Not your typical used car dealer. Tim is a man of his word. We traveled 120 miles to look at one of his cars. He met us on a Saturday morning and took the time to show us the vehicle of choice. He didn't waste our time. Deal was made, paperwork was quick and easy, and we were on our way.
After the sale, we had a couple of issues and Tim didn't hesitate. He offer to take care of them in a timely manner. We couldn't be happier. We'll be back again.

Bought a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe with 98k miles.
Considering it's age, it was very clean inside and out.
There were s few things like worn out inside door handle and stuck gas cap lever. They offered to search for parts to replace the inside door panel and replace the stuck gas lever. So far, no luck on finding a good door panel, but the search continues! And Tim Scott is taking care of the gas lever as a courtesy!
It's well worth the drive out to Springville, you won't be disappointed.
A local mechanic recently told me that for the age and mileage, it was "a fine specimen of a car".

Got my first car at Scott Family Motors and I highly recommend giving them a chance if you need a car. Travelled from the west coast all the way out to Iowa because close family of mine recommended it and I’m glad I did! Originally I thought it was a bad idea considering the distance, but after some research and prayer I decided to go for it. Test drove a Mazda they had and it was perfect! Exactly the kind of car I wanted, very fair price, and with only a little over 120 thousand miles, I took it as my sign to get that car. I was able to take it home the next day and I’m grateful for the impeccable service of the gentleman that helped get my car set for the long trip home. I needed a car that travelled well and Scott Family Motors had just what I needed.

We've had the 2007 Mazda 3 for about 3 months now. Its been a fun zippy thing for my son and has held up to road trips for bball tournies as far as MO and repeated trips to the DesMoines area from Cedar Rapids. Customer Service was great and we even got a follow up call to see how things were going! A lot to be said for small town auto dealers, especially for a first time car for your kiddo. We had a fantastic experience buying our 2014 Jeep Patriot. It was far better of a car shopping experience than I ever knew existed. Tim went above and beyond after the sale including offering $200 towards a new radio, since the factory stereo was having problems. The 30 day warranty is a blessing. Tim is strong in his Christian Faith and it shows in his treatment of customers. (Romans 10:9)

Zero pressure sales. That's the 1st thing we liked. Older vehicles with lower mileage. That's the 2nd thing we liked. Christian and proud of it. We loved that.
We bought a vehicle through Scott's Family Motors for our teenage son. The 1st night we had it, it broke down on us. We were able to limp it home. I emailed Scott that evening to let him know. He immediately emailed me back and said he would pick up the vehicle in the morning and see what was going on with it. Most dealerships will send the rookie to come pick it up. The owner, Scott, came out and picked it up himself. Turns out it was a problem no one could have predicted. They fixed it completely free of charge and brought it back to us that evening. Told us to drive it for a few days and make a decision if we still wanted to go through purchasing the vehicle or not. Said if we chose not to, he would completely understand.
We took it to our mechanic, who went through it. Told us the rear shocks were going and the rear tires were choppy because of it. But otherwise it is a very solid car. They actually asked where we got it because they couldn't believe how good of condition the car was in and how low the miles are for being an older vehicle. I emailed Scott again and let him know what the mechanic found. Scott fixed the shocks AND replaced all 4 tires FOR FREE. Who does that?? Even offered us a loaner vehicle until the repairs were finished. Needlessly to say, we went through with buying the vehicle and have been happy ever since.
So far I have recommended Scott Family Motors to our mechanic, the lady who finalized the loan for our vehicle and to our family and friends.

I’d give 10 stars if that was a thing.

We searched for months for a first car for our daughter. We checked Craigslist, local dealerships, Facebook, everywhere. There were too many unknowns, too many shady sellers and quite honestly not one single dealership willing to stand behind their cars since we weren’t buying new. That is, until we stumbled across Scott Family Motors and I met Tim. I knew right then that we had found a unicorn dealership. We didn’t end up buying the original car that we went there to buy. Tim wasn’t pushy, upset or impatient. I told him we were really waiting for the “One”. We bought it today. Through the whole process he hasn’t given me one line of BS. He’s been straight up, answered every question I had and done it all with patience, understanding and a lot grace for 2 parents buying their daughter her first car. It’s a big deal and he understood that. You can tell that he puts ALOT of time running his business with integrity. One that puts his customers first whether that be in hand picking the cars on the lot, answering questions of 2 incredibly nervous parents or the warranties he sends with his cars. His business is untouchable. We are so blessed we found them. THANK YOU Scott Family Motors. We’re grateful there’s still people like you out there. It doesn’t go unnoticed. We needed a new minivan, and we found one that looked promising on the Scott Family Motors website. We made an appointment for a test drive, and the van seemed good for the price, so we decided to buy it that day. Tim Scott was nice and helpful. There were a couple things that wound up needing to be fixed soon after we got the van. Tim honored his warranty and fixed the issues extremely affordably. Since then we haven't had any issues. Based on our experience, I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for an affordable used car check out Scott Family Motors.

We are repeat customers. We bought a Blazer from him back in 2017 and drove it for 3 yrs before upgrading. Everytime we've looked for a car, we always check his lot 1st. Just so happens that this week I was looking for a reliable car for my last kid and he had exactly what we were looking for in our price range. We drove it and it so happened there was a leak when we popped the hood back at the dealership and he said "no problem, it will be fixed tomorrow, I won't sell you something with an issue!" He called the next morning, said it was fixed and to come take another look. We did and we bought it! He warranties all his sales and all his work! I will be coming back in the future if I'm looking again!!

Bought a Toyota Corolla from Scott Family Motors a couple months ago, and so far the vehicle has been great, even my mechanic was impressed with how good a shape the car was in when I got an oil change. Tim was also real easy to work with, and offered to help us if we needed anything. If someone I know is looking for a car, I'd definitely recommend Scott's as somewhere they should check out.

I was looking for a commuter vehicle for work when I saw Scott Family Motors had a 2016 Nissan Rogue for sale. I scheduled a test drive for said vehicle, and another on their lot. I contacted them a week after my initial visit ready to purchase, after searching and weighing my options.
Tim and his staff were very easy to work with and made the process very quick and easy, without being pushy or trying to upsell. I was in and out in about 20 minutes for the actual purchase of the vehicle. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again in the future.

Selling used cars is not the easiest job because you can only grantee the vehicle while it’s sitting on the lot. Once you pull away it’s out of his control BUT he will make it right when something happens!! He will help you on the side of the road when you run out of gas but you think the car is broke haha! He is a great man and has a great team! His team went the extra mile to run tests on our vehicle to be sure all the gauges were working properly even though we realized after the fact it was just low on gas!
