Ada’s Fish House

When vacationing on the coast, eating fresh seafood is a must. Based on all of the great reviews, we decided to try Ada's Fish House. I was pretty happy that they were able to get us in on a Friday evening at about
6 PM without reservations, it was only a 15 minute wait. It was lovely on the pet friendly patio. The clam chowder was to die for, seriously the best clam chowder l've had in a long time, it may even rival my favorite place in Monterey! The fresh scallops were amazing, they were cooked and seared perfectly and literally melted in my mouth.
Even the scalloped potatoes and fresh green beans were also really good. Service was great. I would definitely return!

Best lunch! A friend recommended Ada’s for lunch and we were delighted with the experience! The wait staff was super friendly and positive. The food was incredible! I got the grilled halibut and my mom got the lobster Mac and cheese. Both were so good that I couldn’t pick a favorite. There was so much more that we wanted to try that we will definitely be back.

During a 4-day stay in Pismo Beach, I found myself going to this excellent seafood restaurant 3 times. Yes, it was that good. A good friend of mine highly recommended this eatery to me. I'm sure glad I tried out her recommendation. You will be too if you crave fresh and yummy seafood dish offerings!

Ada’s Fish House in Pismo Beach is a true culinary delight! This beautiful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere makes for the perfect dining experience. As we waited for our dinner, we couldn't help but notice plate after plate of incredible dishes passing by, each more tempting than the last.

While waiting, we enjoyed the best sourdough rolls fresh from the oven – crispy on the outside and tender and yummy on the inside. The Lobster Mac & Cheese is absolutely to die for and a must-try; it's the most delectable dish you'll ever savor. The house-made Fish & Chips are hands down the best ever, with large portions perfect for nibbling and sharing together.

If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, Ada’s Fish House is the place to be! We can’t wait to check out their other two family owned restaurants!

This place is a Gem!!! Our wonderful server, Liz, was very friendly and helpful! She's definitely a Standout! Always at our table at the right times! We had Jalapeño Margaritas with their Crab Cocktail, which paired perfectly! Entrees were the Salmon and Halibut House Specials of the Day. Both were Sensational!!! Indoor and large Outdoor seating is available; which is a plus. Don't miss this Incredible restaurant in Pismo Beach!!!

Super fresh, incredibly delicious seafood cooked to perfection. My wife and I enjoyed the crab cakes, oysters Rockefeller, seared scallops and seafood pasta. All dishes were great!

My wife and I shared a clam chowder, fish taco and cioppino. We liked everything we got. The clam chowder was creamy and with real clam flavor, thumbs up. The cioppino was really yummy. The fish, shrimps and scallops were fresh and plump. The clams were fine, but the mussels were only marginal. The sauce was as good as any cioppino sauce I ever had. I'd definitely recommend the cioppino like you like seafood. The fish taco was fine, it's like 7 out of 10.
Overall it was an excellent dining experience, highly recommended. Food was good. Price was right. Service was excellent, I wished every waitress was as welcoming and cheerful as Rhonda.

Some Best chowder I've had, comes with some great sourdough rolls🤌 and the Lobster roll 🦞was delish. We did without the slaw. Great service too, sat in the bar area.

Our server was very attentive and it was a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. We realized since restaurants were limited here, reservations are a must but we were accommodated nevertheless due to just my wife and I. Lastly, the food was great! We are definitely a return customer in the future.

This place was so good!
Clam Chowder was delicious, just like the one I had in Boston. Louie salad was great, the shrimp was so fresh and plump. Seafood pasta was excellent, the tomato cream sauce had seafood broth that made it so good.

Found this spot on our way to Cambria and let me tell you it’s probably one of the best local fish spots I’ve been in Cali. Service was great and staff all very friendly and helpful and kind. Fish n chips were amazing! More fish than breading and the sauce was really yummy. The chowder is a must have and pretty much any fish menu you can’t go wrong. Will most likely stop by on the way back too. :)

Was upset they wouldn't let us sit in the shade, and the outside heaters were on. After complaining they moved an umbrella over us and turned the heaters off. It was cold that morning but by lunch the sun was out and getting warmer quick.

Best seafood I’ve had in a long time! Great scallops, perfectly cooked and presented with delicious pilaf and fresh beans. My husband had the halibut special also perfectly cooked. Both dishes were fresh and lovely. Key lime cheesecake was excellent as were the cocktails. Ate at the bar which was very pleasant. Our server and bartender was friendly and attentive. Excellent restaurant!

We were on Day 3 of our Pacific Coast road trip, and after considering at least 20 other places we chose Ada's as our Fish & Chips destination. I got the Cioppino. I don't know that I can (in good conscience) recommend that you go anywhere else for fresh fish if you're in the area.

Charming service, a cozy dining room & great local beers sealed the deal. Already looking forward to my best visit. Cheers!

Laid back solid fish house. Picked this place because it looked like an unpretentious alternative to some of the nearby upscale dining establishments, that just seemed like it would be better able to deliver the goods. And it was. The clam chowder tasted award winning, as advertised. The dungeness cocktail was fresh and not overpowered by the sauce. The snapper special was great. The friendly staff was really what made it amazing. Look forward to coming back.

Spending the night in Pismo Beach. Decided to try Ada's for some seafood. They did not disappoint. Our server Alisha was so nice.

Oysters were excellent. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend the clam chowder as well. Drinks were a little strong.

Our service was so attentive and had a great attitude. Food was amazing. We had the complimentary bread rolls and clam chowder and they both were so good. Clam chowder was the best I've ever had. Tarter sauce was tasty and so was the fish.

My 2nd time here and I had the grilled fish sandwich. Delicious! And the cheesecake was excellent. Friendly service.

Great place for seafood items.
Very hospitable service. We had fish sandwich, fish tacos, fish and chips as well as their chocolate cake.
All of them were very delicious and would definitely recommend.

They also have fresh squeezed orange juice.
Enough parking also available behind the restaurant. It's located 0.4 miles from the beach parking.
