Marion Music Academy

We have been so thrilled with Marion Music Academy! Three of our kids attend lessons there, two of them taking violin and piano for about a year and a half, and one just starting cello. They enjoy their lessons so much and are improving each week! We love going to their recitals. Paige in the office is so friendly and helpful with any questions we might have. We recommend Marion Music Academy to anyone looking for music lessons!

We love Marion Music Academy! My daughter takes Cello lessons with Kelly Vieth. She is patient, kind, encouraging, and so much fun! I often sit in my car during lessons(though I know I don’t have to) catching up on emails, and work. The whole staff is so kind and wonderful, I can trust her to go in to her lesson on her own and I know she’s in safe hands. It’s been a wonderful experience all around.

I started going to MMA in 2019. As an older student, I was concerned about whether I would be able to learn how to play a new instrument. However, my teacher, Dr. Gabrielle Harvey quickly assured me that I could. She is extremely qualified and has been (still is) very knowledgeable, encouraging, engaging, attentive, and accommodating. In addition, Paige, the manager, has been very helpful, kind, patient, and accommodating with scheduling, as well as keeping me updated on various events.

We are very happy with our choice to use Marion Music Academy for clarinet lessons for our daughter. The instructor is excellent. The office manager is very helpful. Highly recommend!

We have nothing but positive things to say about our experiences at Marion Music Academy! We’ve had 2 kids in piano lessons and 1 in vocal lessons and have had wonderful teachers for all and everyone on staff has always been so kind and accommodating working around our crazy schedules when needed.

My two kids have taken piano lessons here since 2012 and three years ago, when my daughter was in 6th grade, she started taking violin lessons for her orchestra class. The teachers here are very professional and dedicated who have always encouraged my kids to practice and play well. I'd highly recommend this music academy to parents out there.

Our daughter just started taking piano lessons a little over a month ago and she loves it! Katie is a very patient teacher with our daughter. We’ve had a piano since the beginning of the pandemic but were unable to take lessons for far too long, and in person lessons are so much better for our daughter!

My daughter has started taking lessons at the Marion Music Academy and absolutely loves it! Her teacher is amazing and is incredible when working with her. She is patient, kind, and encouraging. My daughter is being challenged with the violin music that is assigned as well as practice techniques that help her perfect her playing each week. I am so glad that we chose this location for lessons.

Our 9 year old son has been attending Marion Music Academy for 3 years and absolutely loves it. He is now able to play at church and is feeling confident enough to want to compose his own music. We really love to watch and listen to him play. The teachers especially Melanie and Katie are the best... highly recommend this music school.

My daughter loves the singing lessons that she receives. I love that they offer classes online. It has been so helpful during the pandemic. The lessons that my daughter has received have not only helped her in developing her voice, but has boosted her self-confidence as well.

My Daughter (8) takes piano lessons at the Academy. She started just before the Covid crisis. As everything was shutting down, the staff at the Academy planned the continuation of the lessons online, and their communication was excellent. My daughter was blessed to continue her new passion through the whole crisis, thanks to her Teacher Brittany and the wonderful professional staff at the Academy.

I have been taking my son to the Marion Music Academy since December 2019, in that short time he has learned so much! The teacher's there are great and there is a nice waiting area for parents! Only thing that I would eventually like to see is longer practice times but I think that can change the longer they are there.

My son has been taking piano lessons there for almost 6 years and I love to hear him play. I rarely have to assist him with learning a song between his lessons anymore. He can play by memory now as well. The kindness and patience of the staff is top notch. There are no dull moments at Marion Music Academy. You get music bucks after every lesson that you get to spend on cool prizes, there's friendly team competitions in the summer, there's opportunities to showcase your talent on stage and so much more. The best part for my family during COVID-19 is having the option to do virtual lessons. Marion Music Academy is very accommodating to your family's needs and schedule. Give Marion Music Academy a chance. You won't regret it.

We love coming here! My girls have been going here for almost a year now and are getting better and better. They especially loved getting a medal to celebrate their progress so far. Fun and relaxing recital too that was perfect for first year pianists!

Our child has made great progress with her instructor and MMA provides performance opportunities outside of school and lessons. For additional incentive students can also earn Music Bucks to save up for fun rewards.

Parking is limited, and entry and exit can be tight due to the narrow access. There are stairs that must be climbed to access the building from the parking lot.

We have enjoyed our experience at the Academy. My daughter was trying to learn piano and tried the Suzuki method with Melanie with good success. Melanie has helped her learn in the way THAYS good for her. We love it!

My daughter started lessons this year and immediately loved her teacher. During this quarantine, Wrenley and her teacher work through the technical difficulties that come with virtual lessons. Even with the kinks, both stay connected and my daughter is on track with her lessons book. Highly recommend. Great activity, especially when stuck at home.

My daughter has been taking voice lessons through Marion Music Academy with Marie and loves it. Marie has helped develop her skills and challenges her. My daughter looks forward to her lessons every week.
