Moreno's Bakery

My son was planning to do his 25th birthday celebration in Coachella. Since the cartoon SpongeBob came out in 1999 on his actual birthday, he wanted a Spongebod themed 25th birthday party! Because I live in Northern California, I wanted to surprise him and his group of friends with a special delivered dessert. I looked at different bakeries in the area and I called Moreno's, hoping to find what I was looking for!
I was so happy to be connected with Gilbert who did a wonderful job of helping me figure out what I should do for my son's special event! He suggested we do a cake and he would hand decorate the special SpongeBob theme that my son wanted. We decided on a marble cake with Oreo cookie filling, and vanilla cream cheese frosting. We also decided to do some Decorated SpongeBob. Sugar, cookies, and chocolate chip cookies! One of the most special things about this experience was Gilbert generously offerer to deliver the cookies in the morning ( for a delicious snack)and then he returned in the evening to deliver the cake. Gilbert went above and beyond to
make sure my son felt special and were satisfied and happy customers. I will attach some photos of the cake so you can see how fabulously it was decorated. I would like to also add that my son said that the cake was beyond excellent and the cookies were so yummy! As soon as I entered the Morenos I knew it was special. Not only does this place serve delicious treats, but it also turns them into stunning art pieces. This is a wonderful bakery and Gilbert was amazing in making me one of the best chocolate mousse cakes I’ve ever had with one days notice! Highly recommend!!

There are not enough accolades to describe this bakery and it’s owner/baker, Gilbert. The bakery goods were so yummy; cherry pie, chocolate cream pie, cinnamon rolls, cherry cheesecake, dinner rolls and his famous chocolate cake. My brother kept going on about how good the cherry pie crust was. The chocolate pies were gobbled down. The dinner rolls were divine. Every baked good we devoured was excellent. And that chocolate cake? Oh my! The best part about the whole experience was Gilbert. Gilbert was so accommodating adding to and changing the order while our family of 18 visited Coachella Valley. Such a sweet man. We were elated we found this bakery. Looking for an amazing bakery in Coachella Valley? THIS is the one!!!!

I was searching for someone to make a cherry pie for my husband for Father's Day. I can hold my own in the kitchen but I didn't want to burn the house down in my first attempt at baking a pie.
I googled to see who does pies, not many places to my surpise. I came across Moreno's Bakery and gave him a call. He told me he could make a cherry pie. I gave 2 day notice for my order which he said he only needed 24 hours.
When I picked it up, the pie looked beautiful! It was nice and warm. I know we should have eaten right away to avoid soggy crust but we didn't get a chance until hours later. To our surprise NO SOGGY Crust! The crust was sturdy, flaky and buttery. The pie filling wasn't overly sweet. It was a perfect balance. I'm beyond pleased with my order and more importantly my husband was so happy. I can't wait to place my next order.

Moreno‘s bakery is absolutely amazing! We called at the last minute on New Year’s Day to order a birthday cake for a 29-year-old son. We requested a picture of a bicyclist on it. Not only did they get it done for us in time for our party, but the picture on the cake was so beautiful. Perfect!! Better than we could’ve ever hoped for. And the cake is was incredibly delicious! Thank you, Moreno’s...You made our son’s birthday very special!

I’ve been ordering birthday cakes, rosca de reyes, pumpkin pies etc for more than 25 years, they never disappoint me service and everything is excellent cakes are delicious my favorite one from there is mil hojas and rosca de reyes definitely my favorite from there I don’t buy it anywhere else but there…

Best cakes and pastries in the coachella valley hands down! I drive from cathedral city everytime I need a cake , rosca,or empanadas.Very delicious, and cakes remain fresh a few days after bringing it home.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST CAKE IVE EVER EATEN IN THE COACHELLA VALLEY!!! THE FROSTING WAS HIGH QUALITY IT TASTED SO GOOD!!
