Lemon Grass

Wow! What a great find! We had the Seafood Soup and the Triple Delight. Both were amazing—the best we’ve had. Bravo, Lemon Grass!

Amazed how good the food was. We had been wanting to eat here, but found out it was closed on Saturdays. We finally were able to schedule a Friday night, and it was well worth it. Charming and quaint.. wonderful service and delicious dishes!

My wife & I love Lemon Grass! We are more than willing to make the drive from Des Moines to Adel - its that good. We've tried a wide variety of their menu's offering, and never been disappointed.

The menu is not your normal china cafe, I had seafood and asparagus stir fry. It had shrimp, crab, mussels and lots of apsara grassWonderfully tasty and they ask at what he level you want you food. I took a one not used to very hot food.. The brown rice underneath with the sauce was delightfully different from every other place. The service was super fast and explain things well, great service, good pricing.

What a gem in a small town! I hope they do well here. The owner was working and he was very nice and talked a bit about his business and how they procure the ingredients. All seemed very authentic, and was very tasty. Someone commented that the prices were high, but I certainly didn't think so. It's more than fast food, but certainly in line with what you'd expect at a restaurant like this. We did eat inside, and the seating was very limited, but nice ambiance. Wouldn't hesitate to return when we're in the area!

Lemon Grass not only has some absolutely delicious food and perfect service, but they were SUPER accommodating! We showed up with a group of almost 30 people, after attending a military burial service, and they stated they normally take reservations for groups of five or more, but graciously put tables together and basically let us take over their restaurant while we dined for at least a couple hours. The staff never once made us feel unwelcome nor did they rush us through our meal. The entire experience was extremely pleasant and we highly recommend Lemon Grass. Great food, great service and extremely accommodating; thank you, thank you!

Stopped in and had no clue what to order. But they explained everything to me and it was all excellent. Staff was very pleasant and helpful and ordered 5 meals and two apps. Food was fresh and authentic and they had it ready in 10 minutes. Thank you and will be back. Support local. 5 spicy Asparagus Seafood was the bomb.

Dine-In is now available. I tried to "suggest an edit" to google, but there isn't an option to suggest adding dine-in. I picked up Pad Thai (which was delicious, btw), and I saw they had silverware on the table. Verified verbally that they now have Dine-In as an option. Next time we'll eat there! Great food all around!

Went there for our Anniversary. I got something different (other than pad thai), and it was amazingly delicious!. Happy to have such consistently great food in Adel!

The pad Thai was yummy. I wasn’t expecting that from such a small town spot serving Thai food. ❤ It was a good lunch.

Amazing food, server lacked a little menu knowledge, love that Chad the owner cooked our food and cashed us out. Love that you can choose spicy levels 1-5 on anything. Did 2 stars on pineapple fried rice, not spicy! Will definitely be back, everything tasted great AND THEY HAVE BEER!!! woot woot

I was thrilled to "rediscover" Lemon Grass in Adel. Though it is more difficult to dine at Lemon Grass with the Monday-Friday hours (closed on weekends), the challenge makes the reward even better. Lemon Grass offers the best Thai I've found locally, particularly the panang and the fresh spring rolls. And the service is unbeatable. It's worth the drive away from the city to enjoy the flavors and the ambiance of this little gem.

A cozy and warm environment. The food was flavorful and fulfilling. Incredibly aromatic. If you like spicy food, you shall not be disappointed. Conversely, they are very considerate of those with a more conservative approach to their spice. Enjoy!

SOOOOO Good! After being stuck with the "everything tastes the same" options in Waukee, I *FINALLY* talked my wife into ordering take-out from Lemongrass (stuck at home for COVID) and it was GLORIOUS! We're pretty simple but the Pad Thai and Basil Fried rice were excellent and well priced. Will definitely go back!

Delicious food, great flavors! Friendly staff! Get your order right every time! Don't have to wait long for the order to be ready for pick up. 100% recommend this restaurant!

We are staying at the KOA a few miles down the road and decided to stop in for dinner. Absolutely delicious! We had the crab ragoon, egg rolls, drunken noodles with beef, chicken fried rice and teriyaki delight. All were wonderful. We ordered the chicken fried rice for the kids to split and the kitchen put it on 2 plates without us even asking. The waitresses were absolutely delightful and the 1 - 5 heat levels were what was expected (1 mild - 5 blazing spicy). Adel is so lucky to have this little gem in their town! We will take a detour when passing through Des Moines next time to stop in again!

Went out of our way to get to Lemon Grass and it was worth it. The dishes were fresh and the flavors were distinct. Great attention was paid to our preferences regarding level of heat. I highly recommend.

Have been to Lemongrass several times since it opened in Adel. Has never been anything but wonderful! Have tried a different dish each time. Tonight was the red curry chicken - so yummy!!

We visited Lemongrass numerous times when it was in Des Moines. They very recently relocated to Adel. Lemongrass was our favorite Thai restaurant. Their food is delicious. I especially like the Tom Kha Gai soup. Don't miss going there.

WOW. Just visited for first time. Chad and Celina helped me decide on the correct order. I have been state to state and always am a sucker for thai. I am extremely shocked at how authentic Lemon Grass is. Way to go guys. I will always stop here when I'm in town.

Absolutely love the food here. I'm from CA and enjoyed everything we tried. Be back next year when I'm back visiting family.
