New China Chef

I love this place! As a NY transplant, it's been very hard to find good Chinese food with the depth of flavor I remember from up north. New China Chef comes very close to that nostalgic NY flavor. Yuki and her team are friendly and keep the restaurant spotless. Keep up the great work!

This has been our go-to for Chinese takeout for 2 years and counting.
Every meal we've tried has been great. We love that you can modify the level of spicy or those who don't want it and for those (like me) who really like spicy.
If you think every takeout location is the same, you should try New China Chef. You'll be delighted!
Note: You can't order online if it's within 1 hour before closing, you'll need to call and she will take great care of you!

I love this place… I drive all the way from Raleigh d/t the quality of food being fresh, authentic and good flavor. Best crab Rangoons, Singapore Mei Fun, Kung Pao chicken, House fried rice and so on!!

I knew something was different when I saw a Chinese restaurant with a 4.5 rating on Google. The norm for these places is about a 3.5 to 4 - if they are really good. First thing that surprised me when I went in at 2 on a Tuesday there were 9 full tables and 1 open which I promptly grabbed. The quality of the food that hit the table was literally on par with Red Dragon in Raleigh, voted Downtowner Best many years running(this isn't sponsored I swear lol). The grilled peppers and onions that came with it were fresh and large, not like the pre diced stuff that come with so many meals at restaurants like this. I got the Hunan Beef, very spicy as they told me it would be, and delicious! The beef didn't come in a pile of gelatinous sauce like the other places. The beef was tender. I have a habit of getting multiple spicy mustard and soy sauce packets for the food at these places but here it was totally unnecessary. Food was perfectly seasoned.and they weren't afraid of flavor. Immigrant family living the American Dream, they take their business and their customer service very seriously. I never write reviews l, but for this place the dining experience demanded it! When I am in Apex, I will be eating here!

I've been to my fair share of Chinese Take-Out locations across the country and I thought I had the best one in Apex picked out for over 10 years...I was wrong. This place is super friendly, reliable, their dishes are authentic and feel more homemade than other locations in the area. They also have some off menu dishes like their Mu Shu that really hits the spot. Bottom line: this is my family's go to Chinese takeout spot.

I usually get chicken teriyaki and it's pretty good and inexpensive, but the woman running the counter is the driving force behind this place. Very fast and friendly.

Best Chinese take out in the area. Fast and friendly. Food is always delicious and satisfying. My only complaint is they seemed to have removed the Ho Fun from the menu in the past year. Beef Ho Fun was one of my favorites and I'm sad to see it go.

Excellent Chinese food option in Apex. We have been ordering from here for years. They are consistently good with any of the dishes we have ordered. Our go-to options are the fried dumplings, spring rolls, lo mien, and Kung Poa. They also have great wonton soup and egg rolls.

Had sweet and sour pork here for lunch twice. Both times it was perfect! The freshest best fried rice I've ever had. Even the sweet and sour sauce is better than everywhere else. Eat here!!

My family moved here nearly 3 years ago from NJ. You can get great Chinese food nearly anywhere in the tri-state area, but I quickly learned that's not the case in the RTP area. I have tried numerous Chinese restaurants in Cary/Apex/Holly Springs in search of anything close to what I could get up North. I've gotten multiple dishes from New China Chef and everything has been great. I can't recommend this place enough.

In the 5 years we have lived in the area this is always our go to. We have tried some other options but always come back to this place. It is delicious and is our absolute favorite. Highly recommend the fried pork dumplings and wonton soup!

Best take-out Chinese food in the area. The dumplings, in particular, are a very good value compared to similar restaurants.

I’ve eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants over the years and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best fast casual Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. The service is great and the food is always good. Their crab rangoons are a must

It been a while since I've had some good Chinese. But this place is delicious, spicy, flavorful. Pork fried rice on point!
