Ram Suryadevara DDS PC

I have always been a dental baby with bad dental experiences all my life until I found Dr. Ram and his staff! I no longer get that dreaded pit in my stomach before a dental appointment, I'm stress free! I am currently having extensive dental work done and to see the before and after pictures is such a dramatic change! I have a better outlook and higher self esteem as well as confidence! My smile is so much bigger now and there is no need to hide my teeth when I smile! I'm a new person! I love the gentle care I get from Dr. Ram, Faith, Tina and Marta! Mary and Cindy at the front desk are always so incredibly friendly and understanding...they are very accommodating to my needs. Dr. Ram was recommended by a good friend of mine and I will be forever grateful for that recommendation! Dr. Ram has changed my life and also helped me to get rid of my fear of dental work. I have never been happier, so thank you Dr. Ram and staff! I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a highly skilled dentist and staff!

I would highly suggest going to anybody BUT Dr. Ram. I went there for an abscessed front tooth that needed a root canal. Knowing I had an abscess, I also know that said abscess needs to be treated before any work, including root canals, are done. I had explained to the staff as well that I am extremely phobic of needles, they assured me that Dr. Ram was gentle. Ok, fine, we'll give this a shot. I also explained that since we're extremely tight on funds right now, that I would need to figure out how much any further work past x-rays and diagnosis were going to be so I knew I had the money on hand and ready to go.

So my fiance and I arrived on February 4th, and we were brought back to a chair. I'd like to say what happened next was great, but it was anything but. The nurse and Dr Ram came in and looked at my tooth, saw the abscess, and immediately started to apply gum numbing gel to me. No X-Ray, no going over WHY they were starting to numb me up. I of course, not being told WHY I was numbed up aside hearing Dr Ram tell his assistant 'the blue one'... which I can only imagine meant a blue needle. After I INSISTED on knowing WHY they were starting to numb me up, they finally did an X-ray!! They then pulled me aside, my gums numb now, so I couldn't even talk that well, and told me, apparently, they were going to do the root canal NOW, while I had an UNTREATED ABSCESS in my mouth, which is a HUGE no-no in dentistry! You don't want all that pus and stuff getting into any cut gums or anything when they're working on you, do you!?

I insisted on getting my medication to treat the abscess, and then once I was home and safe, immediately found a new dentist, who was appalled by hearing what had happened at Dr. Ram's office and how close I came to getting a horrible mouth infection. AVOID THIS GUY LIKE THE PLAGUE, people. He clearly only cares about how much money he can get off you and your insurance first! Yeesh!
