Shilla | Teriyaki & Sushi Bar

This place has the best Sushi in El Dorado County. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is very friendly. These people take pride in their work, and make sure that you're happy with the food and the dining experience.

This is by far one of the best sushi places I've ever been too. The staff were lovely, the wait time was short. The foods presentation was amazing, fun, and honestly really cool. The foods quality and flavor was really good. If I could I would rate it 10/10. Five stars isn't enough. Definitely going to come back whenever I'm in the area. (Forgive my brother being a dork in the photos)

I asked for the spiciest roll they had, and was not disappointed. It isn’t the spiciest thing I’ve had or even close but the heat built up nice and slow. They called it the “Black Dragon”. It’s not on the menu, but if you like heat, this is the roll for you 👌🏼

The friendliest service we have experienced in last 5 plus years!! My son absolutely loved the food. They gave us tofu for my toddler and a toy for both our kids. We felt so welcomed and will definitely come back.

Had a lovely, calm, quick experience. The sushi was delightful and well made. The service was quick and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and try some more of their food.

Don't let the purple building and the foothill location fool you, this restaurant is amazing.
The staff is very welcoming and attentive. A perfect place to bring your family and kids or just a couple.
There is a huge assortment of rolls, fresh and delicious. We tried 3 and will be back to try them all!
The kids chicken teriyaki bowl is big and delicious. They set the kids up to feel special. Special plate and fork. Kids menu also comes with a surprise.
We had the mochi ice cream for dessert!
UPDATE! Went back again and tried some new rolls, yep delicious. Kids got chicken nuggets and French fries this time.
I just noticed the eating area and view off the back deck. We will be eating there next time!

Great service, good sushi. As another reviewer said, don't let the location right off the highway or purple exterior fool you. When you walk past the sushi bar you'll see that this is a real sushi restaurant like those in SF or Vancouver. We ordered the spider roll (a little extra for real crab instead of imitation krab), miso soup was excellent, an assortment of nigiri. The hamachi was my favorite.

My goodness, the friendliest & most customer service oriented food place I’ve been to. Going to places with kids is usually insanely stressful but not here. My kids were immediately given some toys to play with. They gave us kid safe cups, plates & utensils. The food was fresh & tasy as well. Glad to have found our sushi place. Left feeling full & relaxed. A must try❤

Don't judge this restaurant based on location. We missed the turn because of the construction and not being able to tell it was open. We turned around and happy we did!! It's an older place, but I felt like I was paying for top-notch food and service, not pretty seats. We had extremely fresh Tuna, the staff educated us on the types of cuts we were getting and just made us feel like we were best friends. Next time we have sushi it will be there!

Edit** We went back, this time with our 4 kids. It was amazing! Our judgmental eater lived it, our I don't like sushi girl loved it and our I only eat chicken nuggets girl enjoyed it. We had the baby with us, they brought a high chair and before we ordered anything he had a child plate, miso soup, and a cup of water. We gave him some tofu and he couldn't get enough! Still amazing staff that makes you feel so welcomed

Awesome family run shop. The food is awesome. They have choices for every taste.

Definitely worth the five minute drive to get the best sushi in the area.

Was there for my 64th bday. The food was amazing. the service was amazing. The view was amazing & the Happy Birthday song was even better! You won't be disappointed.

Delicious bento box and a beautiful view from the back patio. Absolutely worth the stop, even if you have to make a u-turn to get there.

As residents of Placerville, my family and I try to circulate around the local establishments for a dinner out. Unfortunately, up until this evening, we had not been to Shilla. We were VERY impressed. Military family with deployments in Asia, making sushi and other Asian style cuisine difficult to satisfy. The first thing we noticed was the home-made fruit Soju jars at the back of sushi counter (very good sign). The staff were attentive and quick, yet very friendly and hospitable. Once we inquired about the Soju, our waitress quickly offered us a complimentary shot of the pineapple after dinner... which was way to delicious (I could see myself getting into trouble with that stuff :)
The cuts of fish were straight up, melt-in-your-mouth, and the prices were comparable to other local establishments. The group behind us were having a bday (they turned on this fantastic bday music on the loud speaker), then continued to share the cake with the rest of the customers. BTW my daughter thought it was the most delicious cake and would LOVE to know where it came from. SHILLA - we will be back soon, thanks for the hospitality on a rainy, windy, Presidents Day night :)

Great sushi in the foothills. Excellent quality fish. If you are lucky enough to sit outside they have a beautiful sunset to offer. The restaurant itself is humble. Beautiful view to enjoy. Try it.!

Shilla Teriyaki & Sushi Bar is located on the right hand side when you're on 50 East just before the old High Hill Ranch turnoff. Great food, friendly service and a great place to visit on a Sunday drive. Open 3 pm to 8 pm Sundays!

Fantastic place. Love the views, great food and service. Staff was so nice and treated us like we owned the place. We will definitely be back and telling all our friends and family.
