Cowboy Cafe

My family stopped here for lunch on the way to the national park. An unassuming restaurant on the outside, but probably one of the best meals we had while in North Dakota! I got the chicken sandwich and it was excellent. My sister said the sweet potato fries were the best she had ever had! Nice, family-owned place.

Great food. Madison was a wonderful waitress. Cash only. Shared a table with 2 couples from ND. Great conversations about our travels.

Quaint, very busy cafe. We had breakfast there. Good service, great food and reasonably priced.

Nice cafe in town, madie our server did a good job. Buffalo burger for hubby and I had a bean burger…both had sweet potato firs and cole slaw. Strawberry rhubarb pie and coffee for dessert. Very fun and interesting cowboy pictures on walls.

A "must stop" for your Medora experience. Great food. It's the kind of place your are looking for. Trust me I've eaten many times here. Always what you expect... Delicious, home cooked.

If you are passing through Medora, this is a must stop for breakfast or lunch! We ended up going three times during our visit, it was so good. My personal favorite was the eggs, hash browns, and toast. The service was great and the owner was so kind and friendly! Highly recommend if in the area.

Was planning to go to another cafe in town and they were closed so I ended up at Cowboy Café. My Belgium waffle breakfast was amazing and the service was quick, very polite and helpful for questions about Theodore Roosevelt national park.

Busy place but was seated as soon as a table left. Fast service and great home-cooked food. Best vegetable soup and cheeseburgers. Enjoyed seeing pictures on the wall of our grandfather and family friends from the area. Wish they were open for dinner.

Food was fantastic! Staff were respectful and responded to all our needs. This is a Medora favorite.

Great hamburger and fries at an owner run small restaurant. Pictures of famous rodeo cowboys on the walls and cowboy homestyle decor. Perhaps a little dated, but we liked it.

Food was great! Got the homemade black bean burger. Comes with good sauce. And the rhubarb kutchen wish I’d got the pie instead. Owners were very kind and spoke with them for a while. It is cash only so be prepared!

Very few places left open in off season, but went here for breakfast this morning. Loved it! Really sweet waitress. Very quaint and charming restaurant. Food was delicious and my eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. Good coffee. Word to the wise, can’t pay with credit card, cash only.

Fastest place to eat in Medora. Food is pretty classic for a diner and is definitely affordable. Would definitely visit again if I ever return to Medora.

This is a Ma and Pa restaurant. It was small town quaint not fancy at all. Went for breakfast had pancakes and french toast. Portion was great.

Good food, good coffee, friendly and efficient staff. Be aware that they are only open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Also they do not accept debit or credit cards.

This cafe was awesome! Our group came for breakfast and our waitress was very friendly. The food arrived quickly even though it was busy! My eggs were perfect and the hash browns crispy. Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries were amazing! They had huge caramel rolls and homemade pie to offer, but we were already full. Definitely be coming here again when we're in Medora.
