Our new favorite dining spot in Morro Bay. It sits about five blocks up a steep hill from restaurant row. Walking up was great for building our appetite! Everything we ordered was on point. More about quality than quantity. Great pie selection for dessert. Fish was very fresh and expertly cooked. Great service. A solid value.

Great food! They have so many options it’s amazing, you can pick between sea food, Mexican dishes, quick bites, amazing dessert options and breakfast all day!

Lovely restaurant in Morro Bay. The menu is huge from tradition American breakfast options to Mexican cuisine and pasta.
Went there for lunch and picked a salmon salad and chicken Alfredo pasta.
Recommend to have a good time and enjoy good meal in Morro Bay.

Great experience. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant is family friendly. It's just off the normal beach path so there was plenty of parking available. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu available all day as well. Great selection of pies. We had blueberry creme and chocolate creme. Absolutely would recommend.

Pretty noisy place.
Excellent service, especially being as busy as it was.
Food was very tasty. An unusual take on Chicken Fried Steak. It is pounded very thin and large, to cover most of the plate. It is easily cut with a fork, as it should be. Over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. Toast is included, but you have to request it.
Coffee was kept topped up. (:
Generous portions I couldn't help finishing.

Glad we gave this spot a try. Best "Fish n Chips" I've had. Though this location isn't by the dock area, it certainly beats taste & price in beautiful Morro Bay!!

I went for breakfast here during my first trip to Morro bay. Every time I go out of town, I like to try local restaurants, not the chain restaurants. I had the Veggie scramble and hash browns. It was delicious.

The food is always excellent,and the service is very good !!! It is a family owned business that has been here a long time

Absolutely wonderful food. Amazing service. Love the old diner feel. This is my new breakfast place in Morro. The potatoes were grilled perfectly. Waitresses are very sweet. Feels like my tias were taking care of us.

Good place to eat. We came here 20:35 and a very nice woman let us in. We ordered fish and chips and beer. Typical American for us and we enjoyed it a lot. It was quiet and nice location. Nice paintings on the wall and the employees are friendly. If you travel between Los Angeles and San Francisco go here to eat. We came here from Germany and we would come here again haha.

What a wonderful friendly local business in Morro Bay, CA! The Hungry Fisherman has been around for many years serving up both fresh seafood and other dinner items such as burgers and steaks. Our visit came in the morning so a delicious breakfast was in order. The waiter was very nice and made sure to keep our coffee mugs as full as we liked. I got a combo plate with pancakes which really hit the spot. Sometimes one's belly just calls for the sweet concrete that is a proper flapjack. I really enjoyed the 1970's colored glass windows along the ceiling too. They just don't make glass like that any more. There is plenty of parking available so be sure to stop in the next time you are in town.

The meal was quickly served. The coffee cup stayed full. The table was clean. Our meals were delicious. I highly recommend the Hungry Fisherman for fast reasonable priced delicious meals.

We came here twice while vacationing in morro bay. Really nice place. Eggs cooked perfectly. Wonderful service. Good coffee. Didn't get a chance to try the pie! Next time! Thank you for making our trip extra special.

Pleasant atmosphere with amazing food. Staff was attending to all the needs, fequently but not in an annoying way. Prices were decent, and woth it. Go here for breakfast!

This family-owned, family style restaurant is a Morro Bay Institution and serves yummy food at a decent price. nothing particularly fancy but without a doubt satisfying. the service is personal and quite friendly. I am sure they are able to keep the cost down due to the location not being on the Embarcadero but I am fine with that because there is ample parking and prices that are appealing to the locals and any lucky tourists who happened to stumble across this place. the hours are quite accommodating as well and it's a great way to start off your day exploring Morro Bay or the Central Coast. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The steak here is super flavorful and tender! Clam chowder was also very good. I had the mashed potatoes with brown gravy that my mother said resembles Morro Rock lol! My aunt had the chicken fried steak and she really liked it.

The food is truly amazing. Coming from someone who lives out of state. It's worth it to eat here.

I have had the fish and chips, and they are really amazing. I also had the traditional hamburger and fries.
