Class up your gas and take your vehicle and stomach to Alex’s! A great date night rolled all in one. We drove 45 minutes away just to experience the magic. I would suggest you follow suit! Service was spot on, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Get your gas and food tanks filled today!

This place is amazing. A great selection in the market area, some really great hard to finds. The brunch and Bloody Mary flights we delicious. The server was GREAT! She was a more mature woman (older than the other servers). I wish I had gotten her name for reference. She had great suggestions. Her attitude and demeanor were just the kind we enjoy. Definitely will be back.

Emma was outstanding and made our night with her amazing service. She helped us pick out the best grub and drinks. She was super friendly and even had her boss take us to the banquet room that we didn’t even know they had. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try something new with a twist. We had a couple bowling lanes reserved and were eating table side while we played. I will be back 100% and asking for Emma.

Had read about this place and finally got a chance to go. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the market downstairs was very unique. I don't think I have ever seen such a variety of packaged meals to go, or beverage options. Next time I would like to try the virtual reality 'game', and the bowling. And to think, all this at a gas station.

Out in the middle of no where but a great adventure to get to. My adventure was a company party. Food was excellent, definitely a place to consider. We had an open bar and they took really good care of us. After words we went up stairs and the crew had a great time bowling, yes bowling at a gas station. As we left, took a little walk about around the store area, a great variety of things to choose from, prices were a bit high but the quality looked good. Definitely make your way out and check this place out! (Sorry no pics, it was a company outing and my wife preferred I didn’t do a full review)

We absolutely love Alex’s! We especially love it for Sunday breakfast and appreciate the great service, accommodation and friendliness of the staff! Will continue to look forward to their great food for years to come!

Is it a grocery store or taproom? Bowling alley? Gas station? It's all of them! A one stop shop destination, that has probably the best array of deli options you could possibly ask for and a Taproom Bistro that has 101 beers of tap with exceptional food. Went before going to the Pine Knob Theater for a quick bite and was the best decision we could have made traveling and not knowing what to expect in the area. If a place like Alex's Gourmet Market was where we lived, would not be upset and will be a frequent patron. There's something for everyone when in a group. Definitely worth stopping by if in the area.

If you live in Waterford, White Lake, Clarkston, Milford or Highland or anywhere within 25 miles, then this is a must stop!!

It is like a Plumb Market and Papa Joe's but more quaint.

Get your gas, pick-up your gourmet prepared meals, buy your wine or liquor from their large selection BUT most of all enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by chef Matt Bray.
I was blown away by the plating and the of course the taste of the meals pictured here. The food has a mediterranean flare but you can also order the Korean barbecue wings and the boom boom shrimp! The salmon dinner, OMG!
I found out from talking to the chef that they offer piedmontese beef which is rare to find and that they offer Toothfish glacier 52 chilean sea bass. This is one of the finest fish you will eat.
All the meals seem to be of a high caliber standard at very reasonable prices.
I hear that they will be opening up a reception venue in the lower level by beginning of 2022 and will host 150 person parties.
Be sure to say hello to Hope, the manager. She is kind and knows the meu options well.
This is not a drive by, it is a stop by and stay for awhile kind of place!

Alex's is such a nice luxury to have available in our neighborhood. Such an impressive facility. Staff have always gone above and beyond. Food has always been top notch. There's like 96 beers on draft right now. A bowling alley upstairs. Ice cream shop downstairs. Even rec fuel at the gas station outside. The grocery store has great quality products and some of my favorite stuff. Alex's is a very unique one stop shop.

8/2021- Items are, on the most part, priced higher than a grocery store but the quality of prepared food is always fresh!! Never disappoints!!

We do business near by and it's always a treat to come inside and get something on the go.

They have a variety of cultural foods. I really like the sushi, guacamole, home made tortilla chips, hot food stand, fresh fruit, so much to choose from.

01/2023-Update.
The Alex's restaurant is upstairs. Needed something on the go just before lunch time. Restaurant was opened and there was only one other lunch group of 4 there.

Had a Reuben Sandwich... OMG is this so good! Seasoned perfectly with the right amount of blend with the slaw and meat. Bread with crunchy toasted on the outside yet soft enough to bite into. And the lentil soup and chicken noodle were tasty. Instead of a cup, ordered bowls. Yum, yum, yum! 😋

Priced right and the servers were extremely friendly and willing to help make you feel comfortable.
Also, there is a small bowling alley inside the restaurant! Can make a group party coming here!

I will definitely frequent the restaurant again. Highly recommend.

We used Alex's for our company Christmas party this year & HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who wants to eat amazing food & have a great time! We never knew we could have a party here but we were their first! The venue easily accommodated our group of 70 for their first party and I would have NEVER known it was their first. The event coordinator, Hope, made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it when I got there as well as having a staff that went above and beyond for us all night. Our team was very surprised when they walked into the main level of Alex's but were very excited once they saw where we were. We hosted our party in the basement and later enjoyed games upstairs.

