Lino's

If you’re going to Rockford, you know you’re going to need to stop for pizza at the classic Lino’s. They have two locations, and have great takeout service where they bring the food right to your car in the parking lot. We called to place our order over the phone, and the girl who answered it was extremely helpful in getting our questions answered by the chef in regards to what was gluten-free and cow-dairy-free. Updates: the meatballs do have gluten from the bread crumbs and they do not (yet) have goat cheese or vegan cheese, but maybe that will change sometime in the future. They do have gluten free crust available for the pizza and a gluten free pasta noodle available for any of their pasta sauces.

They are famous for their pizza, and allow you to split a pizza in half so you can get different toppings on each side. For our group, we went with one half pepperoni and the other half sausage & mushroom.

Their classic tomato salad is also delicious and filling, with hard boiled eggs, sausage slices, cherry tomatoes, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots, and Italian dressing. For takeout, they ask how many people will be sharing the salad, and then they put all of your servings in one large catering tray. Full of flavor, I recommend always getting a side salad with your pizza for some balance.

We were there with our ladies club and all of us ordered something different. The service was great and the food was fabulous. Two of the ladies lasagna sauce was cold and they promptly took care of it and gave them fresh. Our waitress was great and as busy as she was still was pretty attentive to our needs. The only fly in the ointment was the reservation. I had told them I wanted something roomy so we could open gifts and they gave us a very small room with no room at all. However when we asked for something different they immediately took care of our needs. All in all a very good experience and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone just make sure they are aware of your needs or requests at the reservation.

This place has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We tried the large Caprice one and it was really good. And their salads are pretty good as well. And for dessert we had ice cream and gelato and they were super tasty. Our servers were great and we loved the ambiance it kinda of reminds you of Italy. I would recommend checking them out if you’re in the mood for pizza

So everyone i talked to said you need to try Leno's, It's a Rockford staple. Well, being Italian and growing up with an Italian chef almost always ends badly for the Italian restaurant. Not expecting much, I went simple and to my surprise I watched in amazment as all the dishes that others ordered came right past me and me saying dam wish I got that one. All in all, it's a great place to eat and enjoy some Italian atmosphere. Service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious!

We were in town for a wedding and did not know we needed reservations. We were able to get a table and it was a wonderful experience. Fantastic salads, entrees and desserts. Wonderful menu items, service and venue. So many good menu items that we had to order a pizza to go too! We will definitely be back if we are in that area and will call ahead for reservations. Thank you for accommodating us!!

Absolutely impeccable. I think they have nonna in the back cooking because it was TRULY Italian. Food was beyond delicious and service was incredible! Can’t wait to come back!!

This is the go to Italian restaurant for good food, large portions, great salad, special occasions. Even when the restaurant is packed, the waitresses keep everything moving and pay attention to the customers and the slightest details. Always a treat for the kiddies.

Was Valentine’s Day we had a nice section low lighting romantic atmosphere! Food was great as always one of our favorite places to go! Even took a cheese pizza to my grandkid for Valentine’s Day so him and his gf had a nice night too

Natasha Leggero mentioned this place on a podcast as her favorite restaurant in Rockford (her hometown), so I finally had a destination to stop at when I inevitably took a little day trip to Rockford. The food is great--the Lino's special salad was amazing as well as the surprise (to me) scoop of spumoni at the end! Still full!

Had our wedding reception here and it was such a great choice. The staff was so very friendly and attentive all night. The food was amazing and never ran out thanks to the servers. Everyone was so happy to help and go beyond to make sure we all had the night of our lives. Highly recommend for not just weddings but any party service. Absolutely amazing

OMG!!!! We really enjoyed everything. The food was amazing. I had chicken marsala, and the kids had ravioli. Natalia provided us with amazing service. Very accommodating for my daughter, who doesn't eat pork. And the ambiance is also really cool. We were passing through for a basketball tournament, and I wish this place was closer to home. I can't wait to return to Rockford.

I love Lasagna. Lino's knows how to do it right. Portions are generous. Service is warm and genuine. It doesn't get any better than this people. All their food and everything is exceptional. Enjoy 😍 Merry Christmas

They created the house salad that Olive Garden cheapened and duplicated.
Beautiful facility. We went on a Friday busy night. The atmosphere was electric! Lots of regulars and many large groups celebrating the holidays.
Salad was great
Sausage and peppers were good
Toasted ravioli was exceptional!
Chicken Marsala was marvelous!
Veal parmigiana very very very good
Others enjoyed their’s too.
Servers were decked out in holiday gear. Such a great experience!

Food is delicious, authentic Italian. I had the chicken Parmigiano and it was amazing. Best I've had. Wife and grandpa had veal marsala. Very good. Nice and thin veal, tender.
My son had lasagna and ravioli, which he said was "ok."
The sauce is cooked long so no indigestion. Delicious.
Server was nice but very inattentive. Said she was new and she showed it. Hosts were friendly and very welcoming.
Best to call and get reservations, even if the same night.

Lino’s catered our daughter’s birthday party at Flow Air Sports and it worked out perfectly! A combination of trays of mostaccioli and tortellini, Special Salad, delicious antipasto tray and their homemade bread was the perfect combination to keep kids and adults happy! Their team was so easy to work with on planning and given the proximity to Flow, it was super convenient. Thanks, Lino’s Team, for helping put the party over the top!

Tonight's pizza special was amazing! The crust on the pizza was unlike any other. Buttery and crispy! We hadn't ordered from you in a while now, you've gotten us back! So delish! Thank you!

So of course I had to come visit this place as we share the same first name. Plus, my wife wanted to check out the market and car show. I do admit that the market and car show was smaller than I expected, but I still enjoyed it. Everybody is nice and friendly.

My wife and her friend wanted a certain wine, in which was only inside at the bar, so the 4 of us (wife, her friend and husband, and myself) decided to sit at the bar in the nice atmosphere. The bartender was extremely nice and very kind. She allowed us to sit at the bar and have a few drinks while everybody else was outside in the heat. When there was no place to sit outside to eat, she also allowed us to eat at a table by the bar area when we asked. Unfortunately we were not able to actually eat at the restaurant since we didn't have much time, but we did try everything else we could.

My wife really enjoyed the Italian beef sandwich, I enjoyed the personal 8" pizza, and our friends also enjoyed their pizza. We also did get the bread they sold in the market and it was delicious! They offered tomato, sausage & pepper, and black olive & artichoke. I must admit that I did not try the black olive & artichoke as I do not like artichoke, but the other two breads were fantastic!

The group of us that went do plan on coming back so we can actually try the restaurant when they are open and we're all looking forward to it.

We were fortunate to sign Lino's to cater our wedding in Rockford during December '23, and we had an outstanding experience planning and celebrating with them! Korissa was communicative, kind, knowledgeable, and VERY helpful throughout the entire planning process (especially since we were planning everything from a different state). We were impressed with our menu tasting experience, and grateful we were able to make adjustments after receiving RSVPs from our guests. The table settings were elegant but not overbearing, and mixed with our decor well. Appetizer and dinner service was right on time at the wedding, and the Lino's staff did an excellent job ensuring everyone with allergens and dietary restrictions were safe and fed. The level of professionalism and attention to detail went well beyond our expectations, I cannot imagine a better caterer in the Rockford area.

Also, Joe's Gelato Cart was a great add-on to the service! Well loved by guests, cute presentation, and delicious!
