Dolphin Cove Motel

I had an exceptional experience at Dolphin Cove Motel in Pismo Beach! The cleanliness of the rooms surpassed my expectations, and the modern amenities provided added a touch of luxury to my stay. The friendly and attentive service from the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed. I highly recommend Dolphin Cove for a delightful and comfortable stay by the beach.

We come to Pismo often, every birthday, anniversary, and random getaways, too. For the last few years, we've exclusively stayed here because you can't beat the location, considering both proximity to the beach and all that Pismo Beach has to offer.

This trip specifically, we were checked in by Ellena (glad Mike got to take a vacation!), and they had made notes about us being frequent visitors and that we normally stay in the ocean front suite. Well, this trip we had just booked a single king room, so when Ellena heard it was one of our birthdays, she offered us the upgrade to our favorite room!

I love experiencing appreciation for loyalty and feeling as valued as customers as we value this amazing place being here and the way they keep working towards being better all the time. Their service has always been top-notch, and the renovations they've done over the last several years have certainly been noted by us.

They know and we know we will definitely be back time and time again!

What a great last minute find! Perfect location! The manager was friendly, helpful and had a nice sense of humor. He recommended Wooly's which was a few steps away from our room, where we had a drink, some food and watched the gorgeous sunset.The room was clean, small, but just what we needed. Highly recommended!

Stayed for three nights. This motel is great. Friendly staff and great rooms. The best location for all the attractions. Manager very helpful with ideas for dining and local attractions.

Stayed there for a couple days. One of the best and reasonably priced hotels in the area. Best location, right on the beach. Excellent view from the room. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Can't beat the prices.

Great location with beautiful view of the sea. Walking distance to the famous bread bowl of the Splash. Friendly stuff. Wonderful stay!

Very clean rooms at a fair price. Some of the rooms are on the small side but manageable. The main shopping strip is a two minute walk and the beach is right on the doorstep of the hotel.. very friendly staff also. I have stayed at several different hotels in this area and my three day trip I just came back from, we stayed at the dolphin cove hotel and this is my one ad only go-to now. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay, has a really friendly staff, will come again to stay. Unfortunately weather was not too good to enjoy at its fullest.

Great location on the beach! My room was a single queen. A small room and bathroom, but very well appointed and very clean! Has a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby (the quilt is a great touch!). Staff was friendly and helpful. He even gave me a couple recommendations for a place to eat.
Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

GREAT location without breaking the bank! Staff was nice and the room was good. I wish it would have had AC but other than that it was well worth the money.

Location! WOW. Right on the beach at the pier. Parking included. Check-in was easy and staff were friendly.

Room was #16. Upper level with a great view. Comfortable bed, great shower and very clean.

Loved the old vibe of a 1938 motel but updated to modern conveniences.

We would definitely stay here again. Great value for shoulder season March 2023.

Dolphin Cove is the best seaside location I have found in California. I have not seen them all, but the beach is perfectly located and any number of food options are within a very short walk!

We loved our weekend here. We chose to take the upgrade they offered when we checked in and did not regret it. The sea view suite is incredible. The weather was not great, but we could sit in the little kitchen and watch the world go by on the boardwalk and feel like we were sitting on the beach! Staff were great. It’s not the ritz, but it’s clean and comfortable and the location is to die for. We will be back!

We just had the best experience ever staying in Pismo Beach! When we arrived I asked if there was a larger bed than the one I had booked online. Michael then showed me a few of the rooms to choose from including the ocean front rooms. We paid a upgrade fee and spent the week in the best ocean front suite I've ever stayed in! The staff was amazing and will now have a new favorite hotel to stay in!!!

Location, location, location! Our upgraded suite was perfect for my wife's birthday. Personal patio, walk to main beach , pier and shops! All food varieties within 2 blocks.

The room was comfortable and clean. Great views of the ocean from the room. We got the room with a king bed and It was spacious. The managers are very sweet and provided great service. Great location! Will definitely stay here again. Early morning beach walk, late night walk on the pier, proximity to restaurants and Pismo sunset were the highlights!

Super Great location!!! Room was small but had what was needed. When we stepped out/open the curtain, had a panoramic view of ocean lined with wood pier, beach, homes & mountain! Just so serene!!!

Stepped out of room, which has Immediate access to beach or wood walk way that leads to pier, or multiple restaurants / main street behind hotel!!! All so close whether romantic walks/ or drunken strolls!!!

I stayed with my 3 kids, but this place would be great for any type of getaway! Room was beautiful, clean, spacious, and had a great view of the ocean. The boardwalk connects to the pier, so we barely drove anywhere.. perfect for kids in car seats lol (would also be perfect for enjoying the night life with no need for Uber) I appreciated the full-size coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge with freezer... we brought food and drinks to cut down the cost. Overall it was amazing with helpful and friendly staff! This will definitely become our regular spot!
