Bayfront Inn

Not really sure what the other angry reviews are about but we had a great stay. Service was good. They do leave at 5pm, but they make sure you are taken care of. Rooms are smaller, but we had room with kids and dogs. The cafe they give you cinnamon roll coupons for is really good to eat at as well. You can walk to a lot of good options from there. We walked to the Galley for dinner, and it was great. Would stay again. Adding a view from the parking lot.

Great low prices don’t line up with level of service, in a good way. They went above and beyond to accommodate my late check-in and questions after I arrived. Simple accommodations, but well worth it. They even allowed me to pull my bike into the courtyard.

Seemed family owned. Great location. Attention to details. The soap is awesome, has some scrubby bit, I took mine with me for my journey. Highly recommend.

Loved the price for the location! You're right by the bay and everything is walking distance which is a huge plus for me personally. You also get a complimentary cinnamon bun from the Cafe "Frankie and Lola's" in front of the hotel. I would recommend try to get a room on the second floor for a better view of the water. However if you're on the bottom floor they have an adorable garden patio with 2 seating areas that you can view the water from. The only negative is the walls are super thin I could hear the neighbors snooring so if you're a light sleeper definitely don't forget your earplugs.

Sweet little gem of a hotel. Rates are surprisingly low for what you get! I had to look at pux to be certain it was the same place. Rooms were always clean.

I needed a last minute room and coming from LA, my arrival would be late at night. The owner was so pleasant on the phone, so accommodating and I needed a late checkout as I'd be working remote also during the morning. Instructions on getting to my room were so easy, parking pass was left on the bed and area was perfect. Right in front of the rock with cute shops surrounding. I briefly ran into the owner as I ran out for a quick break and I wished I had stopped to chat for a longer time as I had just returned to the states from Italy and I could tell it was his home Country. The sound of the fountain was soothing, the garden area was a nice view and the room was perfect and had everything I needed for a quick stay. Will definitely come back. Thank you again for a super easy check in!

This spot saved us this Christmas break. After a horrible airbnb experience that left us finding a new spot to stay with two dogs on Christmas Eve we stumbled upon this spot. Was able to get the last room and spent four days here.

Great location, walkable to food and the beach. Would recommend staying here.

We had a very nice stay here. The man who runs the office (i assume he might be the owner) was very lovely and always up for a chat. While the rooms are rather small and the walls are very thin i still think the price is worth it. Everything was clean and the Inn is actively being kept in good shape (they were even painting some stuff while we were there). I absolutely loved that we were able to hear the sea lions at night in bed. Just made me feel very close to nature. Btw: the free cinnamon buns are absolutely huge. We decided to have breakfast in the restaurant an take the buns out for wherever we went that day which was great.

This inn is a cute, beautifully decorated gem with amazing views! Rooms are slightly smaller than average but provide everything you need, so they're perfect. Bed/pillows were some of the best I've ever slept on. We were gifted a bottle of wine because we booked two nights. Such a nice touch! Bakery on one side and a Cafe on the other means you won't have to walk far for coffee and breakfast. Amazing dinner options just across the street. More than a few social areas in the courtyard to sit and enjoy the view and local cuisine. You can tell the owners really take pride in their business. I'd absolutely stay here again. I'm already looking forward to our next trip here!

This place is absolutely stunning!! The owners are so nice, and extremely dog and cat friendly. The views are so beautiful, and you are near so many food places within walking distance. When you stay you get a free ticket for a cinnamon roll at the restaurant attached (Frankie and Lola's) which serves great food. They also give pet amenities like dog toys, treats, water/food bowls, and wine for the adults. My wife and 2 dogs have stayed here multiple times and will continue to stay here! Can't beat the price either.

We stayed here for one night and booked two rooms, one for me and my husband and one for my in laws. We paid for Morro Rock view rooms and it did not disappoint! The rooms are smaller, as it is a vintage inn, but they are very liveable. The shower was especially nice! We arrived late, and they still checked us in with a smile, which was nice. Lastly, I'd like to say that I've been traveling with our small dog for 4ish years now. It's usually just easier to take him instead of paying a sitter. This is the only truly pet friendly property we have ever stayed at. It's customary to pay a pet fee, but Bayfront Inn gives you an actual pet goody bag which is adorable!! Bowls were already set up for our pup. You can tell that the staff loves animals and it just relieves so much anxiety. Thank you!!!

