Enjoyed a bourbon flight and a wonderful meal at The Oak last weekend. Really liked their home blend of bourbon and a great value, wish they sold it by the bottle. Everyone's food was delicious and the portions are generous.

100/10 experience, especially if you like Whiskey! The service staff are all super friendly and welcoming - from your assigned server, to the host at the door, to servers just walking by. S/o to Justin, btw. He was an amazing bartender and gave me a complete run down of every whiskey I tried. I left with a ton of new info and most importantly a new fav whiskey! The lamb sliders and Mac was amazing. The flavors were amazing and the quality of the lamb was great. Such a nice spot to stumble upon. Can’t wait to bri my some friends back!

We had a lovely dinner with drinks. Our server, Tyler, was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the bourbons available. He made us feel at home. We had a bourbon flight, Trouble in Paradise, and Mother’s Milk…all delightful. The house salad with chicken was a good sized portion for sharing and the birria tacos and the bourbon sliders were decadent. Definitely planning to return the next time we visit Raleigh.

My wife and I chose The Oak for our date night and it was a great decision. Our server Tyler should be lauded for his spectacular service and knowledge not only of the food menu but also with the drink selections. This experience has made it easy to share with friends and family which we plan on bringing on our next visit to The Oak. Thank you!

Celebrated Valentine's Day here with my bourbon loving honey. Food was delicious and my old fashions were to DIE for!! The service was attentive, prompt and friendly! It isn't cheap, but worth every cent! I wish they had one closer to Fuquay!! Hopefully will be back for another future occasion!

We went here for my husbands birthday last night and all I can say is WOW! This was likely the best meal I’ve ever had in Raleigh. I got the Beef Wellington (which was spectacular), my husband split the tomahawk steak with a friend, another friend ordered the burger, and they were all so impressed. We also ordered one of all of the sides and four orders of the rolls(yes, 4🤤). The service was great. Our server, John, came by just the right about of times and was extremely knowledgeable regarding the food and drinks.

They also brought out peanut butter cheesecake for my husbands birthday and my gosh. It was so decadent!!

All in all, this was well worth the money and hype. We will definitely be back (soon, I hope!!)

I think I will have dreams about the Oak's mac n' cheese forever. It's seriously THAT good. I went with a large party, and they were absolutely phenomenal. I tried about 5 different dishes, and each one was seriously delicious. I have never had beet dip since I'm not a huge fan of beets, but the Oak's beet dip is truly something worth trying. I will say some of the portion sizing seemed a bit disproportionate to pricing and other dishes in comparison. I was surprised that the mac n' cheese as a side dish was way more filling and bigger in comparison price point wise to the risotto as my main entree. Also, they didn't have as many non-alcoholic drink choices as I would have liked, such as lemonade. But everything else was absolutely superb, and I will definitely make sure to come back to the Oak whenever I am in the area again.

Awesome service !! I love the fact that mostly everything is made from scratch. I had a group of 4 and was seated in a timely manner. I love places where individuals enjoy what they do and it shows.
The previous owner made it a great experience. I plan to be back to try the flights.

I cannot say enough great thing about The Oak!! We got the Birria tacos to start and they were amazing, the perfect blend of savory and spice. The drinks were fantastic, the Pirates Garden was the BEST cocktail I've had in a long time🍹💕
For dinner we had the pork shoulder and sea bass. The pork shoulder was served over a bed of delicious & creamy Mac n cheese and the Brussel sprouts... the entire dish was mouth watering. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!

Loved going here! Everything was exceptional! We came with some friends to celebrate Christmas. The service was top notch, the wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. The sprouts and cheese fries- so delicious! The house bourbon was outstanding. I got the New York strip with mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the goat cheese mashed potatoes were exquisite! We will definitely be back

Food 10/10! Service 10/10! Drinks 10/10! Staff 10/10. Absolutely enjoyed my food and drink experience. I was disappointed about the overall aesthetic on the inside! The vibe from the outside is much different than the inside and my expectations were high! The inside gives food hall vibes which was disappointing! I was hoping for sophisticated leathers and amber lighting! The chairs in my personal opinion were uncomfortable. Very little interior thought was put into the overall experience! The food however…very good! I love to support local. I will be back soon.

