We had a great experience surrounded by beautiful trees and snow. I would recommend bringing your own tire chains for a smoother journey.

Pictures can't do it justice. I assumed I wouldn't be impressed because I've seen so many photos. You HAVE to see this in person. It's inspiring. Unfortunately because of forest fires, many of the routes were closed off. But don't let that deter you. There's still so so much to see. This park is so so gorgeous, I did in fact get emotional. The drive up is also full of gorgeous views. I also bought my new favorite sweater at their gift shop, so that's pretty neat. The park is very clean and it's not as busy as I thought it would be. I was nervous there'd be so many people that I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself, but that wasn't the case! I definitely hope to camp there next time I visit. Please go see the sequoias. They deserve some love. So stinkin beautiful.

Very wonderful experience. We had snow, fog, clear, and bright sky within a day. The scenery was simply breathtaking especially when surrounded by the large trees.

Beautiful parks! Definitely worth the time to go to both parks. Kings canyon has some great trees to see, but Sequoia is definitely worth a stop as well. Great places to walk around, many easy trails and beautiful things to see.

If you are a tree hugging, hiking historian, this place is for you. A land of giant trees that date back before many of our times a wonderful visit, just a tricky, drive up and back don’t do it in the dark.

Giant trees that are more than 2000 years old situated at 7000 feet height with the trees themselves taller than the liberty statue? What's not to like here? Wish I could climb those trees to see how the view is from up top. This place is a pure marvel and has many great hikes. Do not miss the scenic byway into Kings canyon national park. Absolutely great place to bring kids to have a fun experience. They close the shuttles after summer. Crystal cave was closed too. Rest of the park was open and plenty of spots for lodging are available. No Tesla charging spots unfortunately.

A must see adventure you can do in one day. Both parks share a highway and are extremely fun.

Inspiring, shocking, incredible! What an amazing place. The trees are way bigger than I thought they would be and I loved every minute we were here. My daughter had a great time. There was always a new place or tree to see. Definitely want to come back one day!

One of the most majestic things i have ever seen. People say all the time that they are getting old. But these trees have been here for over two centuries. And then i saw a group of younger adults walking the path down General Sherman and what do they have in their hands, a case of beer and all the food they could carry . I can only hope that they carried it all back out !

Absolutely delightful! Divine giant forest! Just makes us realize how small we are in the front of 2000yr old Sequoia trees! Congress and Sherman tree trails are easy for everyone and gives u glimpses of the giants! We had fun in the wolverton snow play area. Parking was easier last weekend but may get more crowded in coming weeks. There is still snow around above 6000ft to do snow walking.

An incredible place to be the view is amazing and to be able to see those tremendous trees of more than 3,000 years makes us feel how small we are. It is a recommended trip we rent a house on the outskirts of the park which allows us to return to do the walks calmly and know the surroundings. The weather in August is hot so I would recommend light clothing and mosquito repellent.

We visited during the winter and most of the roads were closed. Please check the national parks website for latest road conditions before heading. The entry ticket is valid for 7 days, so plenty of time to explore.

Visited on 10/31. Can someone please give these parks some love? We did both Kings Canyon and Sequoia on the same day. Kings canyon is 2000 feet deeper than the Grand Canyon. Let that sink in. Vista view was the best view of the park on the kings canyon scenic highway. General Grant is mighty as well. General Sherman does not have a base as large as General Grant but is still the biggest tree in the world due to its volume of wood. Moro rock has the best sunset in the world!

The driving is a lot in these parks so please don’t delay too much.

Shout out to Brett (water systems) our new favorite park ranger in the NPS. His wisdom and knowledge gives you deep insight into the grandeur of the park and it’s history. Great guy!

AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL. You have to see it with your own eyes. Pictures do not do it justice. Just remember it takes a while to get to sites with the windy roads, and be on the look out for roaming cows in the roads.

If you're a visitor to Fresno or the surrounding areas. This is a place to come. Get away from the traffic. Go relax and smell the fresh air of the giant trees. Visitors from every country, language and ethnic groups come to visit the sequoia and the areas around it. Be patient with those that aren't from here.

what an awe inspiring place. the mountains are so beautiful. BE prepared if you are renting a car, the altitude to get to kings canyon goes up to 9k feet, and the tiny gas savers I saw people driving were getting stuck and really struggling at 6k feet. the trees are enormous, so happy our politicians thought to save them from loggers. some are estimated to be 5000 years old. It is sad to see the hundreds of thousands of acres of burned areas. but the ranger said it will return, not in our life time, but it will.

Visited a couple weeks ago on a Monday as a day trip. We did the General Grant trail first. Not many people there, and all wearing masks. Then as we were leaving that area of the park, the parking lot filled up with large groups of family being loud, ignoring the rangers who asked them to take their ball throwing to a picnic area, no masks, and crowding around our car. We were happy to move on.

We took the winding road into the canyon and enjoyed hiking around the meadow. We found a picnic area with no one else in it to enjoy our lunch. Beautiful views! More twisty roads to go to the side of the park by General Sherman. Glad I brought Dramamine since I can get a bit motion sick.

While driving, we had to stop where there was road work and only one lane of traffic could go at a time. We waited about 40 minutes before it was our turn, and the one lane stretch lasted several miles.

The trail to General Sherman was very crowded when we got there later in the afternoon. About half or less were not wearing masks. I often got glared at by people not wearing masks. We often stopped just off the trail to let groups of people go by with no masks and no intention of keeping a safe distance.

Also, the trail to General Sherman is downhill. It’s short, but going back up at that elevation was a tough for me. Worth the effort though!

We saw at least 5 dear and two bears. The trees and the canyon are so beautiful!

My complaints are about people being rude and unsafe about covid, despite the signs up everywhere and rangers doing their best.

Go toward the middle of the week if you can. Bring toilet seat covers since most bathrooms won’t have any.