Update: after three years, the motel is under new ownership. Some things have changed, some are the same. There have been some needed updates to outdated items, but it's also lost a little of the 60s/kitschy "flavor" we've loved so much. Still dog friendly, still incredible service. Still recommend!

This motel is a hidden gem. Straight out of the 60s, it's charming and colorful, with little bits of personality all over the place. The staff is just amazing, taking care of any little need. The rooms are small but cozy, and the place is situated just across from the north end of the embarcadero, where you can go watch the otters. It's pet friendly and accepts even giant breed dogs (one time we were there with a neighbor who had 4 St Bernards with her). They put little finishing touches on to make sure you're welcome, and for us that included a doggy welcome bag with treats, toys, and blankets, dog bowls down on a mat, and a bottle of non-alcoholic wine in the fridge as we are not drinkers. It's so lovely to walk into your room and have it so welcoming. You receive coupons for free cinnamon rolls at Frankie and Lola's next door to make up for the lack of breakfast options. They also have lower prices than most places in Morro Bay. We will go back whenever we're in MB!

perfectly located right across the street from T-Pier, owner is absolutely wonderful and we even got a voucher for free cinnamon buns next door.

We stayed here last minute on a Friday night with our small dog Olive. Imagine our surprise when we walked in to our beautiful room and there was a gift bag for Olive on the super comfy king bed! She loved her treats, toy and blanket. I loved the set up of the room and the view of the harbor and rock. We enjoyed the coffee maker in the room and complimentary cinnamon rolls from the little bakery next door in the morning. The shower was huge, large enough for two people. I wish it had a tub but loved the stay so much it didn’t deserve losing a star. Lee is lovely and I enjoyed chitchatting with her, seems to be a huge dog lover like us. I def recommend staying here if you’re in the area. We got great sleep listening to the sea lions barking in the bay on the (did I already mention?) super cozy king sized bed with SIX nice pillows. I usually bring my own pillows but I didn’t need it here. Totally 5 stars and we will be back!

Such a wonderful stay here! The location is amazing, especially if you like to walk along the water, or even walk to the rock. Our room was so clean, and nice. The staff was so nice and accommodating! We brought our two dogs, and they welcomed them with the sweetest bag of treats, and toys! (Which we spared the other guests by not allowing the dogs to have the squeaky toys until we left haha) we were lucky enough to have room 20, which has the most amazing view!! Keep in mind this is an older building, so rooms are on the smaller side, but not tiny or unlivable. Even with our two dogs, we didn’t feel to cramped. They give you a voucher for a free cinnamon roll next door for each morning. Make sure you grab a coffee from Frankie and Lolas with your cinnamon roll! No complaints here, and can’t wait to stay here again soon!!

Super comfortable bed, clean room, perfect location, and great price for a fantastic stay! I will stay at Bayfront Inn next time I'm in town. It is very pet friendly--though I did not have a pet, and I was glad that the rooms did not smell like pets. If you do have a pet, book directly with the hotel to waive the pet fee.

The owner is very pet friendly and provides free dog treats and gifts for your pet. There is not an assigned place for dogs to relieve themselves, so you have to go on a little walk down the front pathway. The rooms are small but the owner does what she can to make your stay pleasurable. She even provided a free bottle of wine. The hotel looks out over the bay / Morro Rock and all the shopping and restaurants are nearby. Sunsets are beautiful. Free cinnamon rolls are provided daily.

This place was great. They gave our dog the nicest FULL gift bag and left us a bag of salt water taffy on the bed! Staff was super nice, room was small but perfect. Maybe most comfortable bed in a room we've ever had. Lovely patio area as well. Look forward to staying there again.

Love this place! Rooms are small but staff was extremely kind and loved how pet friendly they were. It was more like a vacation for my little guy.
