Very convenient/cheap spot while doing the GAP. No campsites nearby and all the other places are much more pricey B&Bs. Judy the owner just did everything over the phone and got us inside in no time. Nice kitchen, 3 separate/big bathrooms, clean linens for everyone, highly recommended!

Stopped in here while hiking the GAP. The place is very clean. I was to meet Judy at 5:45. An hour wait, but her husband drove by saw me and gave me the code to get in til she got there. The bathrooms are clean, bedding is clean. You can do your wash too. A very nice common are to chill out in. The price was right for a night. Judy was very friendly too.

Hostel features a large sitting room, large dormitory bunk room, two private bunk rooms, equipped kitchen, three complete restrooms and large back porch. Clean and a great option for small groups. We chose hostel as night was too cold for camping. Note: rail runs closeby, so earplugs can be helpful (useful in dormitory sleeping anyway).

There is not much going on in this town and the husky campground is closed. We found this gem after two days riding in the rain. The owner welcomed us. Let us use the laundry machine to wash and dry our clothes. The place is simple and has everything a traveler in a quest needs.

rolled into rockwood not knowing that the campground had closed, so we ended up staying here! judy was so nice and accommodating for a last minute stay, it was a Thursday night so thankfully not full. Bathrooms and showers were great, beds and linens are very clean and it’s in a great location. Would recommend to anybody doing the GAP !

My brother and I stayed in apartment 504 during our cycling trip. It was well equipped, clean and comfortable. We did have some confusion getting access to the unit since a sign on the door gave a phone number to call but we had no cell service. Fortunately I had recorded their email and they responded promptly to an email and gave us the access code.

Conveniently located just off of the GAP trail - excellent lodging at a low price. Comfortable beds (sheets and towels available), laundry, kitchen, hot showers, books and TV - everything that you need for the night. All in a very well restored former grocery store! 24hr access. Highly recommended for GAP hikers and bikers!

Riding the GAP trail. We'd been planning to camp the whole way, but after 44 miles in the cold rain, we needed warm and dry. The hostel was great, and we ended up having it to ourselves. Comfortable living room, kitchen with dishes and utensils, hot shower, and a decent bed. Indoor bike storage with a hose to wash things down. Couldn't have asked for much more!

After a rough cold wet day on the trail the hostel on main was what the doctor ordered. The key pad was easy to use, the place was clean, it smelled good. The sleeping arrangements were perfect. And the showers! They we're hot and with great water pressure!! The owners were very accommodating. There is places to eat within a few minutes walk. I highly recommend you stay here. I will be telling all of our customers and friends about the hostel on main.

Second year in a row staying here while riding the GAP/C&O trail. Reasonably priced with everything you need after a couple days of riding. Definitely coming back

I loved this place. I arrived very late and the Café where you get signed in was closed. Now What? Well, some guy walks over to me after I rolled past him a minute before and asks me if I would like for him to call the owner to get me signed in. Of course I said yes and thinking I would probably have to go back to the bike trail and stealth camp for the night. No more than 5 minutes goes by and this lady shows up and opens the whole place up for me and gets me registered and brings me linens and towels and lets me buy some baked snacks and a drink. Only on Main Street, Rockwood, PA, does this happen. There was another person staying here and he was really happy to show me around. He even helped me bring my bike to the basement to lock up for the night. This will always be a destination for me from now on. Very lovely people. This is just hospitality at its best. Slept great here. The sleeping quarters were clean and the bathrooms were clean as well. They have a kitchen and a living room where you can just lounge. Nice place!!!

Nice place! Clean and charming. Right in town so it was convenient...not too far from trail. Comfortable and roomy. Pizza at Mill shop was great after tough climb and ride from Cumberland. Thanks Judy. Appreciate it!

Great people to work with. The bathrooms are nice and you have access to a washer and dryer, sitting area inside, TV, and a nice deck out back. Just be prepared for the trains right out the back door.

Amazing little hostel. Owner's were kind and inviting. Has one big room with bunk beds and a couple private rooms, next to shared baths. Extremely clean and secure. Nice restaurant nextdoor with breakfast and pizza.

Rockwood is charming and beautiful. This was a nice place to bunk and clean up. The to-go breakfast bag was a great price and had enough coffee for me, which was nice.

Excellent stay at a clean hostel. Private rooms are available, but I chose the dorm room. Good common area and even a nice little kitchen :)
