Sal's Pizza & Pasta

Excellent service, the atmosphere so beautiful.
Our calzone was more than enough for two(we brought home half of it).
The soups were delicious, perfect for a cold winter day, 1) spinach and 2)lentil-barley.

Definitely we'll go back one day!

Worth a stop at this delightful restaurant! Found it on a whim and so glad we did! Appetizer of mixed antipasto was a hit...combo of hot peppers, mushrooms, olives, Italian meats, cheese! Pizza was delicious... crust was perfect as were toppings and sauce! Menu also includes grinders, pasta dishes and some entrees. Service was great... very attentive wait staff...both friendly servers kept checking on us! All around great place for a quick bite or a relaxing meal!

Sals Pizza delivered an incredible dining experience with its mouthwatering dishes served piping hot. The variety on the menu impressed, offering great options to satisfy diverse cravings. The flavors were simply amazing; each bite felt like a burst of culinary delight.
However, the service, though friendly, had a sluggish pace. Waiting for a few items felt longer than expected, and the overall efficiency could use improvement. On the beverage front, the beer selection left something to be desired, lacking in choices. Conversely, the extensive wine list provided a silver lining for those seeking a sophisticated sip.
Despite these minor hiccups, Sals Pizza offers a great overall experience. The exceptional food quality overshadows any service lag, making it a worthwhile dining destination. If you can overlook a bit of waiting time and a limited beer selection, the delicious food and extensive wine options make this establishment highly recommendable.

Out of towners, so we stopped in for take out. I enjoy the pizza with pepperoni, sausage and banana peppers. Had the garlic rolls. Enjoyed the berry cheese cake as well. Would visit again.

Homemade soups are amazing, full of protein and vegetables. Pizzas are excellent, dough, sauce and topping ratio is perfection! Meals are huge and delicious, the also have nice sandwiches and salads on the menu. Waitstaff is friendly and very efficient. Sal’s Pizza is family friendly and can accommodate large groups.

Wow! Stopped in while passing through and were knocked off our feet. Brianna, our server, was phenomenal. Meatball and chicken parm subs were delish! And huge portions were well priced. Great menu. Restaurant is very clean.

My husband and I just left our favorite place on the shoreline!! Sal's!! It was superb as always!! From the warm, smiling faces welcoming you when you come in to the beautiful, clean restaurant to the amazing and reasonably priced food that is always consistently top notch to the friendly and best service you could ever ask for!! Tonight we had amazing cream of mushroom soup with two fantastic grinders. Thank you, Sal's for being our go to!!

Today was our first visit to Sal's Pizza and Pasta in Old Saybrook. It was perfect in everyway.
The Dining Room was bright and spacious. Brianna was our Waitstaff person. She should be the "Model" for her talent in Customer Service. She was amazing.
The Food was delicious & the Portion Sizes led to the need for a take out box upon leaving.We are so looking forward to returning with other Family Members.We highly recommend this Restaurant for the quality & taste of their Food and the experience of being in a warm & welcoming environment. Come Springtime there is a lovely Patio available.

We were taking a small trip down to CT to visit the Beardsley Zoo (following Rhode Islander rules: drive more than an hour, get a hotel) and dropped in by chance to grab a bite. Oh wow.

The wait staff were incredibly friendly. My son has food allergies, and our waitress checked the bread, soup, and salad ingredients to be sure they were free from milk or egg. She was busy with a few other tables, but still was able to answer our questions and kept the drinks full.

The food itself was a treat. The salads had a nice mix of veggies, and the bread came out steaming. My son loved his chicken soup, filled with chicken and pasta. My wife's meatball sub was cooked perfectly, with a crunchy crust surrounding soft bread and tasty meatballs covered in melted cheese. My stuffed ziti was simply insane. Ziti covered in melted cheese, with a bit of ricotta underneath, served with a plate of meatballs. Plenty of garlic cooked in, as well.

We stopped by here completely at random, just looking for a quick meal. Our bill turned out to be a little over $35 for all three of us, and we all had leftovers. Quick on and off of 95, great food, great service, and great value. I can't recommend this place enough.

Excellent!!! First impressions are always key. Food was excellent!!! Coming from NY I would know!!! Waitress very friendly food was prompt and was very good!!! Penne vodka w chicken a must!!!

Waitress was fantastic on a very crowded afternoon. The stuffed filet of sole was recommended and wow. My wife had linguine with shrimp, spinach and mushrooms sauteed in olive oil and garlic. This special will feed 2 people and itself was fantastic. The stuffed sole was so moist and fresh, served on a pile of veg sauteed to perfection.

Food was fresh and tasty. Service seemed a little slow but overall had a good experience.

Excellent service , very clean and tables spaced out nicely. Will definitely return! I highly recommend!!

I love everything about Sal's Pizza ,the food is amazing however you pick pizza or pasta everything is delicious 😋

Not my first time at The Sal's Rodeo - but had to mention my recent visit. Eyed a quinoa salad in the fridge while waiting for my sangwich and thought I'd give it a try. It was damn good! Sal's also the best arancini in the area

There are so many pizza places in Old Saybrook, but this is the best one by far.

My favorite place to get pizza in this area. What makes it extra special is Brianna. Brianna did her best to make sure our dining experience was perfect. What a warm wonderful personality. Like I said pizza is fabulous but employees like this are hard to find.

Fantastic food I Highly recommend this place !!! I had the angel hair with white clam sauce Out of This World 🌎🌎 my wife had the pasta primavera sensational and the best minestrone soup I ever had !!! And the garlic bread Oh Mama Mia is well you get the picture. Thanks Sal and Staff !!

My favorite pizza place. Quality of Pizza, Service, and atmosphere.

Absolute favorite out of New York Italian restaurant. Have been going for upwards of 15 years while on trips through Connecticut.
