We wanted breakfast but the only place open was Boots Bar and Grill. We settled for lunch. I loved that they had a cute patio where Cachito could be. It was a little cold but the patio was tucked away which was perfect to hide from the wind. We shared the pesto chicken sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich. They were both really good

My family’s favorite meal we ate while in Medora! So many unique and interesting menu items, we had a hard time deciding what to order! The food and drinks were both delicious! We got the pretzel sticks appetizer (loved all the different dipping sauces), brussel sprout tacos, spicy chicken sandwich, white buffalo chicken sandwich, and brownie. All were excellent! I ordered the Montana Mule, a fresh tasty take on the Moscow Mule. We finished the night off with several rounds of pool. So fun!

Love the fries here!
We did the White Buffalo Chicken Sandwich...very good with a horseradish sauce...and the pulled pork sandwich...a bit greasy, and nothing spectacular...but not horrible (sorry, from the south- so no exceptions with BBQ!)
Upstairs and outside dining also available here

Passing through Medora and staying overnight, so we stopped in to order burgers to go and enjoy a few draft beers. Really nice spacious western style restaurant and bar. Very attentive service and good burgers and onion rings. The local draft beers were also excellent. We will definitely stop in again!

We stopped for dinner at Boots Bar & Grill on our way out of the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It is conveniently located between the park exit and I-94 East.
The service was top notch, and the food was excellent. You should add this to your short list of restaurants if you plan to stay in the national park relatively late - or possibly leave for a bite before returning for more fun.

Service was good but we did have to return 2 of 3 burgers for underdone [safe to eat but not how requested] but my fish basket was amazing. Super crunchy but the fish was nice and not over cooked. We started with southwest egg rolls and onion rings which were both great.

Great service! Loved the local beer options - for example, Wibaux Gold. Food was tasty, we are already back for our second visit. We walked from Red Trail campground. Very convenient!
Update:
The BBQ sauce is amazing! Also loved the garlic aioli. We got a 4-pack of the delicious local beer to go.

Good cold beer.
Big restaurant with lots of seating.
The french fries had some really good seasoning on them.

Great choice for lunch sandwiches! Server suggested The Killdeer with fries and it was excellent. Only took about 8 minutes to get our food. Try this place out, you won't be disappointed.

A friend recommended this place to me when I was visiting Madora. I wanted a bison burger and he assured me they had one of the best. It did not disappoint. It was my first bison burger. I found it juicy, not dry as expected, and very flavorful, definitely different from beef. The sweet potato waffle fries were excellent and the service was too.

Good ol’ saloon bar and diner serving excellent food and draft beers. Deservedly popular and ideally located for excursions in the neighbouring Theodore Roosevelt NP South Unit. Friendly, efficient service and good value.

We were staying in town at the Rough Riders Hotel. We got into town kinda late and ask what was open to eat and were referred to the Boots Bar & Grill. Lets just say it was Wonderful!! I had no idea what chokecherry pepper jelly was, but knew that I liked fruit with pork, so I had to try the Grilled Pork Chop with this crazy jelly... The two went together perfect!! I wasn't too crazy about the blanched brussels sprouts, but I had plenty to eat. My wife got the Fish Basket, I sampled it and it was great too!!
On our second night in town... we were running late again, even later than the night before and ends up this was the only place open. NO regrets!! This time I just had to try the Bourbon BBQ Burger and my wife got the Killdeer sandwich. Both where very delicious!!
We were stuffed both nights!! I don't know if we will ever be back in this area, but if we are... we know where to eat!!
Service was great both nights. The town drunk was a little loud on the first night, but didn't bother us since they were across the room. I met the manager briefly while purchasing a bumper sticker from their souvenir case. He seemed very nice and was eager to help.
We Highly recommend stopping in here for a great meal and cold drink!!

First and foremost I want to thank all of my 55K foodie's that read my reviews.
I ordered a pineapple and Canadian bacon pizza.
It was absolutely delicious.
Then the Bison burger and fries.
Both were delicious and I would definitely go back to this establishment.
Definitely a popular spot with the locals

We sat on the outside patio, 2nd floor, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The brussel sprouts were amazing, as well as the burgers. We even saw horses atop the nearby hill.

We all enjoyed our food and service. The atmosphere was cool too! The spicy fries for an appetizer was my favorite! Very limited for someone eating gluten-free. If this review helps you, please give us a thumbs up! #crazykleinadventure

The food is excellent (ribeye, elk burger and gumbo) and the beer is good and local and the pineapple vodka martini is delicious!!! Plus all of the staff are super nice and very fun!!!
We went to Little Missouri after we had a drink here and they were so understaffed and very noisy! We came back here to eat and so glad we did!
