My pupper, Wilhelm, took a stumble down a ravine up by Upper Pine road, I lost site of him , I made it down to this visitor station and by god I was THRILLED when I saw the staff had found and held my dog for me. I thought he was a gonner, so happy to have him back. Thank you!

This review is for the Visitors' Center (a.k.a. Resource Management Center or RMC) at Tiadaghton, NOT the State Forest itself. It has a lot of useful maps and literature available for hiking, camping, etc. There are several interactive displays where you can learn about the forest and its landscape, wildlife, and history. The foresters and Rangers are usually friendly; unfortunately, most of the employees who work upstairs in the "customer service" area of the Visitors' Center are not very polite and seem to do their jobs begrudgingly, which can quickly turn it into an unpleasant experience.
