Snow Tubing here is so much fun! The lanes are fast and fun. My only issue was the double tubing policy. You will need special permissions to use it. If you have young kids that you want to ride with, please 🙏 check their policy!

A great day on the slopes. For me as an advanced skier I had a great time. Lifts were not super crowded and trails were still in decent shape even in the afternoon. My husband was in the beginner area using the magic carpet and he said it would take him 30 mins to get on the carpet. I tried to get him on one of the chairs but he was not ready.

Our first visit to Hunter Mountain was absolutely amazing and definitely worth repeating. Skiing was awesome and our stay at the resort was perfect. Ski in ski out was very convenient and so was the ski storage. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The deluxe studio had everything we needed. We had a great experience.

We had such a great time here. Snow was powdery, the food was delicious, and the people were incredibly nice. When our car battery died in the parking lot, two heroes from guest services, named Pete and Adam, swooped in to the rescue. It felt like a scene out of Avengers Infinity War. It was glorious. We love Pete and Adam, and we love Hunter Mountain Resort. Definitely returning:)

Great ski resort for all levels. There was no snowfall in December in NY but Hunter had plenty of snow thanks to their snow making machines. I strongly recommend it to friends and family. We will be back shortly!

We visited this resort to experience the fall foliage ski lift and the Oktoberfest. The line for the ski lift was almost 1-1.5hr long. Ensure to buy tickets online as they close the ticket booths due to the rush. The ride up and down was beautiful as you have expansive views. Clean bathrooms and ample free parking available. Very limited options for food…

Great place to ski. Was a bit more advanced than I am used to but Im sure the younger more experienced skiers and snowboarders will love this place.

My first time at Hunter today and I had a nice time during the snow storm. Conditions were great, plenty of challenging terrain. The lift lines were a bit long, but I guess to be expected on the first real snow day of the season falling on a weekend.

Hunter is a fantastic and very special ski mountain. Most of its terrain is geared towards advanced and expert skiers. Intermediates might not find much interesting terrain - go to Belleayre (which I also love). However like most challenging mountains the beginner selection is OK especially if it’s one of your first day on skis or you have a child who has just started turning. After that it’s going to be tough to find something that either won’t be scary or crowded.

Hunter has long had a reputation for being too crowded. The new north side lift has alleviated pressure from F and Z lift so if you stay away from the base area after 10pm or so on a weekend/holiday you should be ok. The crowds thing is real but can be avoided if you are an advanced skier and a bit strategic.

The reason I think Hunter is special is because it’s an oddity. It shouldn’t exist. It’s a huge steep rocky snowy knob that doesn’t look like the nearby mountains. Many of the main thoroughfare trails on the main mountain seem like they were literally dynamited out of the side of the mountain to create large catwalks. Anywhere they could put in fall line skiijng is far steeper than anywhere nearby including the mountains in southern Vermont, which feel flat by comparison. The west side is true east coast steep skiing rivaling places like Killington and Sugarbush. Hunter only falls short because some of these runs aren’t quite as long as it’s wilder neighbors to the north.

In short, for advanced skiers in the tri state area, this saves the 5-7 hour drive to northern New Hampshire or northern Vermont and offers a similar challenge.

Let’s not forget the party atmosphere for apres and one of the more exciting towns for partying in the Catskills, Tannersville.

Overall great mountain if you’re an advanced skier.

Everything is dependent of the weather, full snow day really great ski.

Costumer service 10/10

I think the mountain routes to ski are little shorts.
- Perfect for beginners
- Okay to practice

The new trails are really well done for intermediate Skiers And considering the lack of natural snow, they did a really good job covering the mountain.

Despite the change in ownership, Hunter is still an incredible mountain with passionate staff, great snowmaking, and diverse trails. Just make sure you come early to pick up your passes before the mountain opens, make sure to remember that Hunter North has its own parking lot, and to have a blast!

We had a great time! Staff was friendly. Not terrible waits, we each went down about 6x in two hours.

Great mix of advanced slopes and terrain, but the mountain doesn’t always open fully… get the season pass if you want to come here

Thank you for the Ski Patrol here. I almost think I will lose my snowboard. Thank you for getting it back. It snowed heavily today, which made me feel very good. I will visit here often.

Nice early season turns this week… Considering the recent warm weather and rain it was great to be able to get out on the mountain for a few hours!

We lucked out—not too cold but even with a little rain, tubing was still fun.
