Schultz Strings

My son is in middle school and we have rented his violin through Schultz strings for the past two years. We’ve been in a multiple times to get strings replaced and they are always quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. I’m very happy we decided to rent through them.

We so enjoy the Schultz Strings shop. We have 2 youth violin players and this shop is always able to help us with all our needs. The staff is always ready to take the time to make sure we have all our questions answered. I'd highly recommend if you are just getting started or have played for a long time.

I am a high school orchestra director in the Quad Cities and I love this string shop. The quality of the instruments is amazing, but beyond that they also have amazing customer service, knowledgeable staff, and a wonderful rental/trade in-policy. Due to this, I cannot recommend this shop enough to families looking to start renting and investing in their child’s music education.

As a music teacher, when my own daughter started playing an instrument I started comparing shops for their instrument quality and also their rental/trade-in policies, and I found Schultz to be the best that I could find. My daughter has been playing viola for 5 years and violin for 1 year and all of her instruments have been from this shop. They have all been amazing in quality, and I look forward to working with this shop for many years to come.

This is a wonderful shop with a great selection of instruments. John is very helpful, as are all of his staff. Highly recommend!

Robbie Gearhart was an amazing guitar/bass teacher. He helped me with music for Jazz Band and gave me meaningful and supportive feedback. It's obvious he really cares about his students and the people he works with. If you're gonna sign up for guitar lessons, it'd better be here.

I took my daughter's bass to get the bridge adjusted at Schultz Strings. Even though we bought it elsewhere they were personable and very helpful. John is knowledgeable and skilled. We had a very positive customer experience. Highly recommend.

My child started lessons here not too long ago. I’m pretty impressed with how quickly she’s learning. She loves her instructor and has nothing but good things to say about her experience so far. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is a high quality, professional staff who have treated our family so well. The owner, John, is my daughter's violin teacher and has been absolutely fantastic with her. I highly recommend the teachers here for all ages and ability levels. The store has quite an extensive string instrument inventory as well as excellent string instrument repair. They have an affordable instrument rental program that can also act as credit of up to 50% of an instrument purchase.

John was great!!! He made upgrading my daughter's violin a great experience for her. He was very patient and taught her what she should be looking for when buying an instrument.

The staff is fantastic and accommodating! Love this place and they have a plethora of string options. They get to know their kids and talk with them... Not many do that today. Very nice people!

This is a phenomenal string shop with the best rental program that allows all of your rental money to go towards your future purchase of an instrument. They have quick and excellent customer service. They are excellent at string repairs, and they have reasonable prices. I am a private violin and viola teacher and I will always recommend that my students rent and purchase from Schultz Strings.
