Sammy's Tap & Grill

This was my first time at Sammy's Tap & Grill. We has a business lunch with 5 of us. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. He made a recommendation based on what one of my co workers was looking for. He was spot on. It is definitely a college bar. If your looking for a relaxed atmosphere and good food Sammy's is the place for you. On a side note NC States head women's basketball coach was having lunch 2 tables over from us.

I think you should try it I liked it very much our server was very kind and polite the food was served hot and fast the atmosphere inside is great I will come here all the time from now on

Not for everyone. If your looking for a chain polished sports bar , it is not. The 5 stars is not for the decor. That’s subjective but the food was hearty , well priced and the service was great , thank you Charlie , made our visit special.

A huge shoutout to Jasiah for making our dining experience at Sammy's truly memorable! Her attentive service and friendly demeanor elevated our meal to another level. She provided excellent recommendations, guiding us to try the ribs, which turned out to be the highlight of the menu. The ribs were absolutely phenomenal—tender, flavorful, and downright delicious. Jasiah's attention to detail and genuine care for our satisfaction truly stood out. If you're visiting Sammy's, be sure to ask for Jasiah's section for a top-notch dining experience!

Pleasantly surprised. Didn't plan on eating here, but stopped in and had a great time. Friendly staff, manager checked in to make sure we were taken care of. Food came out fast and hot. Will definitely be back.

We just had the best time at Sammy’s Tap and Grill! We had a large party that Michelle, the awesome manager, reserved a terrific table for us. Our server, Maura, was fantastic. Thank you for the great service and food!

Sammy's Grill has amazing bar food and one of the best yellowfin tuna sandwiches I've had! Give them a try. Great atmosphere. Plenty of seating and a pool table

Jojo was our server and she was great! Very attentive and friendly even when a game was starting and folks were filing in to sit. 👍👍✨

We went there to celebrate my son’s Birthday and To watch the Steeler game. I was a little nervous because the Panthers were playing at the same time. But as soon as the game started MOST of the TVs switched to Black and gold!
They food is good and reasonably priced. The majority of the seating is in a partially open air area. It can get hot. Don’t go there on a first date because it is loud and often crowded! Do go there for great food, cold beer, and football!

I'm visiting from California and my a friend took me here for a quick bite... I was instantly greeted by a waitress....I believe her name was JoJo....she made the whole experience fun for me especially since I was home sick....very pleasant and kind....I've never experienced service of that magnitude in a restaurant before....JoJo made the experience on top of the delicious food for me and kept us smiling and laughing the whole time!!

The tuna steak was incredible, they have a great variety of good food and bar food standards. And you cant beat the NC State decor and all different TVs showing all different sports.

Had such a great time at Sammy’s the night of the NCSU/Duke and UNC/Miami games. Gustavo was incredibly attentive to our very large group. People were coming and going and asking for things at different times and he was on top of it all! Also didn’t hurt that we won incredibly Hurricanes game tickets in a half-time raffle. Sammy’s is a perfect spot for game day. Lots of good parking, decent sized menu, and plenty of seating.

Lots of great food options here with a friendly and sporty atmosphere. They also play good jams.

If you're hankering for a menu with tons of variety, this is your place! You can get tacos, pizza, wings, sandwiches, wraps, and/or good appetizers! Sub in sweet potato fries for sure!Don't forget the drinks!

This is a must hangout for the NCSU community! Happy hour, anyone?

Sammy's Tap & Grill in Raleigh is a true gem for those who appreciate a friendly atmosphere and an excellent selection of beers on game night. The menu is varied, offering delicious dishes that demonstrate careful, typically American preparation. Although some items may seem a little pricey, the quality and portion often justify the price. Service is generally prompt and courteous, making every visit a pleasure. Despite the occasionally high cost, the overall experience is well worth the detour.

We were from out of town for a wedding. Needed a sports bar to watch ND game. Michelle the manager was so willing to get in on a tv for us. She was so nice. Quinn our waiter was awesome. We had a great time in a great atmosphere. Highly recommend Sammys. 5 Stars. 👍

I have been coming to this place for a few years and over the last few weeks. I can tell that people have taken their time to pay attention to the patrons and make me feel at home. Its been a great atmosphere with Josh the bartender

This place is a really good food spot. I'm not into sports but the food makes up for it all. They have a great Buffalo wing wrap and the service was great. Our waiter, Q, was very nice and helped us with any needs we had. Overall I recommend it.

We were in town for a concert and stumbled on this gem of a place. We sat on the patio and had a great lunch. Quinton "Q" was our server and was awesome. Very personable and on point for service. Next time we are in Raleigh we will be stopping here. The food was fresh and the restaurant was clean. If he is available ask for "Q". He will give you great service.

I cannot believe that I have missed this place for so many years. I love the atmosphere and the decor. Food was delicious and the beer was cold.

Got here right as the opened at 11 and the food was great along with great service. They've got a great selection of draft beers and other adult beverages.
Their half rack of BBQ ribs were great, wish I had gotten a full rack.
