Tenderloin Grill

So I had see an ad on FB for Tenderloin Grill. It was for their Philly Cheese Steak and the picture actually motivated me to get up and go get one!!!! I live downtown and a friend and I headed down there, and got there at 4:35pm (they close at 5pm) on a Thursday afternoon. The only T.G. employee there was a nice guy named Ernie, who looked like he had had a really long day and was wiped out, close to the end of his day. He took my friend's order for a tenderloin sandwich. Then, he told us that all he had left the place were tenderloins and fries...NO PHILLY CHEESE SANDWICHES 👀👀
I literally was devastated and ordered the only choice I had available...Ernie felt really bad for me. He threw in a couple of chocolate chip cookies and gave me a couple of passes to come back. I appreciate that. The tenderloin sandwich was a definite and solid 8.5 and I will be going back to get that daggone Philly Cheese that I can't get out my head...

Super friendly and helpful staff with fast service. I had the double tender sandwich and it was excellent with the truffle fries which were also very tasty. They have a "pig snoot sandwich" and it's exactly what it says it is. I wasn't brave enough to try it. For hard core tenderloin purists the tenderloin has more of a crispy tempura type batter/breading that is very light and tasty. A little different than most traditional tenderloins but a welcome surprise. Stop in and give them a try, and if you are brave enough get the snoot sandwich.

The people making the food and the man at the counter was very nice! I had onion rings and a very tasty cheeseburger! It wasn’t even 5 minutes and the cheeseburger was gone! Very good! You can tell that this place puts a lot of joy and passion in their food!

Bonus: Saw a very chill pigeon hanging out around the building. Very friendly.

If you are interested in a fantastic tenderloin sandwich, this is the place to go. If you go at lunch time your going to wait in line unless you get there early. They also have adult beverages and a friendly staff. If you are in the area, don't pass this up. Don't forget the crab fries!

Visited here on a Saturday for KC Restaurant Week lunch which happened to be my first time getting a chance to try the food here! We always walk through all of the shops here in River Market but had not gotten a chance to try a tenderloin or anything else here.

The two younger gentleman working here were super friendly and did a great job for us. The menu seems to be pretty simple but has a few options you don't typically see - a burger and tenderloin put on the same bun; and pig snoot. We settled for the original tenderloin and fries for both of our meals. It was cooked pretty fast and when it arrived in its paper bag, we could not wait to dive in. The fries are seriously some of the best I have ever had. They are such a perfect balance of tender and crispy! The tenderloin was smaller than you would expect but considering the toppings I picked, I though the sandwich was full of flavor. It is not the best tenderloin I've had, nor the biggest, but I would happily get this again given the chance.

Overall, I had high expectations for this place and for the most part, these expectations were met. I can't wait to come back and get more fries and try more of their menu!

Incredible tenderloin. Highly suggest getting it “classic” style. Unbelievable that this place isn’t packed every second they’re open. It’s pretty inexpensive for the quality of the food. Oh also the best tasting hot sauce in the city!

The staff especially Josh was very friendly. Place was very clean and the food was excellent. Keep up the good work. We will definitely be back.

I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time, and now they are at their new location in the city market. It makes it very convenient, I stopped in and had their classic pork tenderloin sandwich with all the toppings, and it was amazing! I will give, it a try again and try more of the other options, including the pig snout.

This place is amazing. Possibly THE BEST burgers in town. A nice huge juicy burger with cheese, onion, pickle, horseradish sauce and their special hot sauce (no tomato for me). It was perfection! The tenderloin was a tasty option also. But in the end...I will never pass up the burger.

What a great little dive! Apples to apples the best tenderloin I've had. Freshly cooked and piping hot. Long line and a bunch of happy people. Well done gang!

Love this place! Everyone is really friendly. The food is priced well & tastes great!

We really enjoyed our lunch. The burnt ends were extremely awesome, as was the pulled pork. The dessert of carrot cake was uniquely delicious. It was warm and hit the spot. Arrived at 11:15 for our lunch, and we were seated immediately. Great atmosphere and delightful service!

This is the real deal tenderloin joint for people who know tenderloins. These aren't those huge hubcap size, no meat, frozen jobs. Single is sufficient for most appetites but I'll probably go double next time. Best fresh cut french fries you'll find. Well done!!!

Hands-down barn and the best sandwich I’ve ever had. It was enough for two but it tasted so good I ate it all in one meal. The french fries are cut thin and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back.

Best burger ever. Even after new ownership I'm happy to see Nancy (heir to Richard Herrera) is still making the sauce.

This was our second trip here and they do a fabulous job all around.
I believe the guy was working by himself yesterday but he was able to get the orders filled in a very timely many.
These tenderloin sandwiches are amazing, 1 is enough for 2 people or 2 meals.

Great place! Try it once and you will crave it the next time! I got the pig snoot. If you are not used to the sight, close your eyes and bite into it, it will taste like pot roast meat perfectly cook and melts in your mouth!

Love it!!!! The place is nice and quiet. Relaxing!!! The food is good and smells just as good as it tastes. Will definitely come back.

Fast and friendly service. Love the tenderger, something I could never get anywhere else! Especially with a nice cold beer!

We had a wonderful lunch the other day. Our burgers and fries were on point and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be back.
