Minute Key

This is as easy as it gets! It’s a kiosk that you stick your key in, it makes a digital master and then proceeds to make the quantity of copies requested. I made 5 copies in less than 10 minutes. They then send you the digital master link in an email. You never have to worry about losing your keys when you have the digital master!

I really like the convenience and choice of key styles/colors, that will help me ID keys easily. I have not tried the keys yet because they are to my second home in another city. I like the fact of being able to share the key file with my kids as well.

It was quick and easy to use. The system didn’t provide me with the receipt I requested, otherwise it’s great and I would recommend to others.

The big box hardware store did not have a blank for the key I needed copied.... on the way out of the store, I passed the Minute Key kiosk. I gave it a try, and the kiosk had the blank that the store did not have! Made my day!

New keys worked fine

The key worked, it didn’t take long, and the selection of keys was fine. BUT the user experience of the kiosk left a lot to be desired. If you had tested the work flow of your users you would see that there is no prompt to remove your credit card. Yes, I left my credit card in the machine after retrieving my key and paying for it. This really upset me. I’ve never had that problem with any other POS system. I highly suggest looking into adding a prompt to alert the user their card it’s in the machine.
