Salem Baptist Church, founded in 1840, is the host of the 2019 Baptist Adult Hand-Bell Festival held on March 30, 2019.
The steeple on the floor next to the old wooden sign was the church steeple from 1934 to 1961.

The church is handicap friendly with plenty of parking.

I felt welcome and at home from the first visit to Salem. I found out about the church through their amazing preschool program and have been going to church here for over 2 years now. While the church has gone through a lot of changes like many have through COVID, my Bible Fellowship Group has continued to meet virtually every week and I've been connected to another monthly in-person Bible Study with other young moms too. Members are expected to be active here which I love and discipling our children has always been a priority. It's a wonderful family church with many opportunities to get involved in sharing God's love with our community.

Salem Baptist Church is a wonderful, welcoming, and Loving group of Christian brothers and sisters. The members are good servants for all ages. The youth program is very energetic and includes many different avenues for young people to learn about the Love of Christ and learn the Bible. The music program is a great experience for all ages from 6 years old to the senior choir. The ministers, both professional and lay, teach the word of God as well as I have experienced. The kitchen provides very tasty meals. If you want to serve, learn about Christ, find good fellowship, worship, or be Loved. Salem Baptist Church is for you.

Our family has been at Salem Baptist Church for 6 years now. It has a long history in the community, and a good reputation. They have a 1/2 day preschool which has been a help to so many in the Apex/Cary/Holly Spring area. We are impressed with the multi-generation, family atmosphere, and the caring pastoral staff.

Services are traditional (8:30 am Sunday), blended (11:00 am Sunday) and contemporary (6:00 pm Saturday). We appreciate these options.

The music program is very strong and covers many ages, children to seniors.

There is a very strong youth & student program with great leaders. There is also a strong senior ministry.

Two unique ministries Salem has is a Special Needs ministry (with their own building on campus - Building A). They also have an ESL ministry and classes. More and more there are internationals attending. It's wonderful to see so many different cultures.

Salem just celebrated their 175th anniversary and it was such a great year of remembrance. Salem is definitely in a golden period right now.

Salem Baptist Church has been wonderful for our family. It has a strong Christ-centered foundation and offers a lot of programs for all members of the family to worship God and fellowship with other believers. Our children have especially enjoyed the Awana and Youth Group programs, while my wife and I have enjoyed our Bible Fellowship Group. We have found a great church home at Salem.

What a blessing to be a part of the Salem church family. This is truly a Bible based church where the Bible is our guide in all that we do. At Salem I have been a part of Youth and Single Adult activities as a parent/leader, participated in several international missions trips and experienced worship and Bible study. From the ministers to the lay leaders to the church members, this is a special place. Again, the best way to say it is that we are blessed to be at Salem Baptist.

Scripture based preaching from youth to adult level, numerous opportunities to study God's Word in small groups, many ways to participate in evangelism locally and abroad as well as discipleship. As an aside, they have a fantastic pre-school -- our daughter attended a couple years and made lifelong connections with other children as well as adult teachers.

Wonderful contemporary service on Saturday evening at 6pm, beautiful classic hymns Sunday at 8:30am and a blend of contemporary and traditional Sunday at 11:00am. Common theme through all of them is the desire to share Jesus with others and to grow in the grace and knowledge of His truth.

Family friendly, welcoming and most importantly Christ centered.

Our family has been members at Salem for 21 years. We love the people, the staff and I am so thankful that God lead us to a Christ centered Church home. Both my girls have grown up at Salem and we are thankful for the wonderful leaders that have worked with them through out the years. If your new to the area please come and visit with us, I think you will find a place you can call your home church too!

I have served in several churches in different roles ranging from youth pastor to ministry volunteer. I am originally from another state and moved with my wife here to continue our education and start a family. I started serving in a Saturday night casual worship service called the Hill. I can say without a doubt, I have never felt so loved by a church staff or Christian community more than the one here at Salem. If you feel unloved, unwanted, mistreated, forgotten, or lonely, this church is a place to be welcomed and encouraged in the gospel of Jesus. I am beyond grateful to be a part of what all God is doing here!

My wife and I have been at Salem Baptist now for 13 years. We prayed for God to send us a church family that would embrace us and help us to grow in our faith. Salem did just that as a loving body of Christ. We strive at Salem to reach others in the community with the Gospel of Christ and as long as we continue to do that I believe he will continue to bless our church and community.

Been attending here for almost three years. Beautiful church, great music and worship, very friendly people and solid Bible teaching. We've been tremendously encouraged by the people of the church who not only teach but share the love of Jesus everyday. If you are looking for a church home, a place for your kids and you to learn and grow, to find the love of Christ through fellow believers who support and pray for each other this is the place.

A church is more than a gathering place or a social club. The Bible describes the church as the body of Christ. While no church is a perfect embodiment of this description, Salem is filled with Bible believers who are striving to serve Christ, grow in faith, and serve the community. My wife, my children, and I found Salem to be a welcoming fellowship over twenty years ago, and we are still part of the Salem family. What a wonderful church. Have attended for over 15 years. Very welcoming to new-comers. My husband and I have been attending Salem for nearly 8 years and absolutely love that the Gospel is preached unapologetically and that the fellowship is vibrant. Since having children we have benefitted from the strong children's ministry as well. There really is something at Salem for everyone.

Recently started attending. Dr. Blanton is the primary reason for my visit to this church. He was pastor at the church I attended in Lake Norman prior to his retirement and a great pastor. With only a few Sundays in attendance, I am very excited about learning more about Salem and its members.

Salem Baptist is a great church with a very friendly vibe. It is a place that I am proud to say I attend. The people there go out of their way to make you feel at home. If you have ever wanted to try out a church then this is the place to start. I can't recommend it enough.

Salem is a God blessed Church where the Holy Spirit lives in the hearts of our members. Loving our Lord Jesus Christ because he loved us first. Our arms are wide open and we welcome you to come and feel the love.
