Sal's Place Family Restaurant

The fish and chips were excellent. I believe next time I'll ask for them to fry the fish a little more, just a preference of my own nothing against the fish itself.

Sals place has become one of our favorite places to visit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is hot and fast. Servers are attentive and never let my coffee cup go empty. We also go there for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. Food is hot. Service is fast and friendly.

We had an amazing dinner here, multiple times. We've tried quite a lot on their menu and honestly i haven't had anything I would say was bad from here ever. The staff is wonderful and the food comes served in large portions and is cooked well. I would highly recommend for lunch or dinner🤙

We are travelling home to Canada and we are staying in Munroe Michigan. We went to Sal’s for dinner. From the moment we walked in I loved the place. Friendly and packed with what looked like local people.
We were served by Nicole and Kayla.
I told Nicole I have a dairy allergy and she made sure that the meal was prepared appropriately. Service was excellent.
The food was fantastic. Portions very big and extremely good value. Would recommend this place to anyone who may be from or passing through town.

Good local place! Chicken Gyro was good! Saganaki was tasty and the breakfast is always tasty. Wait staff are also top notch!

Wonderful hometown diner. Great food. No complaints only complements. They need to keep everything the same, and move to a larger building in the immediate vicinity. Waitstaff is fast and efficient.

We have always had a good time eating here. The food is fresh, tasty and well prepared. The service has always been great. It is also very clean, which I like. We tend to eat here when we are meeting some friends. The dining room is not large and it can get crowded during lunch time. If it is busy it will get noisy, might be a concern if you are hard of hearing. The banana was very good, it came in a soup bowl so there was more than enough for me!

This is the place! The waitresses are getting their hustle on...the cooks smacking those spatulas making goodness. Eggs are great without the after taste. Hash browns not greasy and taste like a potato! Daily specials are rotated and look amazing.

This little diner is nothing less than amazing! The food is always phenomenal, and the prices are always easy on the wallet. The waitresses are always so friendly and accommodating. By far, the best fries EVER! ABSOLUTELY love this place!

If you're looking for one of the best Fish Dinners in Monroe look no further. I don't care if you get the Perch, Cod, or Walleye it's fresh and the fries are addictive. Thank you for being consistent with your service.

Their grilled chicken bacon ranch wrap is SO GOOD! 😋 They make a fantastic breakfast and have excellent service. My family loves this place! And, all the times I've been there, they have never made one single mistake in my order. No matter how I order something, they get it right every time.

I travel extensively and have not run across one this about anywhere. I could hardly believe my luck when I moved to the shore on lake Erie and sals was just out front. There is no where I know of within a thousand miles that I would rather have next to the house. You can't get a bad meal there. Every aspect of the place is 5 star

Very friendly staff. Food was great and a lot of food for the price we paid! My tea was never empty, and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. Keep up the great work! The grilled catfish I had didn't need the tarter sauce. That good...

Love fish Fridays and the Reubens are my personal favorites but most of the meals here are delicious I haven’t tried them all but working on it!!! Lol
The staff is well accommodating for a quick Togo or kick back and pull up a seat as you will see the service is second to none!!!

Just tried this place for the first time. We called and placed a carry out order. The food was ready within 10 mins. We got breakfast skillets. The food was amazing. Large portions and great taste. We will definitely be back.

We just ate there. Food was great, fresh and tasty and it was ready in 15 min (3 dinners). Place was fairly busy, but waitress checked on us multiple times, brought extra napkins and check fast. I had liver dinner, hubby- catfish, both were large and came with potatos, corn and salad. Place was clean, people friendly, cost is low, most dinners $9-12, kids meal $5. Definatelly will be back and will keep in mind as good food stop between Toledo and Detroit

Sal’s was absolutely wonderful! I’m so sad I can’t remember our server’s name, but she had the prettiest braided hair! She was so very kind and accommodating, warm and welcoming.

The food was delicious as well. We woke up early to catch the sunrise on Lake Erie and were famished by the time we got to Sal’s. The omelet, potato, and French toast (which is DEFINITELY better than your mom’s) were the finest rewards after our early morning excursion. If the coffee wasn’t so delectably warm, I would have chugged 10 cups.

Thank you so immensely for being the cherry on top of our much needed, full-of-firsts, and filled-with-lessons, trip to Michigan. We may or may not be back ;)

Great family place! Staff is always kind and patient with Grandpa 😂. Great service on top of refills etc. Food is always hot and delicious. My personal favorite is the salmon. Overall great place! Thanks for the great service.
