El Dorado Trail parking

Beautiful, well maintained trail with spectacular views. Good for running or cycling. Paved in this section. Shaded lush vegetation. Huge parking lot with restrooms at the Placerville bus station.

Love scenery on this trail. My dog loves it too. Love the atmosphere of fellow walkers and riders. Love the fact everyone says good morning with a smile. I just moved to the area and this is by far one of my favorite places in town to hike. The birds chirping makes a nice nature walk. You might come across some dear in the trail, I sure did today. What's good placervillians. This is our lovely bus stop transfer station. Two bathrooms. Covered seating while you wait for your bus . And they do have drinking fountain . Great bus station very clean and safe . Smile kids your on camera here .

I am new to the area and I have walked this trail quite a few times, and every time a friend comes to visit from the Bay Area I bring them here. This trail is amazing. It’s an easy walk, all paved, good for hikers, bikers, runners and walkers. Everyone loves it. And in the snowy winter, it is a perfect winter wonderland walk. I love this trail!!!

There's great parking here by the bus station, and you can get just over 7 miles each way, if you head east from here. The trail has a nice, steady elevation climb, and is nicely paved for 4.5 miles to the east. After, it turns into some gorgeous single track. Love this trail!

So I know what I'm talking about when I say that there is something special about this area SPECIFICALLY!

The trail head will give you convenient access to all the hot spots in Down town Placerville, aswell as the surrounding area....

And just as a heads up, if your planning on walking the trail at night, NEVER do it alone, and bring a good flash light!

Unless the moons whinging brightly, It will be pitch black!

There is no longer Wi-Fi at the Amtrak bus station, but toilets are open and 2 out of 3 electric-car chargers work.

This park area is beautiful and full of life crystal clear waters and hiking to no end a great place to explore and for you rock hounds pure bliss. I love this place !!

Always stoo here from my way to Eldorado CA from Reno to use the restroom

Quite relaxing place to wait for the bus.

Went mountain biking and this is where we started. Great trail just down the street travels all the way up to Camino.

It's an excellent trail.. Upsetting the history that was destroyed to make it though.. Was the old railroad tracks.

Lovely route for looks and just walking. Just don't go at night
