Sophie's Grill And Bar

The head waiter is very nice and super helpful. He I also the barman. I love the food here, the way it looks inside and outside, the decorations, the heat inside. The bar is large and the seats comfortable. Balkanic food is great. They have salads for me and vegetables and fruit as I am vegan-ish. The manager was also nice. We have awesome parties for Romanian-Americans and their families at east 2-3 times per year here. It is super beautiful and inviting inside. The bathroom for the ladies is not only super clean, but beautiful, with pretty shoes collections and pictures from movies and music inspired. There is a small stage where I can sing and play guitar one of these upcoming parties with my friends.

This is our second visit here and both trips our food has been absolutely delicious! Our favorites are the Schnitzel and the beef stroganoff! Their appetizers are just as good with freshly made pierogis and figs! Must tries… you won’t be disappointed! And the service is impressive with the Head Waiter Simeon taking care of you, you cannot go wrong. Worth the trip and you won’t leave hungry!

My new favorite place! Eggplant appetizer was incredible and unlike anything we've ever had...varied menu with expansive variety--cozy seating, tvs (if you need that) but also with a quaint feel .Simone was an amazing waiter and one of the best we've had in a long time. Highly recommend Sophie's for date night, family night, salsa night or poker night!!

The food is awesome. There is a lot of flavor at the same time seems like home food. We got a fig appetizer extremely tasty with lots of flavors. Simeon the head waiter is very nice and super helpful.

Went here with 2 friends for the first time and the food, service and atmosphere were all excellent! I can't wait to go back and bring my husband so he can experience it too. We shared some appetizers and I had the Hungarian Goulash. It was delicious! Soupy, with very tender beef. It was perfect for a cold, winter day! Simeon was our waiter. He's an excellent server with a great personality! We will be back!

Great meal, outstanding service. I had the Hungarian Goulash. Just the right amount of spice and chunks of tender beef. My wife had the vegetable lasagna, she loved it. Portion sizes were just right. Our waiter Simeon took great care of us even though the restaurant was packed. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This place was rented out for a private meeting a large group of us had. Kudos to the person that made this decision, as hubby and I had never been. The service was amazing, the food was totally awesome and the prices were pretty good. Even though its an hr. drive from our house, we will definitely be going back!!

Simeon was amazing. Experience that he provided for us is attentive and he is the person that takes care of guests and the restaurant. Ester European food was outstanding! Servise is 12 from 10. Enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommended!!!

We've been meaning to try Sophie's for some time now, and finally got there for lunch on a cold and cloudy Sunday. The head waiter, Simeon, is terrific. Quite a character, in a good way. Entertaining, knowledgeable, and great service. The food is high-quality and delicious. We enjoyed the Pierogis as an appetizer - perfectly fried with a delicate stuffing. Dalmatian Chicken Pasta was first-rate, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Goulash. We'll try the wine list when we return for dinner, and there are many other items on the menu that I'll try. We had a wonderful and relaxing afternoon!

Sophie's is fantastic! Simeon, the head waiter, was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was attentive, charming and funny! We stopped at Sophie's while traveling through Cary on our way home from a trip. We would definitely go back again! The food was delicious and we enjoyed our visit to Sophie's.

I had the Chicken Wine Kebab and my husband had the Salmon Nikoloff. We shared the Triple Chocolate cake for dessert. The food was delicious!

Went here on Thanksgiving for an impromptu lunch, one of the few places that was open. We absolutely loved our stews, served piping hot in clay pots. Staff was lovely and accommodative. TVs on every wall, a decent place to watch a game.

I'll be coming here again, soon! Very good food beautifully presented. My order of Slavonian Paprikash has a delicious depth of flavors with a slightly tomato-ish broth, plentiful chicken, and dollop of cooling cream. All I really want to tell you is that it was so good and I can't wait to try more. Great seats, easy parking.

One night, I went on a lone food adventure looking for a different scenery to eat and grab a beer. I was not expecting to walk into Sophie’s bar & grill to be greeted respectfully with a high class server, Simeon. From the moment I entered this Bulgarian cultured bar I felt like I traveled to a different country but still had a home like sensation. The menu was unique and the very specific detail Simeon gave on each item from the food to the drinks made it exponentially pleasing. I had the lamb burger and Hungarian goulash. Both dishes must have been made with love because they were really good ! I highly Recommend everyone to come here and try it out whether you’re alone or with some friends it’s a great place overall to hangout and have etiquette food service.

It was our first time at Sophie’s. We purposefully haven’t been because the previous restaurant went down hill.

We were surprised how great the food, service and entertainment was.
Heather Rogers was the singer and guitarist who performed while we were eating. She was terrific! It was a little too loud but the food made up for it.

We will definitely go back to try their many dishes!

Amazing service! And the food was incredible. This is hands down the best Balkan food I've ever had in the US.
There were also a few different options for Rakija which I thoroughly enjoyed. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Went to Sophie's for the first time last night, and it was such a unique experience! Simeon was a wonderful host to us and was so helpful giving us suggestions & explanations of the various Bulgarian dishes. Everything we tried was delicious! For the less adventurous palates, there's also a burger/ bar menu type of food so everyone in the family can enjoy this place!

This place has something for everyone! Great food! Great Service! Interesting atmosphere. Our server, Simeon made our experience lots of fun! He helped me choose the perfect wine to pair with my dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely phenomenal. We as foodies were taken aback of how wonderful and authentic the food and service, Dali made it an absolute treat, attentive to service and information that one would find in upscale NYC restaurants, rare find he and this establishment is in the town of Cary. Simply put...the Georgian wine, Croatian and Bulgarian food. Out of sight delicious. Must try the Cabbage rolls, stuffed peppers and Chicken Schnitzel....and the Mushroom melt.

Friends and family always have a GREAT time at Sophie's Grill & Bar. We enjoy delicious meals, live music, and their special events. Owner and employees are committed and really put their heart and soul into creating an inviting atmosphere. My favorite dish is the goulash and stuffed cabbage. Also, when you arrive, and see everyone up and dancing, it is such a positive experience. I highly recommend spending an enjoyable time at Sophie's!

We've dined at Sophie's for Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day. Both times the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The head waiter Simeon was very personable and attentive and made sure we had a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be coming back again!
