores to move a fairly niche, slow moving item. Coffee is fantastic, and they even let you rent out games to try them for a super low fee.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff who seem passionate about games and coffee. Coffee bar serves regular and fun "geeky" drinks. Comic books, board games and supplies line the walls, while tables and chairs are available for open board game time. If you will shop here a lot, get a sticker reward card. You'll get a sticker for every $50 spent, and then you'll get a discount.

Nice place. Informative staff. I don't game play. Just a Papa shopping for the Grandkids. They have a great selection and plenty of available playing area.

Great local store. Not really a store to buy singles from but they do have a small collection.

Whether your game is Magic, D&D, Warhammer, board games, or any other type of table top gaming, this place is the place to come and play with friends. They have a great staff and the prices are fair. The set up inside is inviting and they have great Chai Tea.
