The was a good museum. The displays were nicely setup and informative. The movie was really nice and informative on Oliver and Stan. A small gift shop as well. I highly recommend if you are in the area.

The lady docent with the pleasent" German " accent was very informative and a pleasure to talk to, the museum, though small, had many interesting items and much info on Laural and Hardy and the history of the city of Harlem, Georgia

Very nice place and interesting to see that there was a famous person from this little town. I love to explore small towns since moving to Georgia, lots of history. The lady in the from was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the theater. If you're ever in Harlem stop by the museum then drive to Wrens Georgia and eat at Peggy's. It will be a nice little day of exploring.

This is a small museum half dedicated to the history of Harlem and half dedicated to Oliver Hardy. It’s not hard to find and the manager there was very friendly and helpful. I found out quite a bit about Oliver Hardy that I didn’t know. After driving by the sign on the highway many times, we stopped. It was worth the stop. As a bonus there are a few small shops near the museum to browse in. The city hosts an Oliver Hardy Festival every year, 34 years now, that I hope to attend.

An interest tip through the wayback machine. TIL about the famous duo. I saw a few names, few today would remember.
Phil Silvers, Fred Gwynne, Tina Louise, Cesar Romero, Buster Keaton, all old time Hollywood

A fun stop!! What a delightful place preserving the memory of these two important funny men!! The lady working up front was so nice. My mother and I had a wonderful time looking at the collection of memorabilia. There is a theatre in the back playing the old shows. If you take the time to look in the cases there is really quite a lot of interesting things to see.

I love the nostalgia and the Laurel and Hardy information. My great uncle was the property master for the show, and I grew up with stories and memorabilia, so I love that my kids got a chance to experience it on the big screen and laugh!

This is a fun spot with community information as well as lots of Laurel & Hardy memorabilia. Plan an hour total to also view the movies in the theater.

Cozy museum that is well worth the visit. The Laurel and Hardy Museum shares it's home with a celebration of Harlem, Georgia's local history. You'll find your standard old photos and newspaper clippings (which is nice), but there are a few head-turning items of weirdness that'll grab your attention as well.

Excellent facility. Much larger and nicer than I expected since they moved locations. Staff was excellent , knowledgeable and friendly. More treasured relics and information on Laurel & Hardy than you can imagine. Comfy little theater playing classics of the iconic team. Also an area dedicated the history of Harlem, Georgia as well. Highly recommended.

Very very cool place if old comedy is your thing. Tons of memoribilia. I was told that every item in there had been donated by people from all over the world. And they show movies in the back room.

We loved this little museum! Martin was super friendly and had great information! They have information about their town Harlem as well as Laurel & Hardy (who was born there). A short movie and photo ops too! Glad we decided to stop. Everyone we met were super friendly and helpful. Big celebration in Oct.

What a charming place! It's remarkable that this small city has managed to create such an impressive collection of artifacts. I visited on the drive home following an overnight stay in Augusta, but only had thirty minutes to spend due to a longstanding commitment. I was a bit rushed, but still managed to see everything related to my favorite comedy team. An hour would be the preferred length of a visit. I especially enjoyed the photos of Hardy as a child and with his family as an adult. His sister looked just like him in women's clothes (minus the moustache)! Hours are M-Sa 10a-4p, and admission is free. They're grateful for donations. Harlem is a lovely small town with some beautiful older homes and a diverse shopping area. If you're visiting the Augusta area, I highly recommend a side trip to Harlem and the Laurel & Hardy Museum. You'll leave smiling.

My wife and I travel in our 5th wheel throughout the South and try to find small town Americana on our trips. This stop was a fantastic find. Nestled in the small town of Harlem Ga. this museum has a most impressive archive of Laurel and Hardy memorabilia. They have a small theater, insi1de the museum showing old classics. The museum has a section dedicated town history as well. We learned the town holds a Laurel and Hardy festival as well in October. We will return there next year for the festival.
