El Dorado Veterans Services Office

I’m a Service Officer with Post 6604 in Folsom. In my duties I refer Veterans to the regular VA Service officers. My “go to” person is Joshua Castro at this Veteran’s Affairs office. I have always found them responsive to the needs of Veterans. They return calls and messages in a timely manner. The Vets I’ve referred to them find them accessible and caring with their issues. I recommend them without reservation, especially VA Service Officer Joshua Castro.

The vets services were on top of their game and did what others could not. Josh Castro is well versed in his job and his office personnel are highly recommend in my book.

The Staff at this location are professionals in their field. They assisted me in applying for benefits and made the whole process completely transparent and effortless. I highly recommend any Veteran or dependent to visit this location for any questions or concerns they may have.

Staff was super polite and helpful! My family and I are very grateful that they were able to help us and made it a priority, saved us lots of stress.

I had good things to say about this office, their attitude towards helping veterans, and the work they were putting in until recently when a new VSO came in and took over. Now they are not helpful at all, even going as far as being dismissive and making judgement calls on your health even after you provide them with the requested materials/documents. I absolutely do not recommend this office any longer.

Their job is to service veterans. Yet they only do walk ins on Tuesday and Thursday. Went to the office on Wednesday at 230. The sign in book show 4 appts for that day and the last one at 1245. I was told I couldn't get a form printed because they were short staffed. Please note the time of the last appt until I walked in. I would like to know. what the office does the 3 days a week when they aren't assisting veterans. Note: we called for an appt and were told they were booked and had no appts for today.

This counties VSO screwed me over big time !! Dont waste your time!!
