A nice state park with a beautiful view of the dam and the mountains in the background! Some nice flatter trails too!

The Little Pine Park was the ideal location for a winter’s day walk. The water flowing is a soothing sound. Very easy to walk along the creek and all through the area because the trees are mostly bare. Campgrounds are clean, plenty of picnic tables

Even on a hazy day, it's difficult to not see nature's beauty. I've lived somewhere, within an hours travel,of this beautiful State Park, and each time I visit I reminisce in the familiarity of things from when I was a child, but at the same time get excited when I explore and find things that mother nature has changed. The camp grounds are a great blend of nature and activity. The beach is clean and the same as it was 50 yrs ago. Fishing is the best, and if you're lucky, you'll catch dinner before an Eagle does.

We had a really nice stay renting the yurts, they were both cozy and clean. They do not have AC in them only heat so definitely pack a fan if you are staying during the summer months because it got ridiculously hot during the day. One thing I didnt know before going was that there is absolutely no cell signal/internet, but there is a camp phone you can use if you need to. The camp ground was clean and quiet even when it was crowded over the weekend. The bathrooms/showers were clean, only thing we disliked was everything is push button. You can not controll the water temperature and sometimes it got cold in the shower. The play grounds for the children were also well kept. The lake is a short drive down the road and there is a nice creek you can walk to and explore from any site. We swam and was able to go kayaking at the lake. The park rangers do rounds frequently so if you needed some thing you could ask easily. If there was anything going on activities/information they would go around and let everyone know. The camp host also walked around one day during our stay to let everyone know to prepare for a storm we would be having. Lastly, pack lots of bug spray! The flies are vicious and bite the heck out of you!
Pros/Cons:
Pros:
Clean
Quiet
Affordable
Outdoor activities

Cons:
No service
Push buttons - Showers/Sinks
Flies
Yurts - no AC

Nice, peaceful, quiet state park. Be aware, the lake is "no wake" meaning trolling motors only. There is no cell service throughout the park but a short drive east to the small town of English center will give you 4G LTE service. The state park has a campground, eagle viewing area with an active nest, an archery range, gun range, and ample and hiking fishing opportunities. Great day trip or weekend destination.

You won't have any cell service or TV reception, but that's what we like. Good hiking trails, but rather hilly if you aren't in shape. There is a good little restaurant/bar/camp store for whatever you may need or have forgotten just before the park entrance. Be aware there could be bears or snakes nearby.

Little Pine State Park consists of over 2100 acres that offers many activities for outdoors enthusiasts. Many camping sites are available as well as a few small cabins and yurt rentals. There are many hiking trails within the park and the Mid State Trail passes through the park as well. The lake is a nice place to fish and boat and also has a bathing beach area as well as an area to watch for Bald Eagles. There is also an archery and shooting range located just north of the park. There is also a nice picnicking area just south of the park as well.

It's always a beautiful day at Little Pine state park.... Sometimes w the hustle and bustle of life, we tend to forget we have these nuggets of beauty in our own backyard! We got to see a baby Eagle in the nest to the far left .. then another eagle flew from the nest... Dipped into the water and brought out a fish! It was Amazing!!! That was the 4th time I had witnessed that there! Take some binoculars and just enjoy the views!

Cell phone service in front of the restaurant at the entrance to the park. You might have to jockey for position but it always works! Beautiful State Park . We have camped at many and this is one of our favorites. Spike Buck Trail is tough but awesome.

Loved the campground, was here late November so I pretty much had the place to myself for 2 days. Park staff was awesome, had a great conversation with one of the rangers who gave me a lot of local history and directed me to an awesome hike up Love Run Trail and back down Panther Run Trail.

Wonderful stay at the campground. Offers only electric at RV sites. Restrooms were very clean. Mid state trail runs through the campground for some great hiking! Saw a bear on our last day 😊 on the trail. Ate at the Happy Acres restaurant right at the entrance to the park and was excellent. Can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful adventure, great hiking trails, lovely large campsites. Bathhouses with warm water, great fishing if that's what you enjoy. Bald eagle nesting area. Perfect serene spot.

Good experience at this campground. There are showers at no additional cost. Water and electric. Parked next to hosts and they were great. Only complaint would be marginal cell service. I'll come back. Oh forgot the calmness of the river I was adjacent to.

Lovely, well kept park near Waterville, PA. Beautiful views from the dam above the reservoir and the meadows beyond the lake trail. Good paddling and recreation at resevoir and upstream on the creek. Pack a lunch!

We had the opportunity to see a Band Eagle pick up a fish right out of the water! So awesome!

No service which is great. Not too many tent spots but the bathrooms were great and there was a cute bar with great food, so if it rains you're safe. Lovely area to just drive around toom

This was our first time camping at Little Pine State Park just 4 miles north of Waterville, Pa. We had a great time. The park is very clean, all guests were very respective of each other, there are hiking trails nearby, there is a lake and big picnic area nearby, a camp store/restaurant within walking distance, and regular restaurants just 4 miles south in Waterville. Our site (21) had 20A, 30A, and 50A power available. I do not think there is water or sewer at any sites. But there is a water spigot available for all campers to stop at and fill their fresh water tanks and a dump station at the exit. They also have dumpsters and recycling containers available. It is very quiet and very close to state game lands for hunters. There is a bath house at each end of the complex and ours was clean and well lit. Bring your canoe or kayaks and have a great time!!

This park has beautiful and breathtaking scenery. There is handicap accessible restrooms that is close to the picnic area. The park is well preserved and very clean. There are activities available such as hiking and canoeing, and there is even a nature center a little further away from the lake down the main path running through. It had wildlife scattered through out that was not tame, but was curious enough to get a glimpse! I highly recommend this as one of your stops if you are traveling near the area.
