Driftwood Lodge

This place is dated … it’s not going to look like a room at a Fairfield for example. The exterior is really well maintained and nicely painted. The view of the water was of course fantastic. The rooms open on the back of the room to a courtyard on the bottom so you can’t sleep with a door open just so you’re aware. There are a lot of areas to wander around and sit at and it’s a quick walk to the sand. The room was exceptionally clean … when you see dated decor it doesn’t inspire “confidence” but these rooms smelled clean.. no mildew smell and they WERE clean. I would stay there again.

This hotel is quaint, family oriented, and budget friendly. Between the tiki bar, playground, pools, games, and daily activities the whole family stays entertained and relaxed. The entire staff are wonderful. The Driftwood Lodge has grown on us. Not only will we be returning but we will also be recommending to friends and family!!

Driftwood Lodge is one of the last family owned places on Panama City Beach. It's clean, reasonable, and about a quarter mile from Pier Park, the fishing pier, and numerous good places to eat. I've been coming here for at least 30 years.

Awesome people here, housekeeping is always on spot to clean and give towels for our room. People at the front desk are so nice and helpful, really good experience all the way around. Perfect rooms and we've stayed in several over the years! Close to everything if you don't want to drive. Can't say enough about driftwood and the osprey.

Love this place, the family is so sweet, the hotel has so much to do here, have returned for many years for thunder beach and will continue doing so, you guys are the best!!!

This place is awesome. Super kid friendly as well as adult friendly.
The rooms were perfect for what it was...a beachfront hotel. Bathroom was on the small side but was perfect for our family of four.
Room service was amazing as well. Super friendly and cleaned our room perfect each day.
The view couldn't be beat. 20 steps from the beach. Plenty of parking across the street if need be.
Every single employee here was super nice and very knowledgeable. Always was greeted and asked if we needed anything. Much better than any corporate place in town.
They have everything you could possibly need. Made friends with the guests, many of whom were repeat of the driftwood for many years (I can see why)
Overall this place was nothing short of amazing. We even extended our stay an extra day. We will DEFINITELY be back next summer.

Love that this is a family owned property with cabana rooms right on beach level. Everything you need for a week and all staff are fantastic from office to grounds keepers. I keep going back.

The rooms are a little outdated but are very clean. The location is perfect for everything on the strip. Our service was wonderful if they came to clean our room daily and the grounds were kept immaculately

The owner and staff are all genuinely friendly! They provide plenty of activities for families that our kids truly enjoy! I love that, because it is not a massive resort like most others in PCB, you have more room to yourself while on the beach. The rooms were clean and we had a consistent influx of clean towels, sheets, etc. My *only* complaint would have to be the beds. Unfortunately, they are quite uncomfortable. I believe we may just bring an air mattress next time to solve that problem. Again, overall this is a fantastic, family-friendly place to stay while in Panama City!

We came here after checking In at a different hotel earlier that was very unsanitary. I am so glad that we found this gem. The reception at the front desk was amazing and took us to several rooms before we made our reservation. That aline made me live this hotel. The Driftwood was clean, close to the beach, had amazing and kind staff and my husband loved the little TiKi Bar. My little girl loved the toddler pool and splash pad. We plan to come back and stay much longer.

Great hotel!! We had booked two rooms, one for us and one for our kids. The staff upgraded our room for free so we could have two rooms conjoined and a kitchen. The hotel is clean and well kept which was very important to me. You can walk out your door and be right on the beach. Super close to many restaurants and shops. We walked most places. All amenities were amazing. Bar was fantastic, right on the beach. Heated pool was available to us which was well kept. Cant say enough good things about my experience! Our family had a blast!

After having another reservation cancelled at another property and left with no where to stay, we found this property.
The rooms are excellent, clean and up to date. 2 pools and a splash pad are great for families and plenty of beach area that isn't crowded at all. Dont forget the pool side tiki bar for food and drink.
The staff and owners are extremely friendly and the prices are very reasonable. We will be return customers.
Now i am glad the 1st property messed up because WE JUST FOUND OUR NEW VACATION HOME!!!!!

I was nervous about what we would find when we arrived based on the fact this place was so affordable but it didn't disappoint! Beach front ocean view, clean room, clean maintained heated pool, hot tub, beach tiki bar, and lots of places to lounge and relax. The staff was friendly and made sure that anything we needed was taken care of. We will definitely be back.

I've been coming to the Driftwood for 20 plus years. It's a family owned place sandwiched between high rises. Its right on the gulf of Mexico. One block from fishing pier & Pier Park shopping. There are many restaurants close by, along with Walmart & Target. A great reasonably priced place to stay.

Fantastic service. Rooms cleaned every day. Daily activities to partake in. Daily deals. menu for the tiki bar. Coffee every morning in the lounge. It was one of the best stays I've had in Panama City Beach. Felt like they actually were here to make our stay as fantastic as possible. Location is perfect too. Most things are within walking distance from the rooms. I cant say enough good things about the Driftwood Lodge and Osprey. 5/5

We were very pleased with the hotel, which is a smaller two story building and an adjoining multiple story building. We enjoyed being so much closer to the beach than in the high rise complexes. It is also within walking distance of Pier Park. The front office and the housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. The suite we had was spacious, recently updated and very clean. The entire facility was clean and well kept up. Their website represents them very accurately.

Very well maintained relaxed resort. Owners treat guest like family. Easy walk to the hub of Pier Park for entertainment and restaurants, which we did several times daily.
Only downside is that there's no breakfast on site, so you're either cooking or taking a walk/ drive every morning.

Best place to stay, friendliest and most helpful staff. The staff are always smiling and waving. They were great with engaging with my Grandkids 9,7, and 6, they took time to talk with all the kids, no matter what job the staff was doing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering a trip to Panama City Beach!!
