Westwood Hills Memorial Park

They do a wonderful job,they just took care of a family member, It was a tough time for us,but the cemetery took good care of us.

Last Saturday (6/24/23) I visited my Mom and Dad's plots only to be disappointed by the condition of disrepair along the ground of their row.
The lawn was dried up, and scraped off the plots, the head stone moved and left ajar, with a new hole dug next to the head stone.
It appeared to me there could be some current ground work or irrigation work being done because other plots along the row also looked in poor shape.
There were no signs to announce such work was being performed, or that the disrepair might be a temporary condition so that restoration to the sites would be completed soon.
The grounds have always been kept in good condition in all previous visits, so I will remain optimistic that this is, in fact, a temporary condition.
In the meantime some acknowledgment that the optimism is well founded with the intent to repair the conditions once the work is complete, would be encouraging.

8/1/23 The staff at Westwood Hills Memorial Park has now reached out to me and have indeed acknowledge there was an irrigation repair in progress during my last visit. They have since completed repairs, reset headstone, and re-seeded the plots.
I now have no reasonto rate the facility anything less than 5 stars and look forward to my next visit.

Absolutely beautiful park-style cemetery in Placerville, CA. Buried here are 2 famous people. One of Television fame, Ralph Taeger, lead actor in 60s western series Hondo and other TV roles. And second is Spider Sabich, famous Olympic skier (from Kyburz - in the Tahoe area), who was murdered in Aspen, Colorado in 1976 by ex-wife of Andy Williams, Claudine Longet. While living in Aspen, his next door neighbor was John Denver.

This is the most beautiful place in Placerville. It's park setting with fountains and statues adds to the visiting experience.

A nice country setting for your loved ones final resting place. Very private and well kept.

Sign at enterence says closed at dusk....I arrived at 5:30 well before dusk..I had just gotten off work and really wanted to visit family...I was rudely told the gate was going to be locked and I needed to leave. Extremely unprofessional.
