El Potro Mexican Cafe paola

I’ve come here for years, every time I visit my daughter. We had a delicious lunch with large portions and I love the queso and salsa you start with. Great service and plenty of booths to sit at.

Got seated quickly and our server was super nice, just a bit on the slow side. Food tasted great and had a bunch of flavor. Loved how when you get chips and salsa they also bring out a small thing of queso, which was addictive.
Refried beans tasted great as well as the tamales.

One if the best Mexican Restaurants I've ever had. The queso was without question the best I've ever had, the food quality was amazing and delicious, the server was extremely friendly and professional, and it was a very nice establishment. Even the non Mexican food that we ordered for our kids was top tier. My 4 year old said he loved his food 3 times before he was even done with it.

Husband and I were in Paola at the dealership and felt Mexican for dinner so we popped in here. It was around 4:30 so we beat the dinner rush but service was fast. I think it took longer for me to decide what I wanted than it did for them to bring the food to the table. It was delicious! Highly recommend and plan to return if I'm ever back in town.

The food is excellent. Service is done with a smile and they do a great job answering your questions. Substitutions are usually allowed. Refills of chips and sauce are done quickly. Great price for this wonderful value.

The food here is amazing, the servers so polite and friendly! The fact you also get cheese dip with your salsa without asking-that’s just wonderful & so rare! Their chicken jalapeño cream cheese enchiladas were to die for!! I wanted to stay & eat more, but couldn’t fit anymore in, ha! Would definitely go back! I wanted to try their delicious looking desserts, definitely next time! And their Horchata drink was so delicious as well! Just a wonderful place to eat, for sure! Wish I took pics of the delicious food, but I automatically dived right in, ha! Sorry, ha!

This place is always packed. The atmosphere is loud due to the business of the restaurant however they are quick with the service and do quite well with all the customers they have. I've only eaten in once though and mostly do take out

I am not a huge Mexican food lover, but never hesitate to eat here when it is suggested. Food is fresh and portion size is large. Staff is friendly but not intrusive.

We got the okra enchilada. It was really good. I recommend sharing if you’re not overly hungry. It’s very large in size. We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures of the food. Is taco is all it’s left. The kids menu has Fridays ice cream on it so we got it for kids. Atmosphere was nice too.

A little snafu with my carry out order. But true to form the staff corrected the issue and compensated me more than necessary! Sweet and apologetic. Great customer service by the always friendly staff. New drive thru has some kinks to work out but the new patio looks wonderful. AND the food was fabulous as usual. Always fresh and prepared perfectly. Thank you again Missy and staff for all you did to make my take home meal perfect.

Great place to eat. Great atmosphere and kind of a small town everyone helps each other vibe. Just makes you feel like maybe there's still a little hope that people can get along in these trying times.

Great place to eat lots of options offered. The service was very helpful and available. I took leftovers from the meal, so plenty of delicious food.

I ❤ this restaurant. Authentic Mexican food & the wait time is neve long even at its busiest. Theres ALOT of parking and a drive thru . The restaurant building itself looks great since they remodeled & the food is delicious.

We've been eating here for years! The food is always delicious! The menu is very extensive! Side note, not many people realize that they also offer a delicious breakfast menu on the weekends!

First time here and the food is incredible. Hubby ordered the fajitas and I ordered the beef chimichanga with cheese dip on top. Delicious and wonderful staff.

Only reason atmosphere got a 4/5 is because a truck ran through the front of the restaurant while I was there scarring alot of people...but they boarded over the broken glass and went on with business-and most importantly, no one was hurt in the incident.. I would definitely return to El Potro.

I’ve tried a handful of different menu items but keep coming back to the fried tacos.

We’ve never had more than 5 minutes at a table without seeing a server. The food and service is next level.

I haven't dined here since 2019. I Decided to get take out and they packed everything beautifully. I wasn't expecting chips and salsa too, but three bags and containers were added to my bag, what a lovely surprise.

Enchilada Las Gloria's was fantastic! Everything was delicious. I'll definitely be ordering more takeout food in the near future.
