Rustic vibe, so think cabin. Furniture made of of branches with the bark on it, lots of plaid, cute bear signs, lamp with canoes for the base. Room was clean but did have slight smell of the cleaner. Not enough to bother me but I could smell it. (Not enough to knock it down to a 4 star) Too cold to open a window for fresh air (that is if we could open it...I'm not sure.) Parking was limited due to people there with their boats in tow. Moose picture is from the lobby.

I don't leave allot of reviews but I have to say I slept so good here. Bed was super comfortable! Room was clean. I would definitely stay here again when in town!

We were driving up from southeast Iowa from a family Christmas back to our home in Wisconsin and the roads were getting completely covered with snow. We decided to find a place to stay for the night and found this lovely little hotel. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic!

We greatly enjoyed staying here. Gorgeous log cabin look on inside. Person working front desk was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was on the first floor. Both beds were comfortable and clean. Floors clean. Bathroom was nice and that shower was amazing! The breakfast wasnt too bad. Bread, french toast, and bagels available in individual baggies. boxes of cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, assorted juices. Right next door to Hardees for food it you want it. Not far from Caseys or Subway either. not much to do in the town tho unless you want to go to the bar. There is a theater in town but temporarily closed im guessing due to Covid.

I have a travel job and I have stayed in many hotels. This hotel was VERY clean which gave me peace of mind during this pandemic. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed how the room was decorated with a minimal rustic design. I would recommend this hotel if you find yourself in the area. If I return for work, I will definitely stay here again.

The staff from front desk to housekeeping were all helpful. We were so happy with our room. The breakfast room was well stocked. We stayed at 2 other hotels on our trip to Iowa and 1 on are way home and by far yours was the best experience we had!! Thank you to all for a great experience....

Terrific atmosphere! We were surprised by how nice, quaint, and tastefully decorated the hotel was. It was clean, clean, clean; the beds were comfortable; the bathroom was very tidy (show curtain rocked!). The staff was friendly and helpful. We definitely would stay here again!

We had a great evening here, couldn't be happier, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, front desk was amazing, she was so nice!! We didn't have reservations and got the last room, we left home with no destination and couldn't be happier that we landed there for the night until we moved on to the next day!! Loved the log cabin feel all around, breakfast was great, hotel was quiet and relaxing exactly what we needed!!

Excellent stay. Very nice staff that brought a cot up to us when we asked and provided every extra thing we needed. The breakfast was great. Not like other hotels, the food wasn't all the same, it actually had some quality to it. Wifi was most definitely usable, the rooms had a lot of space with a clean atmosphere for a really cheap price.

For being a small town location, it has some big city features with a "home is where the heart is" feel. I've been traveling a lot during the last 5 years, Denver, Dallas, Austin, Houston, New York City... But this is my third time working while traveling and I have to say this was by far the best place I've stayed while "working from home." 100MB wifi speeds that are comparable to that of the larger cities in the country with some friendliest decor. I mean who can't help but giggle at a sign that says "Beware of bears" over the bed. I can say though I woke up feeling very refreshed so I guess that's for those who LIKE to sleep in.

his hotel earned 5 stars because of the amazing staff. It's an awesome theme, but could use some attention to detail. We stayed during Rabgri and definitely paid a premium for our room. The breakfast was severely lacking! The front desk is extremely worn, dirty cracked, and has stain missing. The T.V. was the most confusing tv I've ever experienced in a hotel. Thankfully, though the room was clean, and one of the amazing gals from the front desk ( I believe it was either Nicole or Britney) was able to help us get our tv working. We also forgot our cellphone charger at the last hotel and they provided their own personal cell phone charge for us to use. Now that's truly amazing customer service. Also note this hotel is lacking a fitness center or a real business center.

Excellent place to stay! Our family needed a place for a few days due to our house fire and they were very accommodating! High recommendations! Nice big room! Very friendly!

First time ever staying (or even hearing about) a Boarders Hotel and there’s no doubt I’ll be doing so again in the future. From the customer service all the way down to towel arrangement - Magnificent! 👏👏👏

Great little place out in Waukon, IA. We were on a cross country trip and randomly picked this place without knowing what to expect. The staff are extremeley nice, the place is very clean, and it’s got a great set up inside. Breakfast was included, which is always a plus, and it was everything you could need. If we ever find ourselves coming back through the area, Stoney Creek is the first place on our list to stay.

My husband and I have stayed in alot of hotels and motels over the past 2 years for our fishing trips. I have to say by far, our room at boarders inn and suites is the nicest and most relaxing one yet ever!!
