A perfect little peaceful park that’s great for capturing wildlife and picnicking. I saw trout jumping out of the water. Also the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

Beautiful! Did not care much for the loud music across the way, but very nice grounds. We camped with tents for 3 nights, clean and mostly quiet.

This place is hot, dry and dusty. And very beautiful. It’s a good place to reconnect with nature and appreciate both nature’s tranquility and your modern conveniences at home. Beautiful, bright magenta Bougainville flowers at the park entrance.

This park is perfect to spend a day fishing with the family or spend a weekend camping.. there's a park with plenty of tables and bbq pits where you can grill and have a picnic.. the park area has good shade but if you go further around the lake there's no shade whatsoever so you will need to bring your canopy to have any.. there's a couple of hiking trails that end or start there if you're interested in hiking

Lovely park and Campground with many hiking trails, my favorite being the cove to lake. There are flushable toilets with sinks (and soap). Just be aware that there's a Sheriff's shooting range nearby so if you hear gunshots, don't be worried. This place is great to spend the day or camp. It's one of my favorites in the desert.

Such a great little hideaway! Just far enough to get away from the town/city lights. Staff is sooo super nice!!! I wish I got the lady's name. I was the only one in primitive camping. They have a pool, but it is closed. I didn't know they had one tho and didn't even care. I was just happy to be surrounded by nature. Oh and you might get to hear and/or see bighorns. I heard them, but couldn't see any. I will definitely be back!!!

Lake Cahuilla is a great little spot to camp. The grounds are kept really clean, the restrooms are some of the cleanest I've experienced, and the staff is really friendly. The desert view with the blue water combined with the quiet made for a very relaxing trip.

Needed a place to decompress and breathe... found it ☺
it's off season so nature's beauty and open space is here to bogart!
ie;empty&this is medicinal!
The staff are thoughtful, informative, kind and have 20 plus years of service here- veterans!
So you know they love and care for it! Joe, Ms Gardner, Dan... thanks+!
Only a couple people came up this morning to fish and they left.
Beyond graceful to be protected from this stifling heat in such a beautiful place!
30-50amp(w&wo sewage)-showers(.25)-dump station-bbq pits-tables etc
The moment is well, helping to ensure it is well with My soul.
Here's a few pictures that can't possibly do it justice•

They have a lake for fishing, a swimming pool for the summer season. Camping, RV hook-ups. Beaches. Lots of trees for shade. Dog friendly (on a leash). Many picnic tables all around. Bar-B-Q grills. Clean restrooms. In the summer, when its hot, the bighorn come down from the mountains for the shade and graze in the grass (many of them). A great place to take the family, or even just the two of you. Peaceful. Veterans get in free!

We camped here for 3 nights and loved it. It's a smaller campground, very clean, and has a range of different sites from full hookups to dry camping. The operators were very friendly and helpful, too. Only 20 minutes from major grocery stores and shopping, there are a couple of hikes in the hills available, and fishing in the lake is permitted (although no swimming). We saw a playground and a pool, too.

This is a great place for fishing and camping as well as going on amazing hikes. If you have a chance to while you are in the Coachella valley I would definitely recommend it as a place to go to.

Very nice county park. Mostly water and electric. Some full hook ups. Lots of dry camp sites and tent sites. Very reasonable price when we stayed.

I just hiked to this lake on The Cove To Lake trail (7 miles / 10 Km) for the round trip. Beautiful place for a picnic and great playground for the kids. If I had my bathing suit I would have dove right in but not sure if it is allowed (It was a very long and hot hike and I still had to hike back) If you are starting from the lake start walking on the north side of the golf course along the base of the mountain. There are lots of signs if you are in the right place. Bathrooms were a little to desire but I was glad they were there.
