Silver Dollar is everything you could ever want in a good old style river saloon. Beer, booze, burger grill, bar food, super frosty glasses, games, country music, dancing, and great hospitality. Friendly to upstanding cowboys, horsemen, bikers, and especially dancers of all stripes. Their claim to the best burger in town is hard to argue with. Give this one 5-stars for feel good fun and a great owner!!!!

Delicious deep fried and lightly breaded all you can eat Haddock, fresh homemade Coleslaw, and fries or potato salad, sliced bread. All for $12.50. Steve is friendly and runs a nice neighborhood style bar. Pint cans of your favorite beers to choose from.

Super friendly folks who were kind enough to get the fryers going for us later on a Friday night when no one was open for food. Food was good and fresh. Definitely hit the spot. Well maintained place that you can tell they've put some time and care into fixing up. Great small town dive atmosphere.

In town to see the Hole in the Sock Gang, we stopped for food. The owner was very friendly. The main street is being redone, and it is affecting all the businesses. Try to support them.

Visited twice so far. Burgers, strips, and side all cooked almost perfect. Nothing was over fried or cooked. Fries, breaded mushrooms, cheese balls were all golden. Price was very reasonable. My favorite place in this area.

Super friendly, clean, and well maintained. Basically a typical small town tavern with a beer selection to match, but you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his establishment and provided fantastic and friendly service. We had the Sunday ribeye special which was tasty and a great bargain.

My husband and I had never been to Steve's, but decided to give it shot while driving through McGregor. There was a $5 cover because of the live music, The Memory Brother's. We went ahead and paid it and were glad we did. The place was clean, the waitress was so nice, and we had great burgers! Small menu with typical bar food, but it was really good, and service was fast!! We will definitely go back to Steve's!

STEVES SILVER DOLLAR TAVERN is a place to get some food and very cool. and STEVE brings in bands as much as possible. This Saturday Oct 16, one of the best band in Iowa will be bringing old western music starting, 6 to 10. Great place to dance. ENTER AS A STRANGER, LEAVE AS A FRIEND.