We enjoyed appetizers & drinks (the dreamiest fruit platter, gourmet cheeses and crackers, and their staple, the Mediterranean platter) while watching football on their big screens. Followed with a delicious specialty pizza and pasta bar that EVERYONE WILL NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT.

We were able to watch football on the big screens, play music, a slideshow, and a speech all downstairs in our own area. The area down there is PERFECT. With a coat room, bar, and bathrooms, we had everything we needed and it felt so private! The style is great for anything, fancy or not. The brick and wood walls go perfectly with the chandeliers and pretty tables/chairs.

We later took our party upstairs to the third floor where we enjoyed the golf simulator, virtual reality, and 4 bowling lanes. We had people floating from the basement to the third floor all night but our waitresses still accommodated us the whole night on BOTH floors. We couldn't have asked for more!

Hope worked closely with me to ensure this party was exactly what I wanted while staying in a budget. I am looking forward to working with her again in the near future.

Wonderful discovery on the road while visiting friends and family. Who knew that they have a drive thru? Awesome if you're familiar with the menu and know what you want. Helpful staff and just a pleasant experience all around. Nice selection of just about everything; some vegan items as well as chicken and fish. Some foods sold by the pound. I'm not a drinker, but I was impressed with the quality of the wines. Sodas aren't my thing either but if you are, they've got you covered. Plenty of iced teas, waters, coconut water and I think I saw some kombucha drinks. Plenty of parking and lovely flowers to purchase for your table. Highly recommended!

1st time here! This is definitely a place to stop. Great selection of beer, wine, and liquor. They have hot food as well, variety of dips, and beverages.

Out for drinks and a bite. We had driven by Alex's multiple times and thought we should give it a try. Now we're glad we did.

We sat on the balcony and were very comfortable. Very relaxing. Good service. Flavorful food. Large menu. For entertainment they have bowling, virtual golf, and VR.

I have been a customer for quite some time and really can't say enough about how amazing Alex's is. It is important to know that there is more than one location and that not all of them carry the same items. The location at Andersonville Rd. and White Lake Rd. is the one with the biggest selection of gourmet items, the one I frequent most and the one this review pertains to.

Looking at the building, you aren't really sure what "gourmet" is going to be, primarily because Alex's is also a gas station. Then, you walk inside and you are totally mind blown. The market is something I just can't explain, because it's really that cool. There is also a restaurant and a bowling alley upstairs.

They have a floral section with absolutely gorgeous fresh flowers and healthy seasonal plants. There is a huge prepared food section with tons of different options (sushi, middle eastern, Italian, Greek, etc. - literally everything) and a made to order area (if you get a middle eastern bowl, go for the base that has the raisins in it). They have a butcher and seafood area. Yes, you can buy fresh quality steaks, huge shrimp and king crab legs at a place that sells gasoline. There is a pretty big fancy cheese area, a fresh produce section an ice cream shop and so much more. You really do have to see it to believe it.

I bought some tropical avocados, imported from the Dominican Republic, last weekend that were bigger than my hand and very reasonably priced at $3.99 each. Local grocery stores sell avocados that are much smaller for $2.99 a piece.

As far as fuel is concerned, I don't buy gas here because it's considerably higher than the other gas stations in the area. For example, regular unleaded was $5.29 a gallon there and $4.99 a gallon at the Kroger in Davisburg.

If you're in the area, stop in and check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Alex's is a staple for when my friends and I go to shows at Pine Knob. We sit out in the sunny area and eat food and drink beer flights, then go downstairs and stock up on snacks. Great menu options, good food, fun staff. There needs to be more of these!

The market is incredible! There are so many things to choose from! The food at the restaurant is delicious!! Mac and cheese are the best I ever had. The bowling is so much fun too.

So many unexpected pleasantries. I found this place on Facebook and the food is what caught my attention. However upon arriving there is a gas station, a beautiful market with a large variety of unique wines, speciality cheeses, bread and meat, flowers, etc. Then upstairs is the restaurant/ bar; it was surprisingly quiet on a Saturday afternoon considering the college games were on. The food was good and fast. Over 90 taps available. There is a bowling alley there as well and we played an hour worth of games. Overall it was a great experience and fun and I will return soon.

A bistro, a cafe, a deli, a liquor store, a bowling alley, a gas station. I've passed this place so many times and finally got around to trying their brunch today. The food was delicious with a lovely atmosphere. We then went downstairs to where they had EVERYTHING you could think of. They had so many house made goods such as sandwiches, desserts, juices, and more. I can't wait to go back and experience more of what Alex's has.
