O’Dowd’s Gastrobar

When I’m in Kansas, my friends and I love to meet up at this bar. On the first floor, you can dance to the DJ’s beats, and on the second, enjoy the fresh air and a fire. And all of this is best enjoyed in good company!!!

Live piano last night was AMAZING! I believe his name was Will O’Kees??? He took requests, engaged with the audience and was excellent. I tried to stump him multiple times but he was on his game! I will be back again to see him!!! New Thursday tradition maybe?!

My favorite bar in Kansas City ! Fish and chips is the best in town and all the staff is hard working and make the environment fun. The GM Tony was very engaged with customers and very attentive. And the live music they bring in everyone is amazing ! Would recommend to anyone

I joined my family on Saturday and went to the Plaza (my first time) After much shopping we had worked up an appetite, and decided to try O'Dowds. We chose to eat upstairs on the patio, and was pleasantly surprised. There was live music, the weather was perfect and the atmosphere was amazing. We started with Nachos and let me tell ya, absolutely devine! The presentation alone was mesmerizing. Their food was delicious. Our server, Kylie was kind, funny and a delight to talk to. We will definitely return.

5 stars for the bartender with the pink hair. She is amazing. Makes drinks to perfection! Attentive, honest, and down to earth.

Ordered the tequitos. They were good. Crispy and warm. Chipotle cream was a bit much, and the slaw was not it.

We joined friends for a couple of drinks. The service was great. In the afternoon, it's a nice place with enough space to allow for great conversation. 👍

Meghan was a wonderful server!! She was very efficient with getting our drinks and super personable! Definitely will visit again!!

We stopped off early afternoon. Were very happy to be able to have our favorite Irish imports of Guinness and Magners. Very warm and comfortable space.

I loved O’Dowds when I was visiting KC. My favorite place. I haven’t been there for about 6 years but tell everyone about it. Love that place. Good food and drinks. Took home glasses and shot glasses. I look forward to just dropping in Mc just to go to O’Dowds.

Great laid back cozy atmosphere. Has a fireplace, cocktails are on point, friendly staff, in a great location. They stay open til 3am, so if you like something that stays open late this is a good spot to go!

I went to hear some local DJs perform, the rooftop atmosphere was great the music was fantastic. The whole evening was a blast. I heard someone say that every Friday night is like that. I can't wait to go back. The only thing I think might improve the night was the volume of the music, when the music is that great you want to hear it loud. 😂😄

It's always a great spot to drop by on a day at the plaza. We usually just drop in for a drink and sit for a bit. Staff is always friendly and checks up on customers often enough without being pushy. We like the atmosphere and location.

Incredible atmosphere. The food is superb. The rooftop patio is a must if you want to v i b e into the night. It’s so nice having a spot like this on the plaza. I appreciate the staff for always taking great care of us. They have that good good (soap) that smells like strawberry bubble gum.

If you go on a Friday or Saturday you might even be lucky enough to catch some lively parties on the rooftop. Plus who doesn’t love a little fire island on a rooftop?

Nicest waitress with dark hair and thin and tall young lady i think her name was kayla. Food was great she suggested the happy hour 1/2 size nacho and it was more then enough and tasted .really good. And wing were bussin to. Margurita was delish.

The waitress Meghan was so friendly and accommodating! Great service and great food!!

Music was a little loud downstairs for my taste but it still made for a lovely night catching up with friends. I do wish they had more unique house drinks but the drinks we had were good!
