Candlewood Suites Panama City Beach Pier, an IHG Hotel

We stayed at Candlewood overnight last weekend (August) and we were beyond impressed at the rooms and services that the hotel offered! They offered free laundry for guests, a pool, an exercise room, and free coffee 24-hours a day. Our room (2 queens) was also exceptionally clean, large, and modern, with a stove, microwave, and full size fridge. The hotel staff were also very friendly when we checked in. We will definitely be back here again if we go to PCB in the future!

May 26 2024 First time staying here and it will get my return visits excellent place not far from beach “ short drive” . Rooms large and I said WOW when I first walked into my room it had a kitchenette and the bathroom was really large and clean . The entire place was clean . We arrived before check in time and was able to go to the pool and enjoy it while we waited which was so nice of them. While in the pool one of the workers there even came out there and put towels on the lounge chairs for us and I was not expecting that. Check in was a easy and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful even gave us a room key to get back into hotel from pool area before we were even checked in to our rooms since it was before normal check in time Love the place quiet at night and peaceful unlike hotels on Front Beach Road

Candlewood Suites isn’t your typical five-star luxury hotel, but it’s a solid choice for families needing space and practicality. We checked in with two teenagers, 13 and 16, and reserved a suite that comfortably accommodated all four of us. The suite had two large beds, a compact two-burner stove, a sink, and a full-sized refrigerator—a setup that screams "home away from home."

The air conditioner worked like a dream, cooling the room to a crisp chill that I really appreciated after a long day of exploration of Panama City Beach. The 15-foot ceiling gave the room an unexpectedly spacious feel, a welcome respite from the often cramped confines of budget accommodations.

The shower didn’t disappoint either. Hot water was instant and plentiful, a small luxury that makes a big difference. Our first-floor location was both a blessing and a curse; easy access to our car was convenient, but we had to ensure all entry points were secured.

The pool area, while a bit on the small side, was a nice touch. However, the water was warm, almost like bath water, which might not be ideal for a refreshing dip. And while they provided poolside towels, they were out, a minor hiccup in an otherwise pleasant stay.

In the grand tapestry of travel, Candlewood Suites offers a comfortable and practical option. It’s not the Ritz, but for a family on the go, it’s just about perfect. I’d stay here again, no question

Everything was great about our stay, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the location was very convenient. The staff was all very kind and helped us. There is no breakfast, but there is a pantry of items available for purchase. It’s also right across from a gas station so if you feel like walking over it’s very close.
I read a number of reviews on various hotels in town and settled with Candlewood because of their previous reviews. We found it to have everything we needed and it was a great place to stay.

Those who follow me know that I almost exclusively stay in IHG hotels, something that started when I traveled often for work. I have had very few problems with many nights stayed. The rooms are nice and the staff is great. The location, despite not being right on the beach, is convenient to everything. Tip: When you check in to a room, check the seems on the mattress to avoid little visitors, never a problem at an IHG hotel.

Wonderful location not far from everything. The rooms were clean and the full kitchen is always nice to have. No breakfast is a bummer but you can always use the kitchen and cook yourself if you're trying to pinch pennies. The only complaint was it was biker week and all I heard all day and night were loud bikes and louder music as it set right next to a gas station and they'd gather there plus many were guests so they'd come in and rev their engines beneath my window which became a nuisance quickly.

We are blown away at all the services offered. Free laundry, 2 burner stove in the kitchenette, dishwasher, apartment size refrigerator and even pots and pans and dishes in the room. Very clean in the entire place. Very impressed.

I don’t know why this hotel only has a 4.1 rating this hotel is so nice and clean. I haven’t had one bad experience and I got this hotel the day I got in PCB because of how disgusting my previous hotel was. This hotel was a life saver. Their pool is clean and it has a chair that lifts anyone with a disability into the water. They also have a small fitness room which is clean. Anyone at the front desk is polite and our room was very clean. Overall very happy with my stay so far!

I really enjoyed the mini vacation with my grandchildren. Nice room with kitchen all the dishes and silverware. The staff were very friendly. The beds were comfy, they love the swimming pool.

Now, this is a GREAT place to stay at. The rooms are huge with a lot of work space and are super clean and quiet. I got an awesome night's sleep 😴 💤 😴 💤 And the Team at the front desk did a wonderful job getting me checked into my room.

For the price, this place is fabulous. It's no-frills but it's clean & located conveniently. The front desk workers were very nice. This has been my experience with other Candlewood Suites locations as well. Definitely a top choice of ours.

We drove over 10 hours, got to the hotel and as soon as we got here we had issues, the tub stopper was broke and we had to fix it ourselves, the Wi-Fi barely works and it took us an hour to get it to connect and we are on the bottom floor (1st floor), as soon as we got here the people above us was running, jumping, stomping for over 2 hours, my husband went to the front desk and the person said they would “try” to find a number to call someone to handle it. That was almost 45mins ago and they are still running and stomping. Absolutely ridiculous.

UPDATE REVIEW: the front desk supervisor personally called me to the front desk to talk about the issues, she was was super nice and understanding, she talked with me and helped solve the issues and listened to the concerns. After the first night, it has been a wonderful stay, no problems. I feel like everything was handled very well and I’m really pleased. Yes there was problems at the beginning , but how they handled it speaks volumes. I appreciate them taking the time and effort to talk with me and the concern they showed. Fabulous customer service, Thank you!!!!

Stay last weekend because our 32th anniversary staff super friendly and courtesy. Hotel is like new, AC super cold and good even in hallway, peaceful, relax and quiet nights good for rest, beach is closed, short drive to all stores and rest, love the kitchenet. Our first time in town and hotel and definetly we want go again. We recommended 100 % thanks for all atentions ❤❤

Fantastic! The rooms are lovely, fully equipped with everything you'll need, comfortable and clean. The location CANNOT be beat. I travel quite often and haven't had a stay as satisfying as this hotel in about 2 years. Absolutely above and beyond my expectations.

The room was fantastic I didn't want to leave! Fully equipped kitchen, pet friendly, comfortable bed. Lamoya at the front desk was always helpful and friendly. One of the best hotels I've stayed at and I've traveled a lot. Thank you for the great service and comfortable room 😀

Great location with many services around hotel. Room was spotless and well appointed. Bed very comfortable and 6 great pillows. Love this hotel.

This is a very nice candlewood. I had a great time here. The staff is super friendly. I waited hours on my ride n they let me sit in the lobby n not in the cold. Rooms are well kept, nice patio area, n even the workers outside are sweet. I recommend this location.

A little outdated but the hardworking staff make up for it. No USB ports in my room, so bring your plug-in charger. Both Robert and Sasha at the front desk were very courteous, friendly, and professional all while displaying huge welcoming smiles! A very good value. Full size refrigerator with ice maker, cook top stove, small coffee maker, plus a clean fitness room and pool. No free breakfast but they do have a small store in the lobby. And there's a very good Waffle House quite close, so no worries. I'm glad I stayed there and will be back! Extra thanks to Sasha! She is a valuable employee and Candlewood Suites should be very proud of her. Thanks!

We stayed here on a quick overnight and really liked it. Wish we had more time to enjoy the place. Staff was friendly. Rooms were cleaned and well-stocked. Pool and workout room was kept up well.
