Qahwah House - Skokie

My best friend introduced me to this place. I wasn't feeling the cashier or her energy. She didn't have a customer friendly feel to her. The drinks and pastry were delicious though. They have a wonderful aesthetic and beautiful map mural on the wall. I also like that they offered patio seating. I don't know if I'll be back any time soon but they are good.

Qahwah house is a true gem for coffee lovers! The aroma of freshly roasted Yemeni coffee beans greets you as you enter, setting the tone for a delightful experience. Their coffee is rich, flavorful, and brewed to perfection, showcasing the unique characteristics of Yemeni coffee beans. The Adani tea is unmatched by any other Yemeni coffee place. Best honeycomb bread that it is very hard to stop eating.

Aside from the coffee, the ambiance of the place is inviting and cozy, making it a great spot to unwind or catch up with friends or to stop by and just do some work in your laptop.

The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their coffee, providing excellent service and recommendations.

We heard it gets crazy here at night so went in the mornings and it was still kinda busy but yet very pleasant.

The Qahwah house brand has really taken Chicagoland by storm. Definitely visit this location or the one in Lombard and be ready to chill in a corner with a nice pot of coffee or tea and a good conversation with someone 😊

Love it here. Such a nice place to come and meet people, work, or relax. Love the dragonfruit refresher and adeni chai. Mango refresher is alright. Yemeni latte is really good too but the honey gets stuck at the bottom. The warm Ginger milk (w/sugar) reminded me of my aunts house when she used to make it. Although the ginger is a little too pungent and the tiny granules was unpleasant while drinking. Overall it was nice

This coffee house is such a gem! After teaching in the Middle East and returning back home to the US, I missed the flavors of the Middle East, especially the coffee. The Yemeni coffee with flavors of cardamom is delicious. The atmosphere is lovely- the decor and outside seating.

For all my tea lovers, this is a must try place. They serve Yemenese tea in authentic style. It's so fresh and aromatic, you can feel that from the moment you enter the place. Their pistachio dessert is another gem that you should give a try to if you like sweets.

This place is wonderful. Great tea! Very friendly staff! I can’t say enough other than to say they need to open more!

Update: came back into town and showed my friend who just moved here about this place. We went for dessert. The cheese twist and cheese cake pastry were on point. The caramel chocolate cake was a little dry though but it was the end of the night. Still love this place, can’t wait til they open in St Louis.

What an amazing place to come! Hang out with your friends with your loved ones. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff always has a smile. It is extremely busy here and for a good reason the coffee, the teas. You can really tell that it's organic and The taste is one of the best I've ever had.

Been to the Qawah House in Dearborn and so excited to see one here in Illinois. Their drinks are delicious and highly recommend their adani chai. There’s plenty of seating here and it’s a great place to talk to people or hang with friends or family.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Hot Chocolate from here. I don’t remember which Yemen styled coffee that my husband got but he liked it; I wasn’t too fond of the taste of the coffee. I don’t think it’s a bad drink, I honestly think it’s just a different style of coffee that I’m not use to. With that being said, the coffee and the hot chocolate were goof quality drinks. I do hope to return to try more items on the menu including the desserts.

The atmosphere and vibe of this place is excellent. The employee who took our order was very nice and helpful.

Are you looking for a really good coffee? Then, look no more. In Qahwah House, it has some of the good delicious coffee you can ever try! Their coffee has aroma, body and good taste. Is what exactly a good coffee should be! You will not find the typical water with taste of coffee. You will find a coffee the way should be! And, for pastries?! Delicious 😋!

We stumbled upon this place by accident. It was right next to our hotel and we seen that it was open late one evening we were getting back. I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere was really chill and it was clean. The staff was very friendly. When I asked if they had tea, I was told yes and my friends and I were quickly given samples. There were several items I wasn't familiar with but each person I talked to was very patient explaining things to me and giving suggestions. The drinks and food were AMAZING! The Khaliat Alnahl is a must try! We ended up going there again the next morning for our last day. I would have gone each day we stayed if I had discovered it sooner. Such a gem :)

I recently had the pleasure of trying Adeni Chai and Coconut Busbusa, and I must say, it was a match made in heaven! The Adeni Chai was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice. It was like a warm hug in a cup.

But the real star of the show was the Coconut Busbusa. Flaky, buttery, and utterly divine, it was the perfect accompaniment to the chai. The coconut flavor added a delightful sweetness and creaminess that complemented the spices in the chai beautifully.

Together, the Adeni Chai and Coconut Busbusa created a delightful harmony of flavors and textures that left me wanting more. If you're a fan of chai or just looking to try something new, do yourself a favor and give this duo a try. You won't be disappointed!

Nice spot for a cup of joe. Yemen-based. Some creative coffees and teas. Good service. The inside is welcoming and super nice. Good place to get some work done. Only complaint was it was silent. No music, nothing. Made it a little odd to sit for long periods.

I'm a lover of all things coffee and this was my first time trying Yemeni coffee. I must say, it was excellent! The perfect synergy between black tea and spiced coffee would be my take on the flavor and experience.

They also offer a variety of pastries. I especially loved the honeycomb bread which was a perfect balance of sweet and savory.

The space itself is much larger than it appears from the outside. The decor is engaging. I do hope in the future they maybe add more plants or elaborate further with decorations and comfier seating; just overall make it more of a hospitable space/cozy space. It would make sense given they have long operating hours.

It's a great start, and with some minor improvements it will be THE coffee house of Skokie.

Gorgeous spot! The aesthetic and cleanliness of the store are on point! The pastries on display looked delicious! I got the Yemeni latte and was wowed by the flavor! The barista was very friendly as well. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu in future visits.
