Stopped by here for lunch while driving thru Harlem. Cool atmosphere, located in a bed and breakfast style setting. Very polite staff. Kid friendly. Tables have paper coverings and our waitress encouraged our daughter to draw on the paper covering with the crayons they provided. That made us and our daughter very happy!
I ordered a Philly cheese steak with house chips and my wife got the chicken finger basket. My Philly was very good! Really enjoyed it. My wife said that the chicken fingers were just ok, but she knew ahead of time that they were not home Meade chicken fingers. We got the acorn bites as an appetizer and they were extremely good!

Definitely a lot more on the menu that we are going to try!

They saved me! I didn't know they made the fixings for my tea party bridal shower until my baker fell apart and I messaged Renee and they helped me with only a few days notice! Everyone was delighted with the look and taste of everything at the party! Thank you so much!!

I ordered their loaded potato soup and grilled cheese to go...the restaurant smelled so good when I walked in, and was very cozy and inviting. I also loved every bite of my food, was so flavorful and delicious, and was so comforting on this cold dreary day! Would definitely return!

Service was friendly and excellent. Food was freshly prepared. Great stop if you’re looking for down home food and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Acorn. I much rather enjoy a unique location such as this verses a chain restaurant. Love the history and atmosphere at the Acorn. I also enjoyed meeting “Opa”, the owner, and hearing his story.

I went for the iron chef competition. It was so fun! The restaurant is adorable, and the customer service is great. Watch your step in the parking lot; it's a historic property, so things aren't perfectly level.

We had the best breakfast! It was delicious, beyond reasonably priced, and a lot of food. We sat and spoke with the owners/staff for over and hour and they were so welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend The Acorn Restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. Also, if you are looking a place to stay, check out their website. It’s a bed and breakfast.

The atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant. They have such a variety of sweet treats to choose from, it keeps you coming back! Whether you stay and have a meal there or take it to go, you enjoy it either way. It's a pleasure and a treat.

We’ve lived here for over 2 years and I have been wanting to try the acorn that entire time. I am SO sad we waited. The food is good, home cooking. It is also inexpensive and family friendly. It’s not fancy food, so don’t go expecting anything extravagant. What is really great, is the environment. The waitress, Renee, and Oma, both sat and talked to us and were so incredibly friendly. We felt like a part of the family eating with them. We can’t wait to go back and try their dinner!

Lovely family run business. Had breakfast here with Renee and her mom and dad and other hotel guests from Dalton Ga. It was like sitting in the social hall while having a home cooked breakfast. My choice was for the Acorn eggs/ grits/ bacon and toast. The grits were perfectly cooked. With a creamy quality (milk?) The seasoning is a family secret- if you love the grits and ask nicely, they might give you a second helping! Bacon was crisp. Sour dough toast was great.

What a Wonderful family-owned, family-operated business, ran by some true patriotic Americans! The food is excellent, the service is even better, and you feel like family straight from the get-go.

Can't say enough great things about our experience here. We are so glad we found this gem of a family (and restaurant) as early as we did; we look forward to many years of frequenting their awesome establishment!

Found this place on Groupon and thankful I did! Lived in the area for years and now am just hearing about it. Took my mom out for her birthday lunch and it was amazing. The chicken minis basket was fantastic, the chipotle sauce on the side was so good too. If you’re in the area looking for a good spot this is definitely the place

We just ate here for the first time today. The homemade ranch dressing was very delicious. I like the extra effort to provide natural dressing alternatives rather than buying from a store. That really says a lot about the character of the people who work here! Service was excellent and we really enjoyed the food. I would surely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This restaurant gives the feeling that you're going to eat at your grandma's home. With country-style meals at an affordable price, this spot is welcoming. Get to know your waiter/waitress and expect a delightful conversation with the owners. Modest and rural, appreciate this gem!

Everything is homemade! This is a family run B&B with an excellent restaurant that is open to the public. We met several family members and each one was just as friendly and welcoming as can be. They are rightfully proud of the food...many dishes are original recipes! Definitely go out of your way to find this gem!

In one word? AMAZING! They have an Iron Chef competition the first Friday of each month. Tonight's secret ingredient was Tea. The imagination was good, the food was great and the fun was SPOT ON! A wonderful place to eat. I encourage you to pop in for a visit!

Awesome food. Everything we had was great and homemade. wish i lived closer. Would go there all the time. It was worth the drive. Very friendly staff and service, plus awesome grits. Im not a big grits fan, but love the grits here
