Champy's Famous Fried Chicken

The crawfish were awesome tonight. They were hot ,fresh, spicy and tasty. Service was great. I will definitely be back for more.

2/24 Update:
I still love Champy's. We come at least once a month. The food and service has been constantly good for years now. The food is always hot. The beer prices are good. The servers are always friendly. I have nothing bad to say about Champy's.

I love Champy's. I've never had a bad meal here and I've been a lot. They have some of the best chicken tenders in town. All the sides are great. Fries are always done right and delicious. The on the bone fried chicken is always great as well. Prices are great too.

Nice selection of craft beer. I do wish they would rotate the kegs more but that's just because I love trying new beer.

I love supporting this small business.

Update: 4/18/21
We went for the brunch and the chicken and waffles were really good. The potatoes were very bland though. One thing that bothered me is there was no physical brunch menu. Even though our waitress explained what they served for brunch well, I didn't know what it cost and there is always a certain kind of rush feeling when you can't read exactly what you are getting.

I think Champy's could really benefit from a physical brunch and beer menus. I've also had this issue when sitting in the dining room and wanting a beer and while the wait staff has a beer menu, it usually doesn't have everything on it.

I'm not changing my 5 star review because I love Champy's and I will continue to come frequently because the quality and good service is always there.

We just went for our first time. Family friendly for our 2 year old. Great food. The Mac and cheese, tenders and wings were amazing! We had Lacey as our server and she was great!

Deliciously moist fried chicken with equally tasty sides of coleslaw and beans. This was a perfect taste of a local Southern food joint with original decorating.

Fast service, but uneven plate times.. it happens, waitress was very good with communicating this to our table.. very lovely looking ladies and really like seeing the managers shoes get dirty.. Seriously looking like she's cleaning and doing what managers are meant to do.. big plus in my book and the food was smackin! You go blondie! Thank you for the great meal, and really only complaint was the music was a tad high but not too shabby!! 👍💯

Wow! This was some amazing chicken and sides. The beans were delicious as were the fries, potatoes, and Mac and cheese. Jess did an amazing job and provided fantastic and friendly service. Would highly recommend you come and eat here. You won't regret it.

The building definitely grabs your attention and sparks curiosity but the a friend told me it was pretty good so I had to go and check it out. It was really good! I had the chicken tender sandwich. With a side of fries and coleslaw. The Champy’s sauce was really good too. I’m definitely going back to try a plate of chicken

Got take out tonight and it was delicious!!! It was our first time eating here. The chicken was so moist and the sides were very tasty. The folks at the front desk were friendly and efficient despite being extremely busy. I was in and back out picking up our order. We had a big order for a party and it was ready exactly on time. The atmosphere was very cool. We plan on eating in the restaurant soon. Thanks!

Our group of about 15 met at Champy’s tonight. Even though we were a big group, it was a great experience. Atmosphere was fun and the food was plentiful and delicious. What made our visit so special was the excellent service provided by Brandie. She was professional and so pleasant. All our food came out hot and delivered correctly..

I ordered the Buffalo chicken tender salad and it was pilled high with tenders. The salad was good. The macaroni and mashed potato sides left something to be desired. Fried were excellent and so was the key lime pie. The atmosphere was what attracted us in the first place and it was great. Service was excellent.

Great buffalo sauce on their chicken tenders! Perfect for the southern fried cravings and fast service too!

Had a wonderful experience at Champy’s on my way home from Huntsville. Brandy was a wonderful server, and gave excellent recommendations for entrees, sides, and beer.

The Buffalo tenders were flavorful, crisp, and juicy. I only wish I could’ve bought a pint of the Mac n cheese to take home.

Definitely looking forward to eating here again!

Favorite place for chicken fingers and catfish! Food is always good and service is great! Very friendly atmosphere and great spot for drinks with friends after work! Appetizers are always a hit! Even with the heat, we always enjoy sitting on the outdoor patio. Fans are nice!

If you order the chicken fingers, remember they are HUGE. Easily half of a chicken breast per "finger". Awesome food. Great staff, no line, no waiting at 1pm lunch on a Thursday.

We went tonight for the first time. I loved how colorful and festive the place look. The waitress was so very sweet and attentive. The food came out fast and tasted great. We will definitely go back!!!!

This is the place to go! The sausage, cheese, and pickle appetizer is weirdly delicious- a great combination that goes great with your meal. Everything is cooked to order and comes out hot and quick, so don’t be afraid to stop here for your lunch hour. I loved the fried chicken liver. It’s the real thing! Chicken is also seasoned very nicely. Portions are huge and service is great.

Today me and a few of my church members came for lunch after church , the fish was really hot, But the fries were lukewarm, this was my second time trying Champy’s , we also came on Friday evening , and everything was hot then . Our waiteress Mercedes was very sweet on Friday and today our waitress was name Makayla she was very polite also .

The appetizers were incredible. We had the smoked sausage, cheese, pickle plate and the sausage was soo good.... We also had the hushpuppies because why not, and they had a little kick that was so pleasant (jalapeño bits). Then came the chicken finger basket and their homemade Buffalo sauce was the perfect topper to some great tasting batter. We also had the grilled chicken and I've never had better... Then came the macaroni which you have to get in order to believe, each bite just gets cheesier and cheesier.. Overall incredibly fun atmosphere inside and amazing service, thank you Abby G you made great recommendations and took great care of us.

Best dang fried chicken and chicken livers in HSV and Madison. Catfish is pretty good as well, fried green tomatoes are good. We frequently eat here! And definitely recommend you try it out!

Eugene and his staff are great! Chicken is always hot and fresh. Service is consistently friendly and always ready to serve. When out of town friends or family want Southern fried chicken, Champy's is our main go to place! The fried jalapeños and pickles are delicious.
