Beautiful building like a page out of a story book !! The rooms are large there are some people that live here that are homeless as I did for a while. Everybody you meet his story and it’s really nice ! It’s conveniently located in new Braunfels, Texas , shops, restaurants everywhere it’s a beautiful building, and it needs to be preserved!!

A motel with old antique look from outside as well as from inside. Based on German theme with Texan taste.
Plants and faunas are liberally placed to create Natural atmosphere. Even reception and breakfast area is well decorated with plants.
One gets facility of antique look and style in most reasonable rates. Same facility in forest area would cost more.
Cleanliness is good but people may be thinking otherwise due to antique look.
Front Desk staff and owners are courteous and well behaved.
Anyone who behaves in gentle way, staff or any person will act gently, but for miscreants, anybody may shout or may be angry.
Definitely recommend for antique lovers and for price conscious people!

This place is very nice! When you walk into the lobby it reminded me of a walking into a jungle! It was very beautiful! In my opinion! The room very nice sized perfect for my fur baby, my love and myself! Esp for the price it is a week it's a steal!!! Definitely would stay here again! I felt very comfortable here with it just being me though out the day! My fiance, myself and our pit bull furbaby, travel all over the USA for his job so we stay at a lot of different places and this one is pretty nice for not having a full kitchen. The staff was also very friendly and very helpful! Its located right next to 7-11, mc. Donald's, Wendy's, Bill Millers BBQ and bush's chicken are a just a few of the resturaunts located in walking distance! I give this place 5 stars all the way!

I have been here for about a month and i can say i am very pleased and very comfortable here. The staff are kind and the rooms are clean and at a reasonable price. Pets are welcome too. My roudy one lives with me. A leash is a must.

I love this place ! Both husband and wife are GREAT and friendly ... Yes rough around edges but who cares beds /sheets clean a/c kicks ass and for the price can't beat it ! Don't have bugs regardless what others say ...and if they have a few? Who cares we ARE IN TEXAS for Christ sake zzz we have bugs everywhere in this awesome state!

For those of you who gave this hotel a bad rating, Shame on You! This for a 30+ year hotel was great. Front desk down to the cleaning staff. They even put a cone in front of our parking space by our room, as my husband has back issues. That you again for a wonderful stay, and we will BE BACK....MIKE & DHEILA

My flight came in late at night and they were wonderful! As I checked out in the morning they were very friendly and matched my energy, which is hard for some to do. I definitely will be staying here again when I return.

Very friendly accommodating Staff at the Front Desk. Housekeeping crew very interactive and pleasant to deal with. Love the old Alpine decor. Great visit and pricing. Will be back.

Stayed here for a while in 2018 due to a family emergency. The rooms were clean and well stocked, and I was given the privacy I asked for by the front desk. Strongly recommended.

Good hotel..I think there are way too many plants in the entry way walking into the hotel but just my opinion. It's a bit overwhelming seeing them all, but rooms are clean, check in is easy and all seemed to be in working order..

Pretty good for a cheap hotel. They just need to use some fabric softener for the towels. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.