I just happened to stumble across this place while looking for a unique dining experience for some friends visiting Raleigh. The Oak kitchen was beyond 5 stars, let's start with the atmosphere, it was such a relaxed place to have an intimate evening. The music was set at a great volume for background noise and to hear it but not have it drown out conversation at the table. The lighting was low, but gives an excellent ambiance and vibe to the place focusing on their large bourbon selection. Speaking of drink selection their house crafted spirits are all amazing each unique and full of flavor. My guest got the Oak old fashioned and I tried thir house Gin and tonic, as well as the 86. All of these drinks were so well balanced and flavorful without being over powered by the alcohol used in them. My guest asked the server what made his Old Fashioned have such a unique taste and our server Trevor informed him he had used a special dark walnut bitter for him in the drink. He had picked up that my guest was looking for something unique in his drink. Trevor was a fantastic as well as the rest of the staff our drinks consistently filled and our table checked regularly for drinks and feedback on everything. The table talked over what each of us were going to order so we started with a delicious Civiche and the house nachos with Brisket and both were amazing. They were a great precedent to our meal, the table ordered the braised pork shoulder with homemade mac n cheese, and fried brussel sprouts a flavorful balanced meal of southern comfort the pork is tender and shredded with a ample amount of sauce, the fried brussel sprouts are a unique take that is crunch yet soft at the same time the sauce drizzled across them is a sweet little twist that give them a unique taste, and the mac n cheese is a hearty full flavored mix of cheese and cream. The Oak smash on the rosemary brioche bread is fantastic the patties of Angus beef were well seasoned and cooked perfectly to retain moisture and flavor. We got the bourbon slides and the used of smoked Gouda with the Angus patty and onion jam were so well balanced with each bite you could get a little warmth from the fresh black pepper, but not over powering. Finally the last item we got was the lamb sliders, and let me say this was probably my favorite item out of everything I tried. The use of whipped feta and chow chow on a perfectly seasoned perfectly cooked lamb burger just put it on a whole new level. I am not a huge lamb fan, but this slider gave me a new perspective on it. Overall I will say this has been one of my best experiences in Raleigh since moving here and the The Oak, Kitchen has made a customer for life, if you have not tried them I promise you it will be an experience you will never forget.

Fantastic food! The romaine salad was awesome. Charred romaine? Who’d have thought?! Drinks were also stellar and decently priced (around $12).

Food was good, the shrimp tapas is great. Ordered NY strip that was good. Chef extracted as much flavor of that steak as he could but I'd love it if they had a ribeye!
List of bourbons to match best of the best bars in town. Kudos to the spicy Wild Turkey selection and old fashioned. Servers were probably the best in town (and I've been to many bourbon bars). Everything excellent. Recommend and I'll be back!!

Everything about the Oak is great! I was visiting my sister from out of town and we decided to do dinner at the Oak Friday evening. From the time I walked in to the time I left, I was treated with the best customer service, friendliness and welcoming nature of the staff. The food was AMAZING, Glenn and Laurel are a whole vibe and the best bartenders, they are super fun and make sure your glass is never empty. They also make sure you have ample water for hydration. Now let’s talk about the plants. I am a new plant mom and fell in love with the Monstera plant! Great atmosphere, positive vibes and good food. You must check out the Oak and the bone marrow dish with the bourbon luge!

You won't be disappointed!!! First the bar is where to eat hands down. Glenn the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable!

For food we got the pretzel....cheese was delicious. Got the sprouts.....so amazing!!! But the hit was the Adobo Bone Marrow. I am lucky but this was just total goodness in every bite.

Finally got a whiskey flight....the New Yorker. Here is what we got
Black dirt, sweet smell, spice on the tongue but it much burn in the throat

Hill Rock, woody smell and taste on the tongue, no burn in the throat

Widow Jane, aged 10 yrs, deep okay smell and taste, very unique flavor

Must stop and eat here!!!!

If you’re looking for a cool, upscaled casual spot for dinner or a date. This place is a must. Our waiter was so knowledgeable on different types of bourbon/whiskey so of course we did whiskey flights. The food is out of this world. We got the deviled egg spread, Mac and cheese, sliders and more. The braised pork shoulder is a MUST. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Food, spirits, and service are of high focus here.

Immediately the atmosphere of The Oak is of course rustic while modern and simple. Dark tones with actual oakwood full the surrounding designs. Seating is available around dinner time and easily accessible.

Service is inviting and cheerful. Shawn of 8 years serving here knows his bourbons thoroughly to include the bios of the distillery owners and their individual processes and tastes. As an amateur he helped me decide a flight for a sweet, smokey, and a local.

My wife and her friend easily chose their entrees, even with my wife's bariatric minimal diet. Serving time for food was not instant, however plenty of signage reminds customers that everything is scratch made and made with love. They weren't kidding. So much explosive flavor with everything from the kid's steak fries to BBQ Brussel sprouts to salmon filets and forged burgers. Exquisite. I was definitely filled to the gills with leftovers to take home.

Now cons to take into consideration would have to be pricing. It's definitely not a cheap date, but you are for sure paying for quality is money is not an option. Additionally as a military service member they did not have a discount available, which as an establishment near military areas I was rather surprised by not necessarily upset.
The experience was well worth it and I worry definitely return.
