The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House

I was really happy with this spot. Perhaps the best dinner I've had on this trip. The crab stuffed shrimp were awesome and the firecracker shrimp appetizer was also very good. True, it was not an inexpensive meal (as I've seen mentioned in other reviews) so if you're trying to save money in a tourist town, you might need to look somewhere else. For the money spent, I was impressed with The Back Porch and would definitely recommend it.

Great restaurant located across the street from the beach and the pier. Good selection of menu items including fresh seafood caught from the local area. They also have a bar that serves drinks as well as an upstairs area that has a great view of the beach and pier. Currently the upstairs is being renovated but will be open soon. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a place to try out if you are in the area.

Pretty great food, great service and nice atmosphere. Up visiting from SWFL. Fish tacos were outstanding. Amberjack sandwich nice zip. The orange cake is to die for. Happy Hour was a nice added bonus. Cheap appetizers and drinks.

Sat outside on the patio, beautiful Breeze and sunshine. My wife had the tuna salad, which was excellent, and someone else had the gumbo, which was very hot and filling.

The food was awesome. Service was very fast and the servers were very friendly. The serving portions are awesome. The price may be slightly high, but what else would you expect from this kind of location? If you like seafood then this is a good place to visit

One of the pricey places in Panama City Beach but the PERFECT choice for my husband and I celebrating our 1 year anniversary. The crab legs were seasoned PERFECTLY. Per usual, the seafood is to die for. As far as the atmosphere goes, it's a romantic, cozy place. Love the indoor pergola and lights strung throughout it. Definitely the most beautiful restaurant I'll ever go to. And the food is probably in my top 3 list for Panama City. Points for being able to see the beach from there and easy walking to other Pier Park places. If you're looking for a place in Panama City Beach, I HIGHLY recommend. Just come with a little extra $$$

The food was AWESOME, the waiters were really nice, and the atmosphere was nice and chill. Music and just a clean place. I recommend the shrimp Po boy. It is a little hard to eat, so I just eat the shrimp. Then, I take the fries and put them into the buns. After, I eat it like a sandwich. It tastes really good.

My fiancé and I dined there last night the food was amazing we both ordered the surf and turf…our ribeyes were cooked perfectly, the snow crab legs and grilled shrimp were the best we’ve ever had out of all our PCB dining experiences…our server Todd was very friendly and attentive…food came out quickly! Todd definitely made our Dining experience the most enjoyable! Will absolutely be back!!!

We love going to the Back Porch! It is quite expensive though so with 3 kids, we only come for special occasions. The food is delicious every time we go. The portions are pretty good size, customer service has been good for us every time we went as well. I recommend getting the key lime pie for dessert!

Came here to satisfy a seafood craving on New Year's Eve. We had a great time! The two of us got a full seafood platter and a Tuna Shrimp Salad. Both of them were solid!

The seafood platter had fried oysters, shrimp, and scallops with amazing fresh taste and maintained a nice texture. On the other hand, the fish was a bit dry and bland, while the crab cake just didn't taste very good. The other problem I had with the platter was the price - it wasn't worth paying 40+ bucks for how much seafood we got (shown in pics).

The Tuna and Shrimp salad tasted great! No complaints about the great dressing and well-cooked shrimp & tuna.

Have been to the Destin location many times and this was our first time in Panama City. Went on New Years Eve so we expected long wait times. OH how we were wrong! We had the BEST server we have ever had at any establishment. HANNAH offered the specials and we were not disappointed in the tuna special and New Years Eve drink special. She is definitely an asset to The Back Porch. The food was great, but her warm inviting service was even better. I don’t think I’ve ever said this before, but she made us feel like we were eating at our family’s home. Thank you Hannah for finishing off 2023 on such a great note! If you’re ever in Chicago, come visit! Happy 2024!

I don’t typically add reviews, but i feel it is necessary. Our waiter Frank… 🤪 went above and beyond! He helped walk us through our first oyster experience (they are good give them a try!), interacted with the kids, and had an amazing contagious positive attitude. He took the time to talk to us and was just really friendly. Waiters and waitresses are important as they can make a restaurant experience amazing or really bad. We had such a good experience we will be back for dinner! Ask for Frank!

Had dinner here and were so happy with the experience and food. 10/10 on the food, which was surprising considering other reviews. Can’t figure out why this place has low ratings. Happy hour drinks were bomb and food was some of the best I’ve ever had.

We saw reviews for here and they said to ask for Jessica A. We did and got lucky she was working. The food was amazing and so is she! I can see why people request her. I had the shrimp and scallops. Very good cooked perfectly. See you next time!

Hands down best place we've eaten at in PC! Cas was awesome, couldn't have asked for a better server. Food was heaven, the steak cut like butter and was seasoned to perfection.

Food was yummy and service was good. What more could you ask for? We were seated immediately and greeted within a few minutes of sitting down.

Overall great place to eat for seafood. Party of 4. Did reservations since it was going to be busy. It was very busy but got there and got seated withing 5 minutes. Waiter was very good. Great service, took great care of us. 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals spent over $80 without tip. Best place to eat so far on out trip to PCB. Recommend for sure.

Always one of my favorite places to eat at PCB. The food is fresh and the service has always been great as well!
